Another major school institution has implemented a mandatory vaccination policy that bars both new and current students who haven’t received the meningitis and MMR shots from enrolling for the coming academic year.
Failure to provide such proof would mean the students would be forced to take the shots on campus at the Student Health Center – refusal to do so would prevent them from enrolling and could also lead to further judiciary punishment.
The e mail reads as follows;
All freshmen and all new students, regardless of classification, must have:
1) Proof of the meningitis vaccination (Manactra (preferred) or Menomune)
2) If you were born after 1956, proof of two (2) measles containing vaccinations. One of these vaccines must be an MMR vaccination after 1980.
3) Acceptable proof of tuberculosis screening within the last year.
This is a registration requirement, whether transfer or graduate.
If you are living off campus this is still a requirement. Please turn in proof of these immunizations and tuberculosis screening before moving into campus housing or the first day of class if living off campus. All vaccines and tuberculosis screening are available at the Student Health Center. Failure to submit your immunization and TB test requirement could slow down your moving into residence hall room.
The e mail also informs juniors and seniors already living on campus that they need to get a meningitis shot if they haven’t received one in the last four years, even though as the advisory admits, “This is NOT a regular childhood immunization and it was not a requirement when you entered the University of Alabama.”
“Failure of any student regardless of classification not meeting the immunization and tuberculosis screening requirement may result in a disruption in ability to register for classes and possible disciplinary action per Office for Judicial Affairs,” states the e mail.
Earlier this year, the Daily Mail highlighted the story of 5-year-old Melody Brook, who went from a bouncing and bubbly child to a virtual vegetable after she took the MMR vaccine.
As we have previously highlighted, there is no law in America, aside from those applying to medical workers, that says you or your child has to take any vaccine whatsoever, no matter what any executive order, requirement, mandate or policy dictates, there is no situation where you can go to prison for refusing a government vaccine under the U.S. constitution and the law of the land.
This was particularly prescient for the parents of more than 1600 children in Prince George’s County, Maryland, who in 2007 were told they could be put in jail for failing to get their kids vaccinated. Appearing on the Alex Jones Show, a state prosecutor involved in bringing potential criminal charges against the parents was forced to admit that there was no law that mandated parents to vaccinate their children.
The only way mandatory vaccinations can be enforced in this context is by removing privileges, as in the case with Alabama University preventing immunized students from registering, but many people would argue that education is not a privilege but a human right, and to deny a student enrollment because they refuse to have a needle jabbed in their arm is clearly discriminatory.
The only other way to implement mandatory vaccinations is of course by force, which is what many fear will happen in the event of a mass swine flu pandemic this fall which the government has already assured us is inevitable.
State health authorities have already confirmed that if the government were to announce a mandatory vaccination program, then there would be no exemptions whatsoever and the program could be carried out with the use of force if necessary.
As reported by CNS News earlier this month, a health-care reform bill approved by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee called The Affordable Health Choices Act, will fund the creation of state “intervention” teams that will carry out home visits in order to check that both children and adults have been vaccinated and also provide “provision of immunizations”.
Toxin linked to autism and neurological disorders to be included in shots
The Washington Post confirmed today that the swine flu vaccine, which is set to be rolled out nationwide this fall in what some fear could ultimately become a mandatory vaccination program, will contain mercury, a toxin linked with autism and neurological disorders.
Claims by the CDC and the Institute of Medicine, following a whitewash study that ignored previously verified evidence, that thimerosal, a mercury based preservative, has no causal relationship to skyrocketing cases of autism have been soundly rejected by top doctors and scientists ever since.
Epidemiologist Tom Verstraeten and Dr. Richard Johnston, an immunologist and pediatrician from the University of Colorado, both concluded that thimerosal was responsible for the dramatic rise in cases of autism but their findings were dismissed by the CDC.
Cases of autism in the U.S. have increased by 1,500 per cent since 1991, which is when vaccines for children doubled, and the number of immunizations is only increasing. Just one in 2,500 children were diagnosed with autism before 1991, whereas one in 166 children now have the disease.
A peer reviewed study by Dr. Mark Geier which appeared in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons showed that the IOM research was flawed because it was largely based on a Danish study by Anders Peter Hviid, which did not account for the fact that American children have a much higher mercury burden than children in Denmark.
“At the high levels (of thimerosal exposure), it is undeniable there is a causal relationship, and we have gone to high levels. Their studies, therefore are not relevant, I am not saying they are wrong, although there are many criticisms of it. It is just not relative to the US situation,” said Geier.
Geier’s study concludes that there is an increase of neurodevelopment disorders following the use of thimerosal containing vaccines.
Dr. Rashid Buttar, who has pioneered a new treatment for autistic children that removes mercury from their bodies, said the Institute of Medicine’s conclusion that mercury does not cause autism demonstrates the “complete absence of any desire to discover scientific truth at the supposed highest levels of medical academia.”
“When 31 children recover from a devastating disease by a simple transdermal treatment that detoxifies metals, then common sense dictates that perhaps metals are involved,” states Dr. Bob Nash the chairman of the American Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology (ABCMT) in regard to Dr. Buttar’s treatment.
“In 1977, a Russian study found that adults exposed to ethylmercury, the form of mercury in thimerosal, suffered brain damage years later. Studies on thimerosal poisoning also describe tubular necrosis and nervous system injury, including obtundation, coma and death. As a result of these findings, Russia banned thimerosal from children’s vaccines in 1980. Denmark, Austria, Japan, Great Britain and all the Scandinavian countries have also banned the preservative,” writes Dawn Prate.
Mercury is classified by The Department of Defense as a hazardous material that could cause death if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin, and the EPA is now limiting mercury emissions from factories because the toxin “can damage the brain and nervous system and is especially dangerous to fetuses and small children,” but according to the CDC it’s perfectly safe to inject into your child’s bloodstream.
Despite concerns about thimerosal and mercury, which have led to the preservative being reduced or removed from a large portion of vaccines over the last five years, thimerosal will be an ingredient of the swine flu vaccine which is set to arrive in the U.S. this September.
“Some of the vaccine will be stored in multi-dose vials containing thimerosal, an antibacterial additive that contains mercury,” reports the Washington Post today in an article about which groups will receive the swine flu vaccine first.
“There will also be single-dose syringes without thimerosal, a substance that some assert is harmful to children,” adds the article, without mentioning whether or not people who take the vaccine will get a choice or even be informed if it contains mercury.
Around 12,000 U.S. children will be used as guinea pigs for the experimental swine flu vaccine also known to contain the dangerous ingredient squalene, which has been directly linked with cases of Gulf War Syndrome and a host of other debilitating diseases.
Squalene “contributed to the cascade of reactions called “Gulf War syndrome. (GIs developed) arthritis, fibromyalgia, lymphadenopathy, rashes, photosensitive rashes, malar rashes, chronic fatigue, chronic headaches, abnormal body hair loss, non-healing skin lesions, aphthous ulcers, dizziness, weakness, memory loss, seizures, mood changes, neuropsychiatric problems, anti-thyroid effects, anaemia, elevated ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Raynaud’s phenomenon, Sjorgren’s syndrome, chronic diarrhea, night sweats and low-grade fever,” according to Micropaleontologist Dr. Viera Scheibner.
Pharmaceutical companies can be assured that they won’t face reprisals for the many thousands of injuries and deaths that will inevitably occur as a result of exposing millions to mercury and squalene during a mass vaccination program, because the government has already acted to provide them with blanket immunity from lawsuits.
“Vaccine makers and federal officials will be immune from lawsuits that result from any new swine flu vaccine, under a document signed by Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius,” reported the Associated Press earlier this month.
In a lame attempt to save his hide and stay out of prison for allegedly threatening to kill federal judges, the racist talk show host Hal Turner has admitted in court that he is an FBI informant, the Chicago Breaking News Center reports today.

Alex Jones and others have argued for some time that the white supremacist from North Bergen, New Jersey, is an FBI informant.
Assistant U.S. Atty. William Hogan tried to dismiss Turner’s admission. “Hogan said Turner may have had some contact with the FBI as an informant but that it was quite some time ago,” reports Jeff Coen. Recent evidence, however, reveals that Turner has continued his relationship with the feds.
Documentation emerged in 2008 exposing Turner as an FBI operative. “Hal Turner, rising in fame as the most blatant hate talk radio host, self-proclaimed neo-nazi, antisemite, racist who hinted at the need to eradicate Jews — turns out to have been fronting a typical FBI COINTELPRO sting operation,” writes Richard Evans. Hackers managed to gain access to his forum server and revealed correspondence with an FBI agent who was apparently Turner’s handler.
As documented by Brian Glick and others, under COINTELPRO, the FBI subsidized, armed, directed and protected the Klu Klux Klan and other racist groups, including the “Secret Army Organization” of California.
The FBI is notorious for unleashing informants and provocateurs. In 2008, it was discovered that informants working for the FBI were at the center of a supposed terror plot aimed at the Fort Dix Army base in New Jersey. One of the of the informants received nearly $240,000 in taxpayer money for his role in the operation.
In 2007, the FBI was caught manipulating seven impoverished residents of Liberty City, Florida, attempting to get them to blow up the Sears tower in Chicago. As it turns out, the supposed terror plot and the principal source of resources for the group came in the form of an FBI informant posing as an “Al Qaeda representative.” The two informants — Abbas al-Saidi and Elie Assad — earned over $130,000 for their services to the FBI.
