The Condors, picked in a preseason poll to finish near the bottom of the ECHL standings, are a handful of victories away from finishing first in the ECHL Pacific Division and second in the National Conference. The fourth best road team in the ECHL (212-6-2-4, .625 percent) will be put to the test over the next 15 days as the Condors begin their most gruelling journey of the season — nine games in four states, starting with the league-leading Alaska Aces tonight. Bakersfield is third in the National Conference heading into the road trip and just how well it does will likely play a major role in playoff seeding.
