Condors lost to a better team

Bottom line: Las Vegas was the better team and that’s why the Wranglers are advancing to the ECHL Pacific Division finals and Condors players are contemplating what to do for the next few months.
A month ago, the Condors were the better team but by playoff time the situation had changed.
The loss of the aging Ferraro brothers late in the season  — Chris due to a broken leg in a scrum with Alaska and Peter due to league suspension for an altercation during that incident and then waived by the Wranglers — actually made the Wranglers a better team. Vegas was younger, hungrier and, truth be told, probably had a better dressing room with the departure of the Ferraros.
Las Vegas got a lot of players back from the American Hockey League as the series progressed which certainly helped and the Condors just looked worn out by Game 7.
The overall team strength of the Wranglers was the key in this series. Fourteen Wranglers scored goals, six of them with two or more. Just seven Condors scored goals.
That won’t win many playoff series, as the Condors found out.
But hey, at least Bakersfield didn’t get swept like Idaho or ousted in five games like Utah.
They put up a good fight and just lost to a better team.
There is no shame in that.

What's that Marty Raymond says?  No more excuses?  When's that supposed to start anyway?

"A sucker is born every minute, in Bakersfield, 6,000 are born every season."