Earlier this year, the FBI lured a gang of pathetic would-be terrorists in New York with “piles of cash and gifts and even bags of weed,” according to the New York Post. The men were later charged with plotting to blow up synagogues and military jets.
Other incidents of FBI agents provocateurs attempting to get people to engage in violent and illegal acts are legendary. The McDavid case, for instance, received attention in 2006. “In January 2006, Eric McDavid, Lauren Weiner, and Zachary Jenson were arrested in California and charged with knowingly conspiring to use fire or explosives to damage property,” writes Jennifer Van Bergen for Raw Story. It was later revealed that a paid FBI confidential informant named “Anna” had not only infiltrated peace and justice rallies and anarchist meetings, but had acted as a provocateur in the McDavid case. “McDavid’s attorney, Mark Reichel, states that Anna was always pushing McDavid to do something criminal, taught the three how to make the bombs, supervised their activities, and repeatedly threatened to leave them if they didn’t start doing ’something,’” Van Bergen writes.
Considering this blatant history of FBI provocation, it is entirely possible that Hal Turner was encouraged by the agency to issue threats against federal judges. Turner was arrested on June 3, 2009, for issuing threats against two politicians in Connecticut and a state ethics official. He was re-arrested on June 24 and charged with issuing threats against judges of the United States Court of Appeals in Chicago.
It is no mistake the federal authorities arrested Turner at approximately the same time the Department of Homeland Security was coming under fire for its now infamous “rightwing extremism” report that specifically warns about violence on the part of white supremacists who are conveniently connected by the government to returning veterans, defenders of the Second Amendment, pro-life activists, and patriot groups.
It is common knowledge the FBI collaborated with Morris Dees’ Southern Poverty Law Center in a joint effort to create violent white supremacist groups where none existed before. A declassified FBI memo reveals that the SPLC had informants at Elohim City on the eve of the Oklahoma City bombing. “If I told you what we were doing there, I would have to kill you,” Dees said during a press conference.
Hal Turner, by his own courtroom admission, is a classic government patsy burned by the people he attempted to collaborate with. He will likely have a lot of time to think about the stupidity of his actions in federal prison.
As the establishment intensifies its efforts to demonize its political adversaries as extremists and terrorists, an George Soros-funded left-wing website with direct ties to the Obama White House has parroted the months-old debunked smear that Pittsburgh cop killer Richard Poplawski was an Alex Jones fan.
Think Progress claims that it is a “nonpartisan organization,” and yet it’s bankrolled by the Center for American Progress Action Fund, a think tank headed by Bill Clinton’s former chief of staff John D. Podesta (pictured top), who was also head of Barack Obama’s presidential transition team after the 2008 election.
According to SourceWatch, “CAP’s Progressive Media project emerged as a major communications war room on behalf of Obama’s domestic and foreign policy agenda and CAP became a strong advocate for escalation in Afghanistan. Progressive Media is run through the Center for American Project Action Fund, the more political 501(c)4 arm of CAP. It coordindates closely with the Common Purpose Project, an effort to create message discipline among the pro-Obama organizations, with a direct tie to the White House.”
Think Progress was vehemently anti-war during the Bush administration, but since Obama took power, bombing brown people in broken-backed third world countries has apparently become a “progressive” and “liberal” virtue.
According to Center for American Progress director Jennifer Palmieri, the organization is focused around “driving the White House’s message and agenda.”
How on earth can “driving the White House’s message and agenda” be deemed “non-partisan”?
Think Progress is nothing more than an echo chamber for Obama administration propaganda – it’s the Free Republic of the left-wing. It’s about as “non-partisan” as the Communist Party propaganda organ Pravda was during the Cold War.
Though the Center for American Progress is shy about revealing its funders, according to SourceWatch, no less than 58 foundations have donated over $15 million dollars since 2003, as well as corporations and elitist philanthropists such as George Soros, who donated $3 million for “general support” in 2006.
The editors of Think Progress are apparently lagging far behind in their understanding of public opinion, seemingly unaware of that fact that polls taken over 3 years ago show that an overwhelming majority of Americans have doubts about the official story behind 9/11.
The article also calls Jones’ claim that White House science czar John P. Holdren advocated putting sterilants in the water supply a “conspiracy theory,” despite the fact that it is clearly documented in his own 1977 book Ecoscience, excerpts of which have been posted on the Internet.
However, Think Progress’ most egregious smear appears in the last paragraph of the article.
“Despite his outlandish views, Jones’ influence can not be underestimated. Richard Poplawski, the young man who gunned down three Pittsburgh police officers earlier this year after professing a fear that the government would confiscate his guns, was a die-hard fan of Jones. Jones, who rants daily about Obama’s intentions to revoke the 2nd amendment, is also one of the loudest voices for the “birther movement.”
As we repeatedly documented over the course of several weeks, the claim that Poplawski was a Jones fan is completely at odds with the fact that he left comments on the Infowars and Prison Planet website vehemently chastising Jones for not sharing his anti-semitic beliefs.
Indeed, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, which Think Progress links to in the article, reported that Poplawski appeared “to agree with another poster who criticized Alex Jones.”
Websites that originally picked up the hoax that Poplawski was a Jones fan, when in fact he was attacking Jones through his comments on the websites, were later forced to issue retractions. Raw Story issued a retraction and removed Jones from their original article and Daily Kos later did the same. Despite this, the New York Times still ran with the debunked smear a day later.
“Based on a correction/retraction on RawStory, I have reason to doubt the information reported by the ADL with respect to Alex Jones and Infowars or PrisonPlanet. In fact, evidence points to the contrary; that Alex Jones has spoken strongly against hate speech similar to that spoken by Richard Poplawski. Therefore, in fairness, I’ve removed any references in this diary with respect to Alex Jones and the websites Infowars or PrisonPlanet,” wrote Daily Kos diarist ‘fcvaguy’.
Why is Think Progress repeating a hoax smear that was debunked and retracted by other websites over four months ago? How could Poplawski have been a “die-hard fan” of Jones when he publicly chastised him?
In addition, the claim that Jones is “one of the loudest voices for the birther movement,” is also a complete fallacy as any regular listener will be able to attest to. Though Jones has recently stated there may be some merit to claims that Obama was not born in the U.S., to translate this into him being “one of the loudest voices” advocating this position is clearly disingenuous. Indeed, when questions about Obama’s birthright first began to surface before the election last year, Jones publicly stated that he thought the subject was at best a distraction and probably erroneous.
Think Progress’ attempts at character assassination and guilt by association are clearly part of an agenda to demonize both Jones and Gohmert because they disagree with their political viewpoints on the health care bill. However, by using fallacious smear attacks and erroneous claims as the foundation of their rebuttal, Think Progress only shoots itself in the foot, exposing this Soros-funded organization for what it is – a partisan, bias agenda-driven propaganda front for the White House.
On Monday, the feds swooped down on an alleged terror group plotting murder and mayhem in North Carolina. A federal indictment against the gang claims Raleigh a drywall contractor Daniel Patrick Boyd and associates sought to wage “violent jihad” abroad and engaged in “military-style training at home,” according to the Associated Press. Specific details are not provided by the government.
It is said Boyd — a poster child for “white al-Qaeda” if there ever was one — trained at a terrorist camp in Afghanistan in the late 1980s and fought against the Soviet occupation of that country. Boyd was associated with Hezb-e-Islami, or Party of Islam.
Red flags should go up on this one. Hizb-e-Islami was led and founded by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, who was carefully selected by the Pakistani ISI and the CIA to wage jihad against the Soviets. Hekmatyar, a drug dealer with little support in Afghanistan, was a favored son of the CIA and the ISI. The U.S. worked with Hekmatyar over a ten year period and over half of all U.S. aid to the mujaheddin went to his faction (see Alfred W. McCoy, The Politics of Heroin: CIA Complicity in the Global Drug Trade, pp. 475 and Robert Dreyfuss, Devil’s Game: How the United States Helped Unleash Fundamentalist Islam, pp. 260-263).
CIA Director William Casey liked Hekmatyar because they shared a goal of extending the fighting beyond Afghanistan into the Soviet Union, according to Dreyfuss. In 1984 Hekmatyar developed a close relationship with another CIA-ISI operative, Osama bin Laden, who at the time ran Maktab al-Khidamat (MAK), a front organization that funneled money and arms to the mujahideen. “MAK [is] nurtured by Pakistan’s state security services, the Inter-Services Intelligence agency, or ISI, the CIA’s primary conduit for conducting the covert war against Moscow’s occupation,” MSNBC reported in August of 1998, before everything changed. MAK was also known as al-Kifah and its branch in New York was called the al-Kifah Refugee Center. This branch played a pivotal role in the 1993 WTC bombing and also had CIA ties (see the History Commons profile on Gulbuddin Hekmatyar).
Another individual named in the indictment is Hysen Sherifi. “In July 2008, Sherifi left for Kosovo to engage in violent jihad, but it’s unclear if he did any actual fighting. He returned to North Carolina in April 2009 to solicit funds and warriors to support the mujahedeen, but again the indictment did not give details,” the AP reports.
