Condors hit the road
The Condors proved to be road warriors last year, setting a franchise record for wins away from home (20), which turned out to be just one less than they won at home.
They’re going to need a good run on on the road over the next 17 days as they will play nine games in five states and Canada. They won’t return to the friendly confines of Rabobank Arena until Nov. 14. First up is Phoenix Oct. 26 and then Fresno on Oct. 27 and, sleeper bus or not, I’m glad I’m not making that journey. It’s too early to gauge just how good all the road opponents are, but Phoenix, which struggled last season, is off to a 3-1 start. And Fresno, well, a line brawl between the Condors and Falcons last Saturday night showed just how tough the entire season-long series with Fresno might be. Looking ahead, there’s three games in Victoria then a trip back East to face Reading, Trenton and Elmira. 1 comments from 1 users
