Let's see, Census data for the 93241 zip code, which encompasses Lamont, indicates that more than half the population was born in the United States, so I'm not sure they'd flee to Mexico. posted by

That might be true Leonel, but I'm sure the other almost 50% came into this country illegally before they had the other almost 50% at KMC. But regarding the two stabbing suspects/witnesses, I would guess they are either hiding out in Lamont or east Bako. Hey, has the KCSO checked Pioneer Park yet? posted by

No actually, since only 37 percent of Lamont residents are noncitizens. This doesn't mean they are illegal immigrants since they could also be permanent legal residents or otherwise have legal status without American citizenship. In fact, I haven't seen any data on the number of illegal immigrants there but would be happy to review it if it exists.

How can living in the US without having American Citizenship be legal? I just explained that above. Read it again. As for the jail log, it should be obvious that Spanish surname does not indicate immigration status. But you gents be sure to let me know when you have some reliable data, will you? Thanks. posted by

How can living in the US without having American Citizenship be legal? Even those without paperwork aren't committing any criminal acts. More like failure to register your truck before the deadline. posted by

RF, sneaking into this country via whatever means one chooses, (truck, boat, desert crossing, fence jumping, swimming), is illegal. How is that not a criminal act? posted by
