Train hits SUV in Delano

Kern County Fire Department Press Release DELANO, CA – Thursday December, 4th, 2008, at approximately 11:25 A.M. a call was received by the Kern County Fire Department for a vehicle that had been hit by a moving train. -------------- UPDATE FROM DELANO PD: On 12-5-2008, at about 1120 hours, Ana M. Santiago, 64yrs old, entered the intersection of Cecil Ave., and the Railroad tracks. A train traveling north bound struck her vehicle, causing severe injury to both Santiago and her juvenile male passenger. Both Santiago and the male juvenile were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment. The cause of the accident is not yet known. 4 comments from 4 users
