Several Condors are in AHL camps

The  Condors open training camp Oct. 3 (on the ice at Honda Center in Anaheim no less) but seven contracted players have been, or currently are in American Hockey League camps.
If anyone doubts the benefit of an affiliation, just remember that the Condors have never had more than three contracted players at AHL camps in any past season.
Defeneseman Chris Kaufman was in camp with the Norfolk Admirals (which opened on Sept.22) but has been released and will soon be in Bakersfield.
Winger Danny Roussin is in camp with Milwaukee, which opened camp on Sunday, and five players are in camp with Iowa, Anaheim's affiliate. In Iowa are forwards Liam Huculak, Matt Pope and Dale Reinhardt and defensemen Martin Frechette and Tom Morrow.
Toss in anywhere from five to seven players being assigned to the Condors by the Ducks and one can certainly tell this will be like no other season in Condorstown.
And just for a bit of intrigue, remember the Condors still retain the ECHL rights to center Mark Derlago, who is trying to crack the lineup of a very talented Manitoba Moose squad.
And how about this, a couple of former Condors have seen some action in NHL preseason games. Alexander Bolduc played more than 14 minutes for the Vancouver Canucks in a 5-4 shootout win over the Ducks on Sunday and remains with the Canucks, who cut down to 37 players on Monday.
Jon “Nasty” Mirasty (who amassed 358 penalty minutes in 56 games as a rookie for Bakersfield in in 2003-04 played for Columbus on Saturday night against Nahsville and had a good scrap with former San Diego Gull Josh Gratton.  Mirasty, who played in the AHL last season, was released on Monday.

Lets just hope we see this level of talent at the end of the season.
