Deputies find Wasco shooting victim dead in SUV

Homicide in Wasco

Details:

Deputies from the Wasco City Substation were dispatched to the area of the 600 and 700 block of D St in the City of Wasco. Upon arrival they located a small suv still running in the street with one victim deceased inside the vehicle. The victim had been shot numerous times. While the Deputies were on scene a second victim arrived who also had been the victim of a shooting. The second subject had no life threatening injuries and was transporteds to KMC for treatment. 

Deputies learned that both victims had been in the suv when they were followed North bound on D Street. The victims where fired upon by the occupants of a green van or suv type vehicle. After the suspects shot at the victims they fled West on 5th Street from the scene. The second victim fled the vehicle he was in and ran to a family members house in the area and returned to the scene after deputies arrived.


The investigation is still on going.
