A March 2 trial date has been set for Daniel Patrick Willsey, who is accused of causing the crash that killed Kern County sheriff’s Deputy Joe Hudnall in November 2006. The latest delay in the case is due to defense attorneys needing time to watch and review findings of a Caltrans re-enanctment of the collision. Willsey, a Southland attorney, has pleaded innocent to charges of vehicular manslaughter and being under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
