'Joker' with a ponytail suspected in downtown stabbing

This is a BPD news release: On Tuesday, March 10 at 3 p.m., BPD officers responded to the 1400 block of Chester Avenue regarding a report of an assault with a deadly weapon — stabbing. On arrival officers observed the victim, Clifton Wells, a white male, 35 years old, suffering from a serious stab wound to his abdomen. Wells was transported to KMC where he was rushed to emergency surgery and is listed in stable condition at this time. Wells was able to provide a description of the suspect: White male, 30-40 years old, 6 ft, 130-180 pounds, long brown hair shaved on sides with a ponytail in back, wearing a long black sleeve T-shirt and blue jeans with an aka of "Joker," still armed with a pocket knife. The BPD just released a photo of the suspect, although this photo shows him with his hair down, and not with a ponytail. He has reportedly shaved off his beard. DO NOT approach him if you see him. He is dangerous, and he's not joking! Call 911! |