Following the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, the CIA-ISI contrivance al-Qaeda was inserted in Kosovo to help ethnic Albanian extremists of the KLA mount their terrorist campaign against Serb targets in the region. “The United States, which had originally trained the Afghan Arabs during the war in Afghanistan, supported them in Bosnia and then in Kosovo. When NATO forces launched their military campaign against Yugoslavia [in March, 1999] to unseat [Slobodan] Milosevic, they entered the Kosovo conflict on the side of the KLA [Kosovo Liberation Army], which had already received ’substantial’ military and financial support from bin Laden’s network, analysts say,” Isabel Vincent wrote for the National Post (see my From Afghanistan to Iraq: Transplanting CIA Engineered Terrorism, January 15, 2005).
But don’t take my word for it. Read the 1997 Congressional RPC report detailing the “Bosnian pattern” that was replicated in Kosovo. “With the complicity of NATO and the US State Department. Mujahideen mercenaries from the Middle East and Central Asia were recruited to fight in the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in 1998-99, largely supporting NATO’s war effort,” Michel Chossudovsky wrote in October, 2001. The KLA was armed and trained by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency and Britain’s Secret Intelligence Services MI6, together with “former and serving members of 22 SAS [Britain's 22nd Special Air Services Regiment], as well as three British and American private security companies,” according to The Scotsman, 29 August 1999 (see previous link).
In short, Hysen Sherifi and Daniel Patrick Boyd are intelligence operatives or more likely patsies. As Webster Griffin Tarpley has documented, patsies, dupes, useful idiots and fanatics are integral to any false flag terror operation.
The North Carolina arrests are of particular interest now that FEMA is conducting NLE 09. “The NLE 09 scenario will begin in the aftermath of a notional terrorist event outside of the United States, and exercise play will center on preventing subsequent efforts by the terrorists to enter the United States and carry out additional attacks. This scenario enables participating senior officials to focus on issues related to preventing terrorist events domestically and protecting U.S. critical infrastructure,” a FEMA press release explains.
The NLE 09 is considered “an important component of national preparedness, helping to build an integrated federal, state, tribal, local and private sector capability to prevent terrorist attacks, and rapidly and effectively respond to, and recover from, any terrorist attack or major disaster that occurs.”
The feds claim they have prevented a terrorist attack in North Carolina. This is a well orchestrated propaganda effort timed to coincide with NLE 09. It is particularly important to note this in the wake of the manufactured deluge of propaganda and federal and state reports portraying “rightwing” domestic terrorists as a threat to the homeland.
A particular egregious instance of this propaganda was released in June when the Washington Times — the cornerstone of Operation Mockingbird — reported counterterrorism officials “authenticated” a video by a supposed al-Qaeda recruiter who claimed he had the ability to smuggle a biological weapon into the United States via tunnels under the Mexico border. In the video, Abdullah al-Nafisi suggested that al-Qaeda might want to collaborate with “members of native U.S. white supremacist militias who hate the federal government.”
During a discussion of the Obama birth certificate controversy, MSNBC host Chris Matthews and his guests implied that anyone who questions the official 9/11 story, thinks the Bilderberg group are exercising power to create a world government, people who are worried about gun control and immigration, or even people who are merely skeptical of government, are psychologically insane.
Responding to Matthews’ implication that people who had questions about Obama’s birthplace were “full mooners” and insane, MSNBC political analyst Howard Fineman included “people who are worried about the government taking up the guns, people who deny the federal government has a right to tax your income, people who are worried about being overrun at the borders,” in the same category and said they were merely looking for a reason to find a conspiracy behind Obama.
Matthews then brought up a psychological test which featured the question, “Is somebody chasing you right now?,” implying that anyone who doubts what the government tells them would answer in the affirmative, before asking, “Are we talking psychological problems here with people or what?”
Politico writer Ken Vogel then characterized people who question 9/11 and people who think Bilderberg are working towards a world government as a group that Republicans need to “watch out for” if they want to avoid being marginalized.
Matthews then said he was “in love” with Vogel because he had reminded him of “all the androgynous zones of insanity,” before cracking a lame joke about George W. Bush detonating the twin towers with a plunger.
Vogel then responded by including Ron Paul and supporters in the mix, noting that they embrace an “innate distrust of federal government,” again in the same context that to do so is a display of insanity.
Essentially, Matthews and his guests are implying that anyone who doubts the government’s official 9/11 story, anyone who believes the Bilderberg group have influence or power, anyone concerned about gun control and open borders, and anyone who is just generally skeptical or doesn’t trust government, is on the fringes of society, is potentially psychologically insane and may need treatment.
This is of course manifestly absurd – if embracing any one of those concerns deems one to be psychologically unstable and on the “fringes” then the majority of the American people would be classified as psychologically insane.
Indeed, only yesterday Rep. Collin Peterson, a Democrat, told Politico, “Twenty-five percent of my people believe the Pentagon and Rumsfeld were responsible for taking the twin towers down.”
In addition, a 2006 Zogby poll revealed that “less than half of the American public trusts the official 9/11 story or believes the attacks were adequately investigated.”
Does more than half of the population of America constitute a “fringe” element? It seems that Matthews, Vogel and Fineman aren’t as “mainstream” as they apparently thought they were – they are in fact the minority.
In reality, it is Matthews and his fellow establishment peanut gallery talking heads that need psychological help, embracing as they do some bizarre cult-like faith that government is angelic and can be completely trusted without skepticism.
As we have seen before in history, the designation of political opinions deemed to be antagonistic towards or even merely skeptical of the state is a hallmark of tyranny.

In the former Soviet Union, psikhushkas — mental hospitals — were used by the state as prisons in order to isolate political prisoners, discredit their ideas, and break them physically and mentally. The Soviet state began using mental hospitals to punish dissidents in 1939 under Stalin. The Psychiatric Prison Hospital in the city of Kazan was transferred to NKVD (the secret police organization for the People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs) control and in 1969 Yuri Andropov, the head of KGB, submitted to the Central Committee of Communist Party of the Soviet Union a plan for creating a network of psikhushkas.
According to official Soviet psychiatry and the Moscow Serbsky Institute at the time, “ideas about a struggle for truth and justice are formed by personalities with a paranoid structure.” Treatment for this special political schizophrenia included various forms of restraint, electric shocks, electromagnetic torture, radiation torture, lumbar punctures, various drugs — such as narcotics, tranquilizers, and insulin — and beatings. Anne Applebaum, author of Gulag: A History, indicates that at least 365 sane people were treated for “politically defined madness,” although she surmises there were many more.
It now appears that the corporate media are taking their cue from the Stalinist dictatorship of the Soviet Union, and in alliance with government guidelines which characterize people with similar political beliefs as dangerous extremists and potential terrorists, are denouncing people who are skeptical of government as thought criminals who should be dismissed as mentally ill cranks.

A swine flu outbreak occurred in Mexico and the United States in April 2009 and spread rapidly around the world by human-to human transmission. The new type A H1N1 influenza virus is unlike any that had been previously isolated [1, 2], judging from the first data released in May. It is a messy combination of sequences from bird, human and swine flu virus lineages from North America and Eurasia. A senior virologist based in Canberra, Australia, told the press he thought that the virus could have been created in the laboratory and released by accident [3]. Some even suggest it was made intentionally as a bioweapon [4], while others blame the intensive livestock industry and extensive trafficking of love animals over long distances, which provide plenty of opportunity for generating exotic recombinants [5]. But what worries the public most is the mass vaccination programmes governments are putting in place to combat the emerging pandemic, which could well be worse than the pandemic itself.
Watchdog opposes fast-track vaccine for school children
The US government is intending to vaccinate all children in September when school re-opens, and the country’s vaccine watchdog National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) has called on the Obama Administration and all state Governors to provide evidence that the move is [6] “necessary and safe”, demanding “strong mechanisms for vaccine safety screening, recording, monitoring, reporting and vaccine injury compensation.”
The US Departments of Health and Homeland Security had declared a national public health emergency in April soon after the swine flu outbreak. As a result, some schools were closed, people quarantined, and drug companies were given contracts worth $7billon to make vaccines that are being fast tracked by the Food and Drugs Administration [7]. That means they will only be tested for a few weeks on several hundred children and adult volunteers before being given to all school children this fall.
Furthermore, under federal legislation passed by Congress since 2001, an Emergency Use Authorization allows drug companies, health officials and anyone administering experimental vaccines to Americans during a declared public health emergency to be protected from liability if people get injured. US Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius has granted vaccine makers total legal immunity from any lawsuits that may result from any new swine flu vaccine. And some states may make the vaccination mandatory by law.
The NVIC is asking whether the states are prepared to obey vaccine safety provisions in the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act,which include: 1. Giving parents written information about vaccine benefits and risks before children are vaccinated; 2. Keeping a record of which vaccines the children get, including the manufacturer’s name and lot number; 3. Recording which vaccines were given in the child’s medical record; and 4. Recording serious health problems that develop after vaccination in the child’s medical record and immediately making a report to the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System.
NVIC also wants to know if the states are prepared to provide financial compensation to children injured by the swine flu vaccines, whether parents will be given “complete, truthful information about swine flu vaccine risks”, and have the right to say “no” to vaccination.
Co-founder and president of NVIC Barbara Loe Fisher said [6]: “Parents and legislators should be asking themselves right now: Why are children the first to get experimental swine flu vaccines? Are schools equipped to get signed informed consent from parents before vaccination, keep accurate vaccination records and screen out children biologically at high risk for suffering vaccine reactions? Will people giving these vaccines know how to monitor children afterwards and immediately record, report and treat serious health problems that develop? And will states have the financial resources to compensate children who are injured?”
