Details:
On 5/14/08 at 7:18 p.m., the Kern County Sheriff's Office received a report of a shooting in the area of Flower Street and Haley Street.
At 7:35 p.m., Kern Medical Center reported a victim of a shooting had arrived in their Emergency Room and at 8:06 p.m., Memorial Hospital also reported receiving a victim of a shooting.
During the investigation deputies discovered that 47-year-old CIPRIANO MALDONADO Sr. and his son, 27-year-old CIPRIANO MALDONADO Jr., where together near the intersection of Flower and Haley Streets when they were shot.
After the shooting CIPRIANO MALDONADO Sr. went to Kern Medical Center for treatment and his son CIPRIANO MALDONADO Jr. went to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Their injuries are not considered life threatening. Deputies were not able to obtain any details surrounding the shooting and the Kern County Sheriff's Office Gang Suppression Section is investigating the incident.
