On 2-23-09, at 9:45 P.M., Kern County Sheriff's Deputies arrested John
Jacob Jones, a 26 year old white male, at 5501 Norris Road in
Bakersfield. Jones had an outstanding warrant charging him with robbery,
assault with a deadly weapon, and burglary.  The warrant was issued in
connection to a home invasion robbery which occurred on 1-27-09 on
Harrison Street in Ford City.

Deputies are currently seeking a second suspect in this case.The
suspect identified as  Brian James McAllister, a 26 year old white male,
6'1", 170 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes.  McAllister has an active
warrant charging him with robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and
burglary.  McAllister should not be approached or confronted by the
public.  Anyone with information on McAllister's whereabouts is asked to
call 911 or 861-3110 to report the information.

Details:On January 27, 2009, at approximately 10:00 pm, Deputies of the
Kern County Sheriff’s Office went to a residence in the 100 block of
Harrison Street, in the city of Taft, regarding a residential robbery.

Arriving Deputies learned three (3) males had been robbed, with two (2)
of them being assaulted with a deadly weapon, at the residence.  The
victims reported that two (2) suspects forced entry into the residence
by breaking the living room window. 

Once inside the suspects, armed with a knife and stick, demanded money
from one of the victims.  This victim then gave the suspects forty (40)
dollars in cash and a cellular telephone.

After this, the suspects forced open a bedroom door where two other
male occupants were asleep.  The suspects then assaulted one of the
males with a knife, which resulted in two (2) stab wounds to the head
and another to his left hand. The other victim received a laceration to
the head during a struggled with the suspects. 

The suspects left the residence and the victims were able to notify the
Sheriff’s Office.  The two victims that received non life threatening
injuries during the robbery were transported to local hospitals in
Bakersfield for treatment. 

Suspects are described as two (2) white males, 20-25 years old,
5’10” to 6’0”, 150 -170 pounds.  They also were described
as wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, green and black pants. 

Investigators of the Kern County Sheriff's Office Taft Substation are
conducting an investigation of the incident and urge anyone with
information to contact them at (661) 763-8550.
