Do you have any Halloween traditions?

Is there anything that you do every year just for Halloween? Is it a family tradition that has been passed down? What are your Halloween traditions?

Yes, we take all the grandkids trick or treating and then we come home go through their candy and then we watch scary movies and fall asleep in the floor in front of the TV. Boring for some , maybe but good family fun for our family .

We live in Ridgecrest.  I am a single mom of 3 boys. We go to the 3 major stores Wal-mart, K -mart ,Rite-aid and this year Stater Bro's too(they had the best display).  Just to rate the displays and see if anyone has anything new.  We look forward to it every year.

I make this "Graveyard Crunch" mix recipe that I have. Watch The Nightmare Before Christmas, Decorate the house with any and all Halloween decorations I have from the previous year. Then as the Month goes on and my decorations increase I add to it. Go to this Pumpkin Patch down south where I am from (Huntington Beach), play with the goats, play in the haunted house and pick out our Pumpkins. So on and so forth.

Halloween is a time when we light candles for our loved ones who have crossed over. We also have been amassing Halloween decorations over the past few years; it is more fun than Christmas! My kids are past trick-or-treating age, but we all love giving out candy and treats to the kids in the neighborhood. If it is a cold Halloween night, we even give out hot chocolate (we live in Tehachapi, and Halloween night is often cold). We have a blast with it. When the doorbell rings, my son and I try to beat each other to the door!
