CondorsTalk - > Condors Talk -> A better effort nets a point
A better effort nets a point

The Condors just can't seem to find a way to win one-goal games, but they appear to be finding their way toward being a better team.
Saturday night's 3-2 shootout loss to the Fresno Falcons was the most complete game yet for this young team.
On the plus side, they made far fewer trips to the penalty box, and their defensive-end play and transition game was the best yet from start to finish of a game.
Condors coach Marty Raymond pointed out that, despite losing in shootout, that Bakersfield's overall game was far better from start to finish than during the 7-4 win over Stockton on Wednesday night.
Her also admitted the loss of offensive-minded defenseman Kevin Truelson, who decided not to play a few days into training camp, is hurting the team on the power play.
As we all know, defensemen who score 45-50 points a year aren't easy to find. The Condors don't have that power-play quarterback but Raymond is hopeful one of the youngsters will grow more comfortable and confident in that role as the season progresses.
Two 25-point defensemen might be what the Condors need this season.

If we can get two defensman to put up 25 points each, I will take it.  Their defensive end play more than makes up for the loss of Truelson, who was notoriously soft in his own defensive end.

Sorry to burst your little bubble, but they need Truelson....Have you ever played hockey woodbutcher? Every little comment you leave shows how little you know about Hockey...How about you support the players instead of talk bad about them or let's see how good you are on the ice....show a little class sweetie
