Defenseman Sasha Pokulok, a first-round draft choice of the Washington Capitals in 2005, will be joining the Condors this fall.
Pokulok, 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, has split time over the past three seasons with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League and the South Carolina Stingrays, who won the 2009 ECHL championship.

It took most of the summer, but the the long-expected announcement that the Bakersfield Condors were renewing their affiliation with the Anaheim Ducks finally came on Wednesday.
The deal is for one year.
The Condors signed their first-ever NHL affiliation with the Ducks last season and clearly the relationship, at least on the hockey side, was strained by the end of the season.
But there were enough positives on both sides for the two organizations to become partners for another season....
