A man arrested in a domestic violence case early Thursday morning suddenly stopped breathing after being Tasered and bit by a sheriff's dog, deputies reported.
Handcuffs were removed from the man, and attempts were made to save his life, but he died a short time later at Kern Medical Center, deputies said.
The incident happened at about 12:15 a.m. in the 900 block of Feliz Drive in southeast Bakersfield.