WHO and mass vaccination fever
The mass vaccination order has come from the World Health Organization (WHO) [8]. In early July 2009, a group of vaccination experts concluded that the pandemic is unstoppable, and Marie-Paul Kieny, WHO director on vaccine research said all nations will need access to vaccines, and that a vaccine should be available as early as September.
Critics point out that the ‘vaccination experts’ are dominated by the vaccine makers standing to gain from the enormously lucrative vaccine and antiviral contracts awarded by governments. But the decisive argument against mass vaccinations is that flu shots simply don’t work and are dangerous [9].
Flu shots ineffective and increase risks of asthma
There are widely acknowledged reasons why flu vaccines won’t work, as already pointed out with regard to the much touted vaccines against the ‘pandemic bird flu’ that has yet to materialize [10] (How to Stop Bird Flu Instead, SiS 35). The flu virus changes quickly - even without the help of genetic engineering in the laboratory, and especially with the help of the intensive livestock industry - whereas the vaccines target specific strains. Furthermore, flu vaccination does not give permanent protection, and must be repeated annually; the vaccines are difficult to mass-produce, and some strains won’t grow at all under laboratory conditions.
Numerous studies have documented that flu shots give little or no protection against infection and illness, and there is no reason to believe that swine flu vaccines will be different.
A review of 51 separate studies in 2006 concluded that flu vaccines worked no better than a placebo in 260 000 children ranging in age from six months to 23 months [11]. A report published in 2008 found flu vaccines in young children made no difference in the number of flu-related doctor and hospital visits [12].
On the other hand, a study of 800 children with asthma found that those receiving a flu vaccine had a significantly increased risk of asthma-related doctor and emergency room visits[13]; the odds ratios were 3.4 and 1.9 respectively. This was confirmed in a report published in 2009, which showed children with asthma who received FluMist had a 3-fold increased risk of hospitalization[14]
Vaccines themselves can be dangerous, especially live, attenuated viral vaccines or the new recombinant nucleic acid vaccines [10], they have the potential to generate virulent viruses by recombination and the recombinant nucleic acids could cause autoimmune diseases.
A further major source of toxicity in the case of the flu vaccines are the adjuvants, substances added in order to boost the immunogenicity of the vaccines. There is a large literature on the toxicities of adjuvants. Most flu vaccines contain dangerous levels of mercury in the form of thimerosal, a deadly preservative 50 times more toxic than mercury itself [9]. At high enough doses, it can cause long-term immune, sensory, neurological, motor, and behavioural dysfunctions. Also associated with mercury poisoning are autism, attention deficit disorder, multiple sclerosis, and speech and language deficiencies. The Institute of Medicine has warned that infants, children, and pregnant women should not be injected with thimerosal, yet the majority of flu shots contain 25 micrograms of it.
Another common adjuvant is alum or aluminium hydroxide, which can cause vaccine allergy, anaphylaxis, and macrophage myofascitis, a chronic inflammation syndrome, In cats, alum also gives rise to fibrosarcomas at the site of injection [15]. Numerous new adjuvants are no better, and could be worse. According to a recent review in a science and business pharmaceutical publication [15], most newer adjuvants including MF59, ISCOMS, QS21, AS02, and AS04 have “substantially higher local reactogenicity and systemic toxicity than alum.”
Current status of swine flu vaccines
Five different companies have been contracted to produce vaccines worldwide: Baxter International, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis and Sanofi-Aventis and AstroZeneca [16]. Already stretched beyond capacity, there is every intention to make smaller vaccine doses go further with a range of new adjuvants [17], with the blessing of the WHO (see later).
Flu vaccines are traditionally produced from non-virulent (attenuated or weakened) influenza viruses (see Box for a description of the viruses). To be effective, the genes of the non- virulent virus used must match those of the viral strain spreading in the population. Activation of the immune system by exposure to the non pathogenic form of the circulating pathogenic strain leads to the production of antibodies that will confer protection against the pathogenic strain. Producing the non-virulent virus involves first identifying and then recreating the subtypes of two of the virus’s surface proteins, haemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N), which determine the strain’s virulence and ability to spread, and are also the target proteins for vaccine production.
Influenza viruses
There are 3 types of influenza viruses, A, B and C. The influenza A type virus is the main one that cause diseases in birds and mammals. Its genome consists of 8 segments of RNA coding for 11 proteins, and the viruses are further classified by subtype on the basis of the two main surface glycoproteins (proteins with complex carbohydrate side chains): haemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N) [18]. The segmented genome enables the virus to’ reassort’ (shuffle) segments as well as recombine within segments, thereby greatly increasing the rate of evolution and generation of new strains. Reassortment is also widely exploited in the laboratory in the process of creating vaccine strains. To-date, 16 H and 9 N subtypes have been detected in numerous combinations circulating in wild birds [19].
Seed viruses are first made to provide the starting material for large scale production of live non-virulent flu viruses. The seed viruses are approved by the WHO or the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA). The usual method of seed virus production is reassortment (see Box). Fertilized chicken eggs are injected with both a standard non-pathogenic influenza strain known to grow well in eggs and the strain that carries the genes expressing the desired vaccine H and N protein subtypes. The two viruses multiply, and their eight genome segments reassort with 256 possible combinations. The resulting recombinant viruses are then screened for the desired virus with the six genome segments that allow the standard strain to grow so well in eggs and the H and N genes from the circulating strain. The seed virus is then injected into millions of eggs for mass production of vaccine. This conventional method of seed stock production takes about one to two months to complete [20].
Cell culture systems may eventually replace chicken eggs. Baxter International applied for a patent on a process using cell culture to produce quantities of infecting virus, which are harvested, inactivated with formaldehyde and ultraviolet light, and then detergent [21]. Baxter has produced H5N1 whole virus vaccines in a Vero cell line derived from the kidney of an African green monkey, and conducted phase 1 and 2 clinical trials with and without aluminium hydroxide as adjuvant [22, 23]. The main finding was that the toxic adjuvant did not increase neutralising antibodies against the vaccine strain. Baxter has agreed to ship H1N1 vaccine by the end of July or early August 2009 but details of the production of that vaccine have not yet been released to the public [16].
In December, a Baxter facility in Austria sent a human flu vaccine contaminated with the deadly H5N1 live avian flu virus to 18 countries, including the Czech Republic, where testing showed it killed the ferrets inoculated [24]. Czech newspapers questioned whether Baxter was involved in a deliberate attempt to start a pandemic.
Norvatis, another big pharma, announced on 13 June that it, too, has produced a swine flu vaccine using cell-based technology and the proprietary adjuvant MF59®. The MF59® adjuvant is oil based and contains Tween80, Span85, and squalene [25]. In studies of oil-based adjuvants in rats, the animals were rendered crippled and paralyzed. Squalene brought on severe arthritis symptoms in rats, and studies in humans given from 10 to 20 ppb (parts per billion) of squalene showed severe immune system impact and development of autoimmune disorders[26].
Novartis was in the news in 2008 for a clinical trial of a H5N1 vaccine in Poland. The trial was administered by local nurses and doctors who gave the vaccine to 350 homeless people, leaving 21 died; and were prosecuted by the Polish police [27, 28]. Novartis claimed the deaths were unrelated to the H5N1 vaccine [29], which had been “tested on 3500 other people without any deaths.”
GlaxoSmithKline’s vaccine will be made up of antigens of the recently isolated influenza strain, and also contains its own proprietary adjuvant system AS03 that has been approved in the EU along with its H5N1 bird flu vaccine in 2008. According to the European Public Assessment Report [30], AS03 adjuvant is composed of squalene (10.68 milligrams), DL-α-tocopherol (11.86 milligrams) and polysorbate 80 (4.85 milligrams). The H5N1 vaccine also contains 5 micrograms thiomersal, as well as Polysorbate 80, Octoxynol 10, and various inorganic salts. The company is aggressively promoting various adjuvant systems as its ‘adjuvant advantage’ that reduces the dose of vaccines [31].
A recent WHO survey of primary vaccine producers concluded that the potential output of 4.9 Billion doses of H1N1 vaccine per year is a best-case scenario, assuming among other factors that the most dose-sparing formulation (that will include toxic adjuvants) be selected by each manufacturer and that production will take place at full capacity. WHO Director-General, Dr .Margaret Chan, and the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr Ban Ki-moon, met with senior officials of vaccine manufacturers on 19 May and asked them to reserve part of their production capacity for poor countries that would otherwise have no or little access to vaccine in the case of a pandemic [32].
The last mass-vaccination in the US was a disaster. In 1976, cases of swine flu were found in soldiers at Fort Dix, New Jersey, and one of them died, most likely of physical overexertion rather than from the infection [7]. This led to the launch of a mass vaccination of 40 million against a pandemic that never materialized. Thousands filed claims for injury. At least 25 died and 500 developed paralyzing Guillain-Barre syndrome [33, 34].
Swine flu syndromes mostly mild
As of 22 July 2009, the CDC listed a total of 40 617 cases in the US, with 319 fatalities, giving a fatalites/case ratio of 0.8 percent [35]; though the real death rate – among all cases of infection including the mild ones that go unreported – is probably much lower. Experts estimate that only 1 out of 20 cases are reported [36].
The UK is the worst affected European country, and the pandemic is in the headlines everyday in July. A new telephone helpline was set up on 23 July to let people get advice and tamiflu without seeing a doctor. In that week, there has been a record rise in cases to 100 000 and a total of 30 deaths so far [37], giving a fatalities/case ratio of 0.03 percent, a more accurate reflection of the actual death rate.
