The Kern County Sheriff's Office would like to invite the public and media to attend the Kern County Regional Training Academy’s graduation ceremony, for Academy Class 2008-01   The graduation ceremony marks the successful 26 week completion of the Basic P.O.S.T (Peace Officer Standards and Training) Academy. Eighteen Kern County Sheriff’s Deputies and eight Bakersfield Police Officers will be graduating. The academy is jointly run by the Bakersfield Police Department and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office. The ceremony will be held at the Majestic Fox Theater at 2001 H Street on Saturday June 21st, 2008 at 1:00 PM.
