You know you want $1.97 gas

... so it's a good thing reporter John Cox found some places selling it for that and close to it.

Find other cheap gas on our map.

Good gas finds, anyone?

Where is gas $1.97?  And why is it that it seems like the northwest has the most expensive gas in Bakersfield?

And one more nagging question:  Why are gas stations charging $.10/gallon more when you use credit or debit cards?

First question....the news tonight showed an AM/PM at 1.97.

Second question....because they can.  Even though I thought it was illegal.  Used to be you couldn't put a surcharge on a credit card sale but I guess if you call it a discount for gas that's different.  Too bad they don't word it that way.

If you enlarge the picture above the caption tells you that the picture was taken at Tip Top Liquor.

...It's amazing how much more you'll learn if you enlarge the picture and read their captions.

I paid 1.96 yesterday at the 24/7 truckstop on Weedpatch Hwy and E. Brundage. For several weeks it's been 8-10 cents cheaper than ANYWHERE else in town.

Fastrip was 2.08 yesterday and 24/7 was 1.96. Today, Fastrip was 1.99, I have to check out 24/7, it'll probably be around 1.92...

How low can it go? I'd predicted less than 2.00 by Christmas, but now? 1.75? 1.50?

We are paying $1.55 here in Casper and this is an energy state! Go figure :0)

OT, but guess what Hugo Chavez of Venezuela is buying with *HIS* oil revenue?

A Russian nuclear reactor...
