I hope this doesn't happen again. I wonder if continuing the universal turn lane that exists in front of Frito Lay all the way till it reaches Bussell road will help the situation. Most drivers are traveling at sixty mph on highway 58 and some do not use turn signals when they are turning off of 58 or turning onto 58. The road needs a double line all the way down, or turn lanes or I fear this will happen again.

He was turning right.  Double lines or middle turn lanes wouldn't have mattered in this case.

Its pretty sad to think that maybe if they were wearing there seat belt, they probably would have been alive. That's why its so important to wear your seat belts, i used to never put mine on until my dad had a bad accident but lived because he was wearing his seat belt. Anyway its still a sad situation to be in if your a family member of the people that lost lives do to a auto wreak. What a tragic lost.

Sounds to me like they came up on a vehicle turning right and didn't notice until the last second.  I imagine we've all done it at one time or another.  Lack of attention causes that sort of thing.

And no I couldn't sleep past 4:30 this morning and I HATE THIS TIME CHANGE!

Are accidents along this road common?  My step-father was the truck driver who was injured in the first crash that evening, and I thought it was tragic that another accident happened the same night, in less than an hour.

It's a major connection to the coast, two lane, 55 mph speed limit, lots of farm roads going off of it.  It's gonna happen.  It's not as heavily traveled as 46 though and the preferred route for a lot of people who like the less traffic and the scenery.  (One you get in the hills that is.)

Daniel was a friend of our family..this is a difficult time for all of us...I especially feel sad for the family of the other man...Randy...It is a tragic accident ...especially right after an accident from earlier...

This is a sad story indeed. However, I have a dear friend immediately related to these men.  You drink and drive and this is what happens. Sad thing is, these 2 were in a drunk driving accident last year and should have known better, It's a sad loss but at the same time, they were given a second chance on this earth.