UK’s chief medical officer Sir Liam Donaldson has ordered the NHS to plan for as many as 65 000 deaths, with 350 a day at the peak [38]. There has been no plan as yet for mass vaccination; but the UK government has advance orders for 195 million doses of vaccine with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
The vaccine that GSK is developing will be tested on a limited number of people as the UK drug company reportedly [39] “weighs the pandemic danger against the risks of an unsafe shot.” This was criticized as “risky” by Prof. Hugh Pennington, a retired microbiologist at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. “By limiting clinical trials, Glaxo raises the danger that the vaccine dose isn’t properly calibrated, and could lead to shots that don’t protect people from the virus or at worse are unsafe,” Pennington said.
Pennington added that the shot’s ability to trigger the body’s defences is crucial and requires tests to determine the best dose and whether an adjuvant is needed to bolster the immunity. (As we know, GSK is definitely promoting its new range of toxic adjuvants.) He also referred to the Fort Dix incident in 1976 (see earlier).
France has ordered vaccines from Sanofi, GSK and Novartis, but sees no reason to ask vaccine makers to shorten or skip clinical trials [16]. Sanofi-Aventis, the French drug maker developing its own swine flu vaccine will begin testing the product in early August, and estimates it will need as much as two and a half months of tests before having a shot that’s “both safe and protective”, according to Albert Garcia, speaking for the company’s vaccine unit, “the vaccine will be ready in November or December, he said.
Baxter, however, will produce a vaccine by early August for clinical tests.
Glaxo also said it is developing a face mask coated with antivirals to prevent infection and boosting production of its Relenza drug for patients already suffering from swine flu.
There are obviously safer and more effective ways to combat the pandemic than mass vaccinations: washing hands often, sneezing into a tissue that can be safely disposed of, avoiding unnecessary gatherings, and delay opening schools – all advised by governments - and we would add, eating healthily, exercise, and getting enough vitamin D to boost your natural immunity [10].

Earlier this week, the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Craig Fugate met with several state governors to discuss “emergency preparedness,” according to a press release posted on FEMA’s website. “FEMA is committed to protecting and assisting our states and citizens during disasters,” said Fugate. “By working together and strengthening relationships at the state level, we can continue to build the national emergency response team which includes FEMA, as well as state, local, tribal and federal partners, the private sector and faith-based organizations. The work we are putting in now to build this team will go a long way during the next disaster.”
Preparations are now underway for FEMA’s NLE 09.
On Sunday, Fugate addressed governors from around the country at the National Governors Association conference in Biloxi, Mississippi, where he “discussed how FEMA can best support the states and their citizens as we prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters.”
FEMA does not specifically detail the “next disaster,” although Fugate had participated “in a video teleconference with governors and officials from over a dozen hurricane prone states on his first day as Administrator.”
Last October, investigative journalist Wayne Madsen learned from knowledgeable FEMA sources that the Bush administration had put the final touches on a plan that would see martial law declared in the United States with various scenarios anticipated as triggers. “The triggers include a continuing economic collapse with massive social unrest, bank closures resulting in violence against financial institutions, and another fraudulent presidential election that would result in rioting in major cities and campuses around the country,” explained Madsen.
An additional trigger has since emerged – a mass flu pandemic the government promises will occur this autumn.
In addition, Army Corps of Engineer sources told the journalist that the assignment of the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team (BCT) to the Northern Command’s U.S. Army North will augment FEMA and federal law enforcement in the imposition of traffic controls, crowd control, curfews, enhanced border and port security, and neighborhood patrols in the event a national emergency being declared. The BCT was assigned to duties in Iraq before being assigned to the Northern Command.
On July 3, Infowars reported on National Guard troops training to engage in combat with “militia” groups. In the exercises, held in Missouri and South Dakota, eight members of a Jefferson City-based battalion acted as a “fictitious militant group” and attacked military checkpoints and convoys.
On September 30, the Army Times reported that the BCT would be deployed in the United States under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks. The BCT mission “marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities,” Gina Cavallaro wrote for the Times. The military is prohibited under the Posse Comitatus Act from working with local law enforcement.
Madsen reported on a highly-classified document regarding the martial law scenario on April 3, 2008. “WMR has learned from knowledgeable sources within the US financial community that an alarming confidential and limited distribution document is circulating among senior members of Congress and their senior staff members that is warning of a bleak future for the United States if it does not quickly get its financial house in order. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is among those who have reportedly read the document.”
The document is called “C & R,” short for “conflict” and “revolution.” It reportedly states that if the United States defaults on loans and debt underwriting from China, Japan, and Russia, all of which are propping up the United States government financially, and the United States unilaterally cancels the debts, America can expect a war that will have disastrous results for the United States and the world. “The other scenario is that the federal government will be forced to drastically raise taxes in order to pay off debts to foreign countries to the point that the American people will react with a popular revolution against the government.”
In November of 2008, noted trends forecaster Gerald Celente predicted revolution, food riots and tax rebellions in America by the year 2012. “Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts,” Paul Joseph Watson wrote for Prison Planet. Celente accurately predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union.
More recently, Celente said “The Greatest Depression” will be called “Obamageddon” in America. “The measures taken by successive governments to save the politically corrupt, morally bankrupt, physically decrepit giant from collapse have served to only hasten its demise. While the decline has been decades in the making, the acceleration of ruinous policies under the current Administration is leading the United States – and much of the world – to the point of no return,” Celente wrote on July 1.

On July 27, FEMA will conduct National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09), scheduled to run through July 31. “NLE 09 will be the first major exercise conducted by the United States government that will focus exclusively on terrorism prevention and protection, as opposed to incident response and recovery,” a FEMA factsheet states. It is designated as a Tier I National Level Exercise, or TOPOFF, which are exercises conducted annually in accordance with the National Exercise Program, “which serves as the nation’s overarching exercise program for planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating national level exercises,” according to FEMA.
In addition to the participation of domestic “partners,” the FEMA exercise will include foreign troops. “This year the United States welcomes the participation of Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom in NLE 09.” The FEMA factsheet does not explain why the participation of foreign troops is necessary.
In February, D. H. Williams, reporting for the Daily Newscaster, revealed meetings held between FEMA, the Department of Homeland Security, and Indiana county municipal officials in the vicinity of Chicago. The feds allegedly told the officials that every county in the country would be required to prepare a Hazard Mitigation Plan, including plans to vaccinate the entire population within 48 hours and prepare mass graves. In addition, according to Williams’ source, the county was asked to make plans for “hardening” police and fire stations, putting in hardened bunker type buildings around town, and draft up plans for the possibility of up to 400,000 refugees from Chicago entering the county.
Infowars and Prison Planet have been at the forefront of an effort to document the existence of mass graves, specifically in Phoenix and Houston. In April of this year, The Jones Report detailed the storage of thousands of plastic coffin liners in Alabama.
Finally, it should be noted that FEMA was organized specifically for martial law. On July 5, 1987, the Miami Herald reported on the existence of camps operated by FEMA “should martial law need to be implemented in the United States.” The existence of the camps and Rex 84 — short for Readiness Exercise 1984 — came to light during the Iran-Contra hearings.
“And there you have it,” writes Allen L Roland, “the real purpose of FEMA is to not only protect the government but to be its principal vehicle for martial law…. This is why FEMA could not respond immediately to the Hurricane Katrina disaster — humanitarian efforts were no longer part of its job description under the Department of Homeland Security.”
The FEMA press release states that the feds are conducting a large exercise in order to respond to “emergencies and disasters,” when in fact they are conducting a martial law exercise with not only state, local, and tribal “partners,” but foreign troops as well.
Sir Liam Donaldson, the Chief Medical Officer for England, hit the swine flu panic button last week, warning the outbreak is confronting the NHS with its "biggest challenge in a generation". But that didn't mean everyone caught up in the hysteria that has even seen stoical commuters accessorise their work outfits with face masks was panicking.
For dozens of companies, including giant multinational corporations and tiny internet quacks, the outbreak of swine flu frenzy has turned into a licence to print money. And plenty of it. The disease's explosive global advance has sent everyone from private citizens to national governments on a mass shopping spree to try to buy cures: catching swine flu might be not funny but anyone working for what increasingly looks like Swine Flu Inc is laughing all the way to the bank.
Not least GlaxoSmithKline, the British drugs company producing most of the country's swine flu vaccine. As it moved to become the pharmaceutical group with the broadest range of products to tackle the pandemic, last week unveiling plans to sell masks and diagnostic kits to test for the disease as well as vaccines and antiviral medicines, industry analysts estimated GSK could make up to £1bn from sales of its swine flu vaccine alone. It already has orders for 195 million doses, which may cost £6 a dose in the UK, from 16 governments around the world.
Not that that's any cause for apology, apparently. Andrew Witty, GSK's chief executive, refused to be forced on to the defensive about the company's windfall, despite accusations he was trying to turn the crisis into cash. "We are trying to strike a balance between society and our shareholders, who want to see a return on the risks we take," he said. GSK's investors have already seen a return on sales of Relenza, its antiviral drug: second-quarter results showed quarterly sales had increased twentyfold year-on-year to £60m, with first-half sales hitting £230m.
