I passed by the scene of the accident around 11:45 and from the way he was laying and the position of the bike and truck, I assumed the motorcyclist had pulled out in front of the garbage truck and didn't quite make it.  As a motorcycle rider myself, I just want to remind my brothers to always be looking and watching, and to never play chicken with a vehicle.  We lose everytime.  RIP John Conner

Your brother riders? What about your sister riders? Are they not as important?

Garbage trucks are pretty unforgiving. What a way to go.

I'm sure "brothers" came from the fact that the majority of the riders he probably rides with are males. But thanks for always being there to point that stuff out for us OB. I myself over looked that in the past and had to change ti before to reflect our female riders.   And yes a garbage truck is pretty unforgiving, hard price to pay for an obvious mistake. Thoughts are with the family at this time.

Hope the driver of the truck is ok at least. Can't imagine how he feels, even though the bike colided with him.  That driver was young as well.

The motor cycle he was on was not in top shape ,. I've read the articles on my husbands accident, and I find myself in such disbelief, ,. I know my husband was an excellent rider . what the f happened. Iheard about this blog . i heard people were saying he wasn't wearing his helmet.I know jonathan was and would not just jump right out in front of a large garbage truck. something malfunctioned on that bike ,it was a piece. According to what the the news paper said Jonathan hit the truck , I don't believe that for a second, yes its possible the brakes failed and out into the intersection he went . bad timing

Maybe this was just one of those horrible accidents . no one person is completely at fault . It was just his time.I want to let the driver of the truck know I am so sorry . I'm sure he must be going through it. I know i would be just beside myself if i were to hit someone and they died. I don't blame him and my heart goes out to him . If you're reading this please contact me, as i said i do not blame you at all, i just want to help you get through this too. It has been hard for me ,I miss him so much. but i have discovered that if i reach out and help others it makes his death manageable. that and my belief that god thankfully has a plan we may not know the who's,wheres, whys and hows of it at this time, but my experience has proven to me he does. please mr. Vasquez contact me so we can all embrace Jonathan's life . I'd like too tell you about him and learn about you,. and just maybe gods plan can be revealed.

God Bless all , BE SAFE, RIDE SAFE. and the old saying ,ride to live and live to ride. RIDE ON MY BROTHERS  oh yes AND MY SISTERS

Anyone who would knowingly drive a motorcycle that he knew was in poor condition and not safe is not using good sense.
