Kern County Fire Department Press Release

DELANO, CA – Thursday December, 4th, 2008, at approximately 11:25 A.M. a call was received by the Kern County Fire Department for a vehicle that had been hit by a moving train.

Upon arrival, fire crews found a stopped train that had hit a Tahoe traveling East on Cecil.  Crews checked the passengers of the vehicle to see if there were any injuries.  The driver had complaints of pain to the back.  The passenger, an unrestrained child, had a head injury, but was alert and conscious.  The passenger was transported to KMC by ground
ambulance.

The Kern County Fire Department would like to take this opportunity to emphasize the need to ensure all passengers are wearing seat belts and to practice traffic safety around railroads.

There were no reported injuries to Firefighters.

Sounds like this moron should be charged with child endangerment.  And in case it needs to be repeated in espanol.....Los sonidos como este imbécil deben ser acusados de poner en peligro de niño.
