Time:  8:30:23 AM

Details:On 8-18-08, at about 4:10 pm, Deputies from the Metropolitan Patrol Division attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in Oildale. After a short vehicle pursuit the driver, identified as Jeremy Wayne Holliday DOB 10-19-1973, rammed the front of a patrol car in the area of Higgins Drive and Belle Avenue, in Oildale. Deputy Steven Wright was driving the patrol vehicle at the time it was rammed. Wright was not injured.

 Holliday exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Deputies pursed Holliday and he was located in the backyard of a residence. Holliday resisted arrest and Deputies deployed a Taser to assist them in taking Holliday into custody.

Holliday was booked into the Kern County jail for PC 245(c) Assaulting a peace officer, PC 69 Resisting executive officer, PC 496D Theft or extortion involving a motor vehicle, VC 10851(A) Grand theft auto, VC 2800.0 reckless evading peace officer. Holliday also has a no bail parole hold.
