Armed Robbery Update
 
The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in
identifying and locating two suspects wanted in connection with the 3/23/09
armed robbery of the Havanna House, 3615 Stockdale Hwy.
 
On 03/23/09, at 8:25 p.m. two suspects, one armed with a firearm, entered the
business and confronted the clerk who was standing near the counter.  The
suspect, armed with a firearm, forced the clerk behind the counter and
demanded all the money from the cash register.  The suspects also grabbed
cigarettes from behind the counter and fled.
 
The suspects are described as:
1) hispanic male, 20-30, 5-9, 220, black mustache, heavy set,
wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a blue “KC” baseball
cap under the sweatshirt hood, dark jeans, and black and white
tennis shoes.  He was armed with a black semi-auto handgun.
2) black male, 20’s, 5-9, 180, wearing a black and white hooded
sweatshirt with blue writing on it.  The back of the jacket reads
“West Side Spirit” in bold white letters. The suspect is also
wearing a black “CR” baseball cap under the sweatshirt hood,
long black shorts, and black and white tennis shoes.
 
The clerk was not injured.
