A 41-year-old tow truck driver, who reportedly struck a California Highway Patrol officer in June and then drove away, turned himself in Sunday night, officers said.

A 56-year-old Los Angles man swerved into the path of a semi-truck early Thursday morning on Highway 46 where the man was killed, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Thomas William Corell was driving a 2008 BMW 550i at 2:05 a.m. when for unknown reasons he went from the westbound land into the eastbound lane and collided head on with a tractor-trailer rig, officers said.
