Can Bakersfield win without better goaltending?
Condors coach Marty Raymond effectively called out his goaltenders last Saturday night after Jamie Hodson and Danny Taylor produced a combined .883 save percentage and the Condors went 0-1-1 against the Victoria Salmon Kings.
Can Bakersfield’s offense keep scoring at a good enough clip (currently averaging 4.0 goals per game) to overcome so-so goaltending or will the Condors fade down the stretch if the goaltending does not improve? 2 comments from 2 users

Sure they can win without better goaltending. They just need to score a dozen goals per game. What's so hard about that? That seems more realistic that better goalblocking at this point....

You can't entirely blame the goaltending, although I didn't see those games. Defense (defence) also plays a huge part in the goalie's numbers. If the D' isn't doing their job well or isn't communicating with the goalie, then the GAA will suffer as a result. Mattloch is right though. Score enough goals and you won't have to worry about it.
