MINOR INJURY COLLISION WESTBOUND STATE ROUTE 58 EAST OF TEHACHAPI BLVD

On February 12, 2009 at approximately 7:45 A.M . Mr. Wilfredo Pujanes (56 year old male, Sacramento, Ca) was driving his 2001 Ford Ranger Pick Up as it was snowing.  Due to Mr. Pujanes unsafe speed for the slick roadway conditions, he lost control of his vehicle.  His vehicle left the roadway and overturned .  The passenger of the vehicle, Ms. Merlita Pujanes (49 year old female, Sacramento, Ca) received minor injuries as a result of this collision.  She was transported to Tehachapi Hospital for treatment.  Mr Pujanes was uninjured.  Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.  Alcohol was not a factor in this collision.

The California Highway Patrol reminds drivers to please slow down during wet and slippery roadway conditions.  Remember the posted maximum speed limit is 65 M.P.H. for the Tehachapi Area of State Route 58, but when it’s wet, raining, snowy, or icy 65 M.P.H, can be hazardous or even deadly.  Please slow down during inclement weather,
