Police: Juvenile steals car to force officers to pursue him
Bakersfield Police officers chased a juvenile who sped away at more than 100 mph after veering toward and nearly hit an officer who was impounding a vehicle, the department reported. And it turns out, police said, the juvenile had stolen the black KIA sedan from the 200 block of East Fairview Drive indenting to find an officer and start a pursuit. It happened just before 3 a.m. Saturday in the 4600 block of South H Street. The pursuit ended after about a minute when the driver lost control and landed upside down in an irrigation canal in the 9000 block of South H Street, the police release said. Officers broke the car’s rear window and pulled out the driver, who was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon using a vehicle, felony evading and grand theft of an auto, according to the police news release. 15 comments from 9 users

I blame the parents of the juvenile. If "parents" are legally responsible for humans until the age of 18, then there should be some accountability. You can't blame "society" unless you expect the village to raise your child. And maybe your complaint is validated as such. posted by
