Griffith will be in action on Friday night
The Condors will have little more skill and grit on the ice Friday night as forward Todd Griffith makes his season debut. against Las Vegas.
Griffith has a ton of skill. He had 43 points (26 goals and 17assists) for the Condors last season before suffering a broken hand late in the season. He was also named to the ECHL All-Star game as well as the All-Rookie team. He rebroke his hand when he came back in the second round of the playoffs and off-season surgery has delayed his start this season. As for grit, Griffith has a knack for getting under the skin of opponents as runs his mouth nearly as fast as he skates. And he’s at his best when he plays a physical type of game. Griffith has been like a race horse in the gate chomping at the bit for the past two weeks. No doubt about it, he’ll be a player to watch on Friday night. 2 comments from 2 users

I'm jumping on the bash the Condors train ! whats with dumping Chedorek, one of the few guys who is hustling, and getting some points for a kid who's doing nothing in Wheeling???. I may have to agree with the guy in todays paper, who says we cant expect to compete with the affiliated teams, and that the last few years of success have been a oddity that no one can figure out! I hear the front office say every year " we are trying" but that can only last so long! I've heard Bartlett say " well the AHL does not want to deal with west coast teams ! HELLO where is Stockton, Las Vegas, and the other "west coast "affiliated teams ?

Chwedoruk had speed and energy and could score. But he was consistenly out of position which created other problems. When there are systems all five skaters have to know what those systems are and where they are supposed to be. If a guy is supposed to be just outside the blueline on the left boards and he's busting across the red line in the center of the ice he's creating problems. As for the letter writer, he may beright on some accounts, but he's dead wrong on where NHL players get the majority of their players, which is the junior hockey ranks, just like the minor pro level. I also think an affiliation woudl be nice but Pensacola has one and they are worse than the Condors. The Condors need goaltending (see new post). And thanks or the rare reply. mike
