Something's way wrong with this for sure. The guy had "several past felony convictions." I'm not a big fan of 3 strikes, but it seems like this is a case where it might have actually been useful. Was the DA asleep at the switch, or what? Seven years probably means the guy will probably be out in three or four. Sheesh! posted by

Don't worry, considering his violent predilections he'll get into a fight in the joint and end up with a bunch more time tacked onto his sentence. If we're lucky, someone else will kill him and rid the taxpayers of another $32k/year burden!