With up to one in three of the population estimated to be at risk of falling ill – and up to 65,000 of those actually dying – the Government has been left with little choice but to dig deep to try to limit the fallout. The story is being repeated around the world, with the United States last week coughing up a further $1bn (£600m) to buy more vaccines, and France ordering an extra 28 million vaccines from Sanofi-Aventis.
And don't think it is just the Government that is brandishing its chequebook to deal with the pandemic that has turned the UK into a global leper. (Britain has been hit harder by swine flu than any other European country.) Judging from the stripped shelves at pharmacies across the country, pretty much everybody is stocking up on anything flu-related. There have been runs on paper surgical masks, thermometers, cold and flu capsules, anti-bacterial hand sanitisers and even tissues. A checkout assistant at Boots in Kensington High Street yesterday said the store was all out of thermometers. "There's no point ordering any more because the warehouses are empty. The same goes for hand gels. And we're doing a roaring trade in surgical masks," she added.
Superdrug has seen sales of its digital thermometers, at £7.82 each, increase tenfold, while Lloyds Chemist said it is seeing a 700 per cent increase in demand for its thermometers and a 70 per cent jump in sales of its £2 antibacterial hand gel. Manufacturers such as Brannan Thermometers have warned they may run short.
It isn't only chemists that are sitting pretty as the numbers of sufferers soar. Even clothing retailers are muscling in on the swine flu sales boom: a newly replenished tower of tissue boxes promising "antiviral" properties teetered between shoppers waiting to pay for their cardigans at one London Marks & Spencer store yesterday. An M&S employee said the tissue mountain had appeared earlier this week, around the same time that the Government announced the number of confirmed swine flu cases had doubled in the past seven days to 100,000, and that the boxes were "selling well". Never mind that a few sheets of toilet roll would probably do the trick.
Meanwhile, although the NHS had just made the flu-treatment drug Tamiflu widely available with the launch of its National Pandemic Flu Service, panicking Brits were still shelling out on their own personal just-in-case supplies. Online vendors, such as the Online Clinic, are making a killing, despite Tamiflu's £119.99 price tag. Its sales representative, Robert Mackay, said: "It depends on the news that day; if it's about deaths then sales are up." Indeed, demand for Tamiflu on the internet has been so high that it has displaced Viagra as the most spammed drug on the web. Other goodies from opportunistic hawkers include the £63.99 "essential" swine flu kit, which includes overalls, booties and alcohol foam; medichecks.com's £125 blood test; and even the £22 "swine flu survival guide" written by someone claiming to be a former US navy sailor.
Swine flu Inc's net doesn't stop there. Even restaurant chains are enjoying a fillip from the pandemic. Home delivery chains in Mexico saw their sales boom as everyone hid indoors amid a nationwide restaurant shutdown. Closer to home, Domino's Pizza said its sales were likely to rise yet further if more people opted to order in rather than go out to eat.
With the number of confirmed cases still just nudging the tip of the predicted iceberg, perhaps we should be thankful that at least one section of the economy is firmly in the black, recession or no recession.
Statistics: How many people will it kill?
As the diagnosis of swine flu is now being carried out over the phone and against a checklist of symptoms, health officials do not have an exact figure of the number of people who been hit by the H1N1 virus in the UK. It is therefore hard to work out what proportion of people infected with the virus are suffering the most severe reactions. Officials are working on the prediction that one in three of us could have been infected at some stage by the end of the year.
So far in the UK, there have been 30 deaths related to swine flu. Health officials are working on the basis that the virus could kill somewhere between 0.1 to 0.35 per cent of all the people it infects. It is this guide which led chief medical officer Sir Liam Donaldson to tell the NHS to prepare for up to 65,000 swine flu deaths in a worst-case scenario, although lower projections were also released.
In comparison, rough averages show that in Britain:
2-3 people die from lightning strikes each year
4 from an allergic reaction to wasp and bee stings
200 from food poisoning
3,000 in road accidents
6,000-10,000 from seasonal flu – although seasons vary in severity
A city council said Saturday it was considering using underground burial chambers, currently a tourist attraction, to store the corpses of swine flu victims if the pandemic worsens.
Exeter City Council said the empty 19th-century catacombs could become an emergency mortuary.
A council spokesman said the plan could be put into operation if the cemeteries and the crematorium could not keep up with funeral demands.
He said: "We have some empty catacombs in an old cemetery in the city. These are 19th century underground burial chambers which are normally a tourist attraction," he said.
"They can, however, be safely used for their original purpose and allow us to temporarily store bodies in the remote possibility that the need should arise."......
On March 25, Shepard Ambellas, reporting for Infowars, documented preparation of mass graves at the Department of Veterans Affairs Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
A UK Home Office cabinet committee brought up the specter of the Great Plague and burial pits used during the seventeenth century.
Ambellas’s story followed a harrowing report by D. H. Williams of the Daily Newscaster in February. Williams reported on revelations of an Indiana county municipal official in the vicinity of Chicago who detailed FEMA and DHS discussions with county officials about the prospect of mass graves and a mass vaccination program.
On March 28, we reported on a large expansion of graves at the Houston National Cemetery in Texas.
Aaron Dykes, reporting for The Jones Report on April 3, detailed how the State of New York Division of Cemeteries sent out “Mass Fatality forms” to cemeteries in that state to collect data about their ability to deal with the high volume of casualties that would occur if their were a flu pandemic or other disaster. “Should a prolonged mass fatality disaster or pandemic flu occur in your community would your cemetery be able to provide temporary or permanent internment space for a significant number of disaster or flu deaths in additional to your current burial services?” the form stated.
In response to the mass grave stories posted on the Infowars and Prison Planet websites, Larry Scott, a self-described Veterans Administration critic, went on the Thom Hart radio program in late March and characterized the stories as “rumor-mongering.” According to Scott, the expansion of graves around in Phoenix was part of a standard upgrade intended to accommodate a record number of veteran deaths. Larry Scott put the number at an astounding 700,000 per year. Other critics have also characterized the stories as preposterous.
And yet, according to an AFP news item, governments are indeed planning for mass graves in response to a flu pandemic. In Exter, England, the city council recently moved to use underground burial chambers, currently a tourist attraction, to store the corpses of swine flu victims if the pandemic worsens. “A council spokesman said the plan could be put into operation if the cemeteries and the crematorium could not keep up with funeral demands.”
In 2006, the UK Home Office announced plans to use mass graves in the event of a widespread pandemic. “According to a confidential report seen by the Sunday Times, 320,000 people in Great Britain could die as a result of a flu pandemic originating from a mutated H5N1 bird flu virus strain.” A cabinet committee brought up the specter of the Great Plague and burial pits used during the seventeenth century.
Earlier this year, Alan Johnson, the British Health Secretary, unveiled the National Pandemic Flu Framework. “Mass graves, inflatable mortuaries, 24-hour cremations and ‘express’ funerals could all be used, government papers show,” the Telegraph reported. “Some scientists say a flu pandemic is now overdue, either from the mutation of the normal human flu virus, or of the H5N1 strain that infects birds.”
A report issued by the government in Scotland claims a pandemic would force mortuaries, crematoriums and cemeteries “to operate round the clock, with old warehouses, council buildings, refrigerated lorries and specialist inflatable mortuaries being requisitioned to temporarily store the dead,” the Guardian reported on July 22. “With deaths expected to peak sharply within six to seven weeks of an outbreak, crematoriums would in many areas have to operate 24 hours a day, while every town and city would require temporary mortuaries and body storage facilities.”
On July 25, the Los Angeles Times reported the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expects the flu pandemic expected this autumn to kill hundreds of thousands. “The number of potential deaths is much higher than that usually seen in seasonal flu, which kills an estimated 36,000 Americans a year, and is even higher than the nation’s most recent pandemic.” The 1957 pandemic of Asian flu killed 70,000. The 1918 Spanish Flu claimed between 500,000 to 675,000 lives in the United States.
The CDC announced last week that it will no longer keep track of the number of people killed by the virus. “Health officials from the CDC said the virus was too widespread to continue counting,” the Digital Journal reported. “Health experts say millions have likely been infected worldwide.”
The U.S. government has bought 195 million doses of H1N1 swine flu vaccine for a possible autumn vaccination campaign, a U.S. federal official told Reuters on July 23. The U.S. Health and Human Services Department has also contracted for 120 million doses of adjuvant, a compound to stretch the number of doses of vaccine.
In addition, HHS has created a website “to help state and local governments, the medical community and citizens prepare for H1N1 and the fall flu season,” according to America.gov, a site produced by the U.S. Department of State.
As author F. William Engdahl notes, even though the H1N1 virus has killed a relatively small number of people and no “government or private agency in the world has yet to scientifically isolate, to photograph with means of electron microscopy and to list the chemical characteristics of the ‘novel H1N1 Influenza A virus’ as it is now officially called,” this has not stopped WHO from declaring a “Pandemic Alert” Phase 6 alarm. The hyped “pandemic” has prompted the Obama administration and Congress to approve an astounding $7.65 billion for the non-proven pandemic influenza.
On Friday, the World Health Organization said the H1N1 virus and pandemic is “gaining speed” and will likely strike this coming winter.
In response to an outbreak of swine flu in 1976, the U.S. government ordered a mass vaccination program. The experimental and untested vaccine killed dozens and left an undetermined number of people with Guillian-Barre syndrome, a debilitating neurological paralysis. The vaccine killed more people than the virus.
