Church group to donate blankets for children
 
On Wednesday, 5/21/08, at 10:00 a.m. the United Methodist Women of Saint
Marks will present 50 “blankets of love” to the Bakersfield Police Department at
1601 Truxtun Ave.  The blankets will be given to children involved in traumatic
incidents/situations.  
 
The hope is that these blankets will offer needed reassurance and comfort to
innocent children at a time when it is greatly needed.  
 
This is a project of the ladies church group.  For more information about the
