I saw on the local TV news this evening where the reporter said the police suspect foul play. REALLY? Only in Bakersfield...

Heh, I had that reaction too OldBlue... sort of a "really, as if finding a body in the trunk of a burning car isn't suspecious" reaction.

What a horrible, horrible way to die. I only hope that the "badly burned human" was already dead and was at least spared the hideous torture of incineration in an enclosed space.  I'm totally claustrophobic - even watching the cable guy crawl under our old house freaked me out, no thank you - so this crime hits a nerve with me!

We drive by there every day when I take my husband to work.  This morning when we drove by there were police all over the place, yellow police line tape and a reporter with a video camera.  We had no idea what was going on.  I figured I would see it on the news later on or read about it on here.  I am with vanity...I hope they were already dead....and wtf is up with all these bodies being found in trunks???

What's with bodies in trunks here lately?  You'd think the mafia's settled in the valley or something.

OldBlue, for as big as this town is, you'd think we'd have some reporters more on the ball...film at 11.

I also saw a bad accident on White Lane and Stine Road...an old man...like 88 years old...was turning left into the parking lot of the shopping center and didn't see a car that was coming and was T-boned and spun completely around.  The whole passenger side of his car was caved in.  The old guy had a big gash on his arm.  I hope everyone is ok.  That intersection is horrible.  I work in the In Shape City/Hollywood Video shopping center and it is not uncommon to see accidents on a weekly basis.  White Lane is horrible.  I once saw a car veer right into the gas main of one of the apartments.  Had to close down the whole road and it smelled of natural gas until pg and e came to fix it.  Several people have been in accidents there and died.  One just the other day...a motorcycle hit a trash truck.  Something needs to be done about White Lane.  From start to finish it is dangerous.

There seems always to be something demented happening in B-town

It's curious - really!  What is it about this place?

Weird, very weird. We've had too much murder horror in Bako lately.