In late April, sources close to investigative journalist Wayne Madsen reported that the outbreak of swine flu was the result of the introduction of a human-engineered pathogen capable of producing a widespread global pandemic. “A top scientist for the United Nations, who has examined the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in Africa, as well as HIV/AIDS victims, concluded that H1N1 possesses certain transmission ‘vectors’ that suggest that the new flu strain has been genetically-manufactured as a military biological warfare weapon,” Madsen reported.
“Our best intelligence estimate is that pandemic Avian Flu has already been created through genetic engineering in the United States, fusing the deadly genome of the 1918 Pandemic, misnamed the ‘Spanish Flu’, with the DNA of the innocuous H5N1 virus in a growth medium of human kidney cells, according to the National Institutes of Health and the vaccine’s manufacturer. Some virologists believe that this would insure that the man-made mutant virus recognizes human cells and knows how to invade them,” writes Rima E. Laibow, MD, head of the Natural Solutions Foundation, a citizen watchdog group monitoring the pharmaceutical industry.
In addition to planning mass graves and crematoriums operating around the clock, governments are planning to implement martial law in response to a pandemic.
In late 2007, the Bush administration issued a “directive” establishing a “National Strategy for Public Health and Medical Preparedness” based on Biodefense for the 21st Century. Prior to this, in May of 2007, the U.S. military had the foresight to “plan for a possible avian flu pandemic that could kill as many as three million people in the United States in as little as six weeks,” according to Yahoo News. Guidelines and “planning assumptions for US military services and combatant commands” were published in a document entitled “Implementation Plan for Pandemic Influenza.”
“Possible scenarios include US troops being called in to put down riots, guard pharmaceutical plants and shipments, and help restrict the movement of people inside the country and across its borders,” Yahoo summarizes. “The plan envisions fast moving, catastrophic waves of disease that would overwhelm health facilities and cripple the ability of state and local authorities to provide even basic commodities or services.”
The “hidden agenda consists in using the threat of a pandemic and/or the plight of a natural disaster as a pretext to establish military rule” and “suspend Constitutional government and allow the Military to intervene in civilian affairs in violation of the Posse Comitatus Act,” author Michel Chossudovsky wrote in 2005.
As Infowars reported last week, on July 27 FEMA will conduct National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09), scheduled to run through July 31. NLE 09 will ostensibly focus on “terrorism prevention and protection,” according to the FEMA website. In addition to the participation of domestic “partners,” the FEMA exercise will include foreign troops. “This year the United States welcomes the participation of Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom in NLE 09.”
The FEMA website states that “Fire and Emergency Medical Services will play a crucial role in the event of a pandemic. Planning for pandemic influenza is key.”
In Natural Disasters and the Militarization of America, Chossudovsky details how deployment of the military in response to a pandemic “would be governed by the same criteria in conformity with the basic tenets of the ‘war on terrorism.’ The latter also characterize the workings of FEMA…. Under the NRP [Homeland Security's National Response Plan]… civilian organizations are directly under the authority of the DHS, FEMA and the Pentagon.”
In short, martial law will be declared. Is it possible this is what NLE 09 is gearing up for?
Genetically modified foods are not safe. The only reason they're in our food supply is because government bureaucrats with ties to industry suppressed or manipulated scientific research and deprived consumers of the information they need to make informed choices about whether or not to eat genetically modified foods.
Now, the Obama Administration is putting two notorious biotech bullies in charge of food safety! Former Monsanto lobbyist Michael Taylor has been appointed as a senior adviser to the Food and Drug Administration Commissioner on food safety. And, rBGH-using dairy farmer and Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Dennis Wolff is rumored to be President Obama's choice for Under-Secretary of Agriculture for Food Safety. Wolfe spearheaded anti-consumer legislation in Pennsylvania that would have taken away the rights of consumers to know whether their milk and dairy products were contaminated with Monsanto's (now Eli Lilly's) genetically engineered Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH).

About Michael Taylor
Michael Taylor is a lawyer who has spent the last few decades moving through the revolving door between the employ of GMO-seed giant Monsanto and the FDA and USDA. Taylor is widely credited with ushering Monsanto's recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH) through the FDA regulatory process and into the milk supply -- unlabeled. A Government Accounting Office (GAO) investigated whether Taylor had a conflict of interest and or had engaged in ethical misconduct in the approval of rBGH. The report's conclusion that there was no wrongdoing conflicted with the 30 pages of evidence that Vermont Congressman Bernie Sanders (I-VT) described as proof that "the FDA allowed corporate influence to run rampant in its approval" of the drug.
Taylor is also responsible for the FDA's decision to treat genetically modified organisms as "substantially equivalent" to natural foods and therefore not require any safety studies. The "substantially equivalent" rule allowed the FDA to ignore evidence that genetically engineered foods, including soy, are in fact very different from natural foods and pose specific health risks.
In November 2008, Tom Philpott reported that Taylor was among President-Elect Obama's "team members" looking at energy and natural resources agencies, including USDA. In March 2009, President Obama announced the creation of a White House Food Safety Working Group to improve and coordinate the government's approach to the nationwide food safety crisis. Agri-Pulse reported that Taylor was "the leading candidate to staff the White House [food safety] working group." While anti-GMO activists, including the Organic Consumers Association, protested -- OCA members sent 13,435 letters to USDA Sec. Tom Vilsack, who co-chairs the Food Safety Working Group with HHS Sec. Sebelius -- Taylor laid low. He was nowhere to be found at the White House Food Safety Working Group's May 13th Listening Session. But, the rumor proved true. On July 7, 2009, the FDA announced that Taylor had joined the agency as senior adviser to the commissioner.
As Philpott describes in a July 8th article, Taylor's food safety agenda is to "shift much more of the burden for funding food-safety operations to the state and local level" and to promote HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) systems where the points in a process that pose the most risk are identified and “fixed” with remedies like ammonia washes and irradiation. Taylor's approach -- putting a few bandaids on an industrialized food system gone wrong -- is in direct conflict with organic practices and is likely to unduly burden small producers.
Taylor has long been hostile to real food safety. While working as a lobbyist, Taylor authored more than a dozen articles critical of the Delaney Clause, a 1958 federal law prohibiting the introduction of known carcinogens into processed foods, which had long been opposed by Monsanto and other chemical and pesticide companies. When Taylor rejoined the federal government, he continued advocating that Delaney should be overturned. This was finally done when President Clinton signed the so-called Food Quality Protection Act on the eve of the 1996 elections.
Dennis Wolff is the Secretary of Agriculture for the State of Pennsylvania. Wolff also is a dairy farmer and owns Pen-Col Farms, a 600-acre dairy cattle operation. Wolff has championed agribusiness interests as Pennsylvania's Secretary of Agriculture, including banning local dairies from marketing their products as free of Monsanto's rBGH. Wolff is a member of the Agriculture Technical Advisory Committee to the World Trade Organization (WTO). The WTO has been largely credited with forcing so-called "free trade" on farmers and consumers around the globe, undermining national sovereignty and food safety. Finally, Wolff was a strong proponent of the "ACRE" initiative (Agriculture, Communities and Rural Environment), which gives the Pennsylvania state attorney general’s office the authority to sue municipalities over local farm ordinances deemed to exceed state law, depriving communities the right to ban toxic sewage sludge, factory farms, and GMOs.
Aside from having absolutely no experience in meat inspection, the chief food safety responsibility of the USDA, Dennis Wolff should be rejected for any post within the Obama Administration for the hostile position he has taken, as Pennsylvania's Agriculture Secretary, against consumers' right to know what is in our food. According to the Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility, Wolff:
* Tried to ban all labeling of dairy products that didn't use genetically engineered growth hormone (rBGH or rBST). This was an outright violation of freedom of speech of the dairy processors and the farmers who supplied them.
* Said that consumers were "concerned or confused" about the labeling and said his department received "many calls" about it. Yet when a New York Times reporter asked him about this, Wolff couldn't provide any surveys showing consumers were confused and could not come up with the name of ONE CONSUMER who had complained.
* Held one meeting of the so-called Food Labeling Advisory Committee and said they recommended the labeling ban. Yet the committee never voted on anything and never made any recommendations specific to dairy. Moreover, the group most affected by the rules and most opposed to them, the PA Association of Milk Dealers, was never even invited to the meeting.
Around 12,000 U.S. children will be used as guinea pigs for an experimental swine flu vaccine known to contain the dangerous ingredient squalene, which has been directly linked with cases of Gulf War Syndrome and a host of other debilitating diseases.
According to a report in the Oklahoman, 12,000 children nationwide will partake in “fast-tracked studies” to test the side-effects of the untested swine flu vaccine in trials set to begin next month.
“The trials will test the vaccine’s effectiveness and whether or not it has negative side effects in patients,” states the report.
Since less than 100 children in the U.S. die from regular seasonal flu each year, a reasonable estimate would be that around 100 children will die from swine flu over the course of the next year.
So in effect, the authorities will vaccinate millions of children in order to try and prevent 100 deaths. If the mass vaccination program mirrors the previous swine flu outbreak of 1976 then the vaccine is likely to kill more people than the actual virus.
Furthermore, since the swine flu vaccine includes squalene, a dangerous adjuvant that contributed to Gulf War Syndrome cases, there’s little doubt that it will lead to debilitating lifelong diseases far more deadly than the swine flu virus itself for thousands of children if a mass vaccination campaign is conducted.
