The Condors will have little more skill and grit on the ice Friday night as forward Todd Griffith makes his season debut. against Las Vegas. Griffith has a ton of skill. He had 43 points (26 goals and 17assists) for the Condors last season before suffering a broken hand late in the season. He was also named to the ECHL All-Star game as well as the All-Rookie team. The longest road trip of the season is done, but the schedule doesn’t get any easier for the Condors as the Las Vegas Wranglers, the best team in the ECHL National Conference, will be making Bakersfield their home away from home for the next several days. The Condors ended their nine game road trip with bookend victories — one in Phoenix to start and one in Elmira to finish — but in between they went 0-5-1. These are certainly trying times for the Condors. The Condors extended their winless streak to six games on Thursday and if the goaltending doesn’t get significantly better in a hurry they might be heading home from a nine-game road trip with only one victory — that coming a 6-5 shootout against Phoenix in the first game of the road trip back on Oct. 26. It’s official. The Condors are now on a losing streak. After dropping two straight road games by a goal (both game-winning goals were scored with two minutes to play), the Condors made it three straight losses on Friday night when the Victoria Salmons Kings skated to a 7-4 victory.
