Police looking for man who took money from car

BAKERSFIELD POLICE
DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE

For Immediate Release

November 4, 2009 

Bakersfield Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect
wanted for grand theft.  
 
On 10/6/09, at about 12:20 p.m., the suspect depicted in the attached
surveillance photo was observed to lean into the victims open vehicle, while it
was parked at the gas pump at the Fastrip 4013 South H Street, and remove a
bank bag containing cash, checks, and money orders.  The suspect then fled in a
black late 90s Dodge Ram truck.
 
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his twenties.
 
Anyone with information related to the identity of this suspect is encouraged to
call Detective Brian West at 326-3553.

I hope this knucklehead used some of the stolen loot to buy himself a better looking t-shirt.

Hmmm....why would someone leave money like that in their car with the door unlocked?  Duh!

My guess is the "victim" arranged for her boyfriend to be at the store when she parked and went inside...
