It finally looks like Thanksgiving so I'm posting one of my favorite poems. There's no need to comment. Just enjoy the verse.
November
by Thomas Hood No sun--no moon! No wonder I've had 3 colds in 4 1/2 months. Dr. Charles Gerba, a microbiologist at the University of Arizona, whose nickname is "Dr. Germ," spoke to ABC News recently, about the germiest professions in America: 1. Teacher/day-care worker Do you have a germy profession that you'd add to the list? History was made tonight! Obama has been elected president of the United States. It was announced at 8:01 PST. One minute after the West Coast polls closed. The news media is talking about a mandate. Everyone is excited. Even the commentators on Fox News. Even John McCain, who gave a very decent, concession speech. In fact, he seemed almost happy that it's over. I can't help but feel that the ugly, dark times of the last eight years are over. I feel an old emotion. One that I haven't felt in a long time. HOPE. |
