A man shines a laser in a Sheriff's helicopter and faces 20 years. Another man ends the life of a grandmother due to drag racing and gets one day in jail. Hhhhmmmmmmm....... posted by

To make the comparison apt, what was Espinoza "facing?" I strongly doubt the laser guy will see a day in jail when *HIS* sentence is handed down. posted by

RF, I am sure he will face some jail time, but it will probably be minimal. Probation will more than likely be the bulk of his sentence. And welcome back.

You really can't compare the two, Chica. This guy is guilty of a federal cime. As the article says, he will be sentenced until Federal Guidelines, not state or local. What this guy did is a felony. What the paraplegic did was stupid. Then there's the issue of possible damages. Interfereing with the safe operation of a helicopter over a residential area could lead to the death of many people. Being stupid and driving over the speed limit is not safe, but it's scope is limited. I'm not trying to excuse the quad's behavior. Just pointing out the differences in the two cases. I get frustrated by our justice system, too. posted by

These two are a piece of work. Dooley is trying to be a terrorist (see his arrest record). They should take them both off the streets before they really do something stupid. Snow is only slightly better. Hang them. posted by
