DATE OF INCIDENT: 03/01/2009      &nb sp;   TIME: 1750 hours
LOCATION: 1000 block of S. Tulare Street, Bakersfield
DATE OF DEATH: 03/01/2009      &nb sp;  TIME: 1814 hours
PLACE OF DEATH: Kern Medical Center Emergency Room
INVESTIGATING AGENCY: Bakersfield Police Department

Details: The decedent was shot by a police officer in the 1000 block of S. Tulare Street.  The decedent was then transported to Kern Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

Comments: The decedent's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
