Police release composite of rape suspect

BAKERSFIELD POLICE
DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE

Previously Released September 25, 2009

On 9/21/09, at about 11:30 p.m., a female reported she was forced into a truck at
knife point by a lone suspect in the area of central downtown Bakersfield. The
victim reported she was driven to a local hotel in the 6800 block of South Union
Avenue, where she was sexually assaulted and robbed. This follow-up release
includes a computer generated composite of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a:

Hispanic Male 28-30 years old, 5-7, 170-180 pounds, very short “crew-cut” style
hair that has grown out some since being cut and is medium complexioned.
The suspect has a tattoo on one thigh of the letter “E” in solid green block
style lettering and the letter “F” in the same style and color on the other
thigh.

At the time the suspect was wearing a short sleeve black t-shirt with a white
designer logo of some kind, black and white shorts extending below the knees
with an unknown pattern.

The suspect vehicle is described as:

a mid-90’s model, possible Ford truck, possibly having an extended or
crew cab, with dull exterior black paint, (possibly a re-paint), and “star” designed
aftermarket chrome wheels. The interior is black with grey cloth seats and an
aftermarket stereo with a green illuminated clock protruding from the dash.
Clothing items and shoes were also seen both in the bed of the truck and behind
the driver and front passenger seats.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is encouraged to
contact the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.

Is it just me or does this story sound kind of fishy. There are soooo soo many details that it almost makes you wonder if A) She is a "PRO" and knows what to note for personal safety or B) She had been in the vehicle before. My thoughts are that it was an arranged meet and he stiffed her the $$$$$. Lets hope she is telling the truth, because to make false reports just to get back at someone is inexcusable.

Goldilox, I think the being shot theory was spectulation on the part of the blogger who posted that in the other blog because the initials of the shot man were EF.

Isudduth, I don;t think that the story sounds fishy at all.  When someone is assaulting you, those few moments can feel like years, and in those lengthy seconds you can gather a lot of information. The images captured in your mind are often clear as day, not only after the incident, but for many years to come. It doesn't take a 'PRO' to remember someones features/car/tats.

I hope that they catch this loser before he strikes again. With distinctive tats like that, I am sure someone will eventually throw him under the bus.

As to the comment that ISUDDUTH left, obviously you have never been through anything like this.  Hasn't your parents ever drilled into your head that if someone ever snatched you up, to not panic and pay attention to everything that is going on around you for instance where you are going, different sounds or noises, the color of the vehicle, the color of the eyes, hair color, clothing, tatoos, scares, anything helps.  You know paying attention might be why she is still with us  today.

Personally I think she did a good job, and I hope she is able to let go of the bad memories.  I hope they catch this guy and rape him, let him see how it feels.
