That irresponsible, pathetic excuse for a human being took a mother from her daughter and disabled son should be the one who is dead!! The woman she killed was an amazing person whom I knew personally, she had just finished working a double shift at a local hospital. If there is ANY justice that woman will go to prison for the rest of her life!!! posted by

Our family in Montana is still learning what happened and are in shock and disbelief that this could happen to such a good and decent person who was a very dedicated mother. Our hearts and prayers go to her family for this terrible tragedy that came upon them and their incredible loss. I can't say if I were the driver that caused this if I would ever experience another moment of peace of mind--it would be too undeserving and too much to hope or pray for. It takes great strength not to express my anger in this post. posted by

This 37 year old woman should be punished severely for taking the life of a wonderful woman, mother, friend and coworker. She dedicated her life to HELPING OTHERS, and was kind to all, despite all the drunks we deal with in the Emergency Department. How tragic and unfair that her life would be taken by such a complacent person as she was driving home after working a night shift. The destruction that this inebriated woman has caused is indescrible. Her extended family at Kern Medical Center Emergency Department is now mourning her tragic death, all the while being expected to treat "everyone with kindness and compassion", including murderers on the road. I don't know if the public realizes how difficult this is. Every night we deal with drunk drivers who laugh and yell profanities at medical staff and law enforcement, claiming "they don't care." Where is the remorse in these individuals, where is the respect for the law? Why should any of us even respect these sorry excuses for human beings and allow them a "fair trial." This murderer shouldn't even be allowed a trial, and if she had any remorse at all, she would just plea out and take her punishment, as she deserves. And it should be Second Degree Murder, none of this Manslaughter stuff. We are all just completely disgusted with this tragedy. Our hearts go out to her mother and children and everyone that loved this wonderful young woman.