According to Meryl Nass, M.D., “A novel feature of the two H1N1 vaccines being developed by companies Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline is the addition of squalene-containing adjuvants to boost immunogenicity and dramatically reduce the amount of viral antigen needed. This translates to much faster production of desired vaccine quantities.”
“Research shows that squalene is the experimental anthrax vaccine ingredient that caused devastating autoimmune diseases and deaths for many Gulf War veterans from the US, UK, and Australia, yet it continues in use today and for new vaccines development in labs,” writes Stephen Lendman.
According to award-winning investigative journalist Gary Matsumoto, there’s a “close match between the squalene-induced diseases in animals and those observed in humans injected with this oil: rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus erythematosus.”
“There are now data in more than two dozen peer-reviewed scientific papers, from ten different laboratories in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, documenting that squalene-based adjuvants can induce autoimmune diseases in animals…observed in mice, rats, guinea pigs and rabbits. Sweden’s Karolinska Institute has demonstrated that squalene alone can induce the animal version of rheumatoid arthritis. The Polish Academy of Sciences has shown that in animals, squalene alone can produce catastrophic injury to the nervous system and the brain. The University of Florida Medical School has shown that in animals, squalene alone can induce production of antibodies specifically associated with systemic lupus erythematosus,” writes Matsumoto.
Micropaleontologist Dr. Viera Scheibner, who conducted research into the adverse effects of adjuvants in vaccines, wrote the following about squalene.
Squalene “contributed to the cascade of reactions called “Gulf War syndrome. (GIs developed) arthritis, fibromyalgia, lymphadenopathy, rashes, photosensitive rashes, malar rashes, chronic fatigue, chronic headaches, abnormal body hair loss, non-healing skin lesions, aphthous ulcers, dizziness, weakness, memory loss, seizures, mood changes, neuropsychiatric problems, anti-thyroid effects, anaemia, elevated ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Raynaud’s phenomenon, Sjorgren’s syndrome, chronic diarrhea, night sweats and low-grade fever.”
Efforts on behalf of authorities to prepare the public for a mass vaccination campaign, which could even be made mandatory if the crisis escalates, have been intensifying in recent weeks.
And yet, as Richard Halvorsen, a Central London GP and medical director of BabyJabs, a children’s immunisation service, writes in the London Times this week, all indications are that the swine flu vaccine will have the least effect in those most at risk from swine flu – children, the elderly and people with underlying health problems.
In his article, Mass flu vaccination would be madness, Halvorsen writes, “Is all this really necessary? To start with, swine flu is far milder than we first feared, so the case for vaccinating millions of healthy adults against a disease that is no more unpleasant than a bad cold is questionable,” adding, “There is no good evidence that the vaccine helps those with chronic health problems or pregnant women. However, we do know that the immunisation offers no more than a modest benefit in the elderly; indeed, the effectiveness of the vaccine is known to decrease sharply after 70 years of age.”
“We have experience of mass vaccination against swine flu from which lessons should be learnt. In America in 1976 a vaccine was offered to the whole population to prevent the spread of an epidemic of swine flu. Millions were rapidly immunised, but the vaccination campaign was stopped after a rise in cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) among recipients of the vaccine. GBS is an autoimmune disorder that causes paralysis of the arms or legs or, rarely, the whole body; the sufferer usually makes a complete recovery, but some suffer permanent paralysis and a few die. Research later estimated that there was one case of GBS caused by every 100,000 swine flu vaccines given. If the current vaccine caused a similar rate of cases, then we could expect hundreds of people to get GBS, some of whom will suffer permanent paralysis or die.”
Given that the vaccine contains an ingredient directly linked with a plethora of horrific diseases, will you take measures to protect your child from a mass vaccination program?

PR campaign to re-brand “Security and Prosperity Partnership” in full swing
A new report out of left leaning globalist think tank the Brookings Institute confirms an agenda to re-brand the long running effort to merge the US, Canada and Mexico into a Federal superstate akin to the European Union.
“Two top Washington think-tanks have now formally suggested in writing that the Obama administration should rename the SPP as a public relations ploy to advance the North American integration agenda without drawing so much flak from those of us interested in preserving U.S. sovereignty,” Corsi writes in his Red Alert newsletter.
In the Brookings Institute report, titled “Toward a New Frontier: Improving the U.S.-Canadian Border”, Christopher Sands, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, where he specializes on North American economic integration, suggests the Obama administration should continue the agenda of the SPP, but under a new name.
“Despite evidence that NAFTA has been beneficial on balance to American business, workers, and consumers the argument remains vilified by many as an unwarranted move to embrace globalization.” Sands writes.
“President Obama recognized this on the campaign trail in 2008, when he called for the renegotiation of NAFTA’s provisions to correct flaws in the original agreement. As a result, the Obama administration will most likely rename the SPP.” Sands concludes.
The report also suggests focusing more on the integration of the US and Canada as a priority, before bringing Mexico into the equation.
Sands suggests the following three courses of action:
1. “President Obama should borrow from the lexicon of the European Union and announce that the United States will proceed in negotiations with its two neighbors ‘at two speeds,’ moving ahead more quickly where possible with its developed neighbor Canada, and allowing Mexico to proceed more slowly as necessary.”
2. “The Obama administration is likely to want to ‘press the reset button’ on the SPP, an unpopular though valuable initiative that has improved policy coordination between the United States and its neighbors.”
3. “The SPP must be re-branded to win any kind of consensus support. The Obama administration recognizes this, and could take a few tactical steps to make the SPP (or its eventual successor) work better and win broader support.”
Sands defines his vision of the re-branded SPP as an effort “to build a truly ‘new frontier’ on the northern border,” adding that “President Obama’s community organizing experience suits him well for the task ahead.”
Sands is deeply entrenched in the integration agenda, being a member of the Advisory Committee to the U.S. Section of The North American Competitiveness Council (NACC), organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to consult with U.S. government officials in negotiations under the SPP.
The NACC is essentially an elite advisory board comprised of 30 senior private sector representatives of North American corporations that were selected by the American, Canadian and Mexican governments at the June 2006 trilateral meeting in Cancun, Mexico.
Last year, one month prior to the SPP summit in April, documents were uncovered relating how the NACC was formed as part of a public relations overhaul to counter critics of the SPP.
The documents detailed how, through the NACC, corporate representatives were urged to “humanize” North American integration, promote NAFTA success stories to employees and unions and evolve the harmonization agenda “without fueling protectionism”.
The move was seemingly a response to the continued exposition of the integration agenda, which led to representatives within Congress petitioning the government on the secretiveness of the SPP and multiple states introducing resolutions calling on their federal representatives to halt work on the so called “North American Union”.
“The key to understanding what is going on with the SPP under the Obama administration is the realization that globalists always proceed under a stealth agenda,” Jerome Corsi comments.
“Globalists typically mask their real plans to produce regional governments out of trade agreements by changing names and designing different structures when initial attempts to destroy nation-states are exposed and stalled by citizens who are still patriotic enough to cherish what remains left of their national sovereignty.”
Bright House Networks employees will watch for “suspicious behavior,” which according to law enforcement and DHS guidelines includes being politically active, displaying bumper stickers, or disagreeing with the government
One of the largest cable TV companies in the United States is training its employees to look for suspicious behavior and report it to police under the guise of a neighborhood watch initiative. Since according to law enforcement and Homeland Security guidelines, suspicious behavior includes owning guns, being politically active, and having bumper stickers on your car, the cable guy’s next visit to your house may turn out to have more interesting consequences than you originally anticipated.
“Operation Bright Eyes is designed to maximize the eyes and ears of Bright House Networks field service representatives and other employees to easily identify suspicious behavior and to quickly report criminal activities to police,” according to a Fox 35 report.
All current and new Bright House employees will receive training to help them use the ‘resources at their disposal’ to “become familiar with residents and activities in neighborhoods” and report anything they deem unusual to the authorities in order to “keep our neighborhoods safe”.
Since when was it the job of the cable guy to run around pretending to be an undercover cop? This program is ripe for abuse and another advancement in the tattle-tale stasi society being created in order to make the sheeple self-police their behavior, constantly aware that they are being watched by secret police and living in fear that big brother will catch any minor indiscretion.
The legacy of training Americans to spy on each other in the name of “safety” has its origins in Operation TIPS, which was supposedly nixed by Congress, a DOJ, FBI, DHS and FEMA coordinated program that would have recruited one in twenty-four Americans as domestic informants, a higher percentage than was used by the Stasi in Communist East Germany.
Government funding was cut after an outcry but private funding continues and the same program was introduced under a number of sub-divisions including AmeriCorps, SecureCorps and the Highway Watch program.
More recently, ABC News reported that “The FBI is taking cues from the CIA to recruit thousands of covert informants in the United States as part of a sprawling effort…..to aid with criminal investigations.”
In July last year we reported on how hundreds of police, firefighters, paramedics and utility workers have been trained and recently dispatched as “Terrorism Liaison Officers” in Colorado, Arizona and California to watch for “suspicious activity” which is later fed into a secret government database.
Also last year, a New York Times feature article heartily celebrated the fact that an increasing number of Americans are becoming informants and turning in their neighbors and family members to the authorities in return for cash rewards. In a piece about a new program run by Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, citing gas prices, foreclosure rates and runaway food price inflation, The Times lauds the fact that citizens are reporting on each other, ensuring “a substantial increase in Crime Stopper-related arrests and recovered property, as callers turn in neighbors, grandchildren or former boyfriends in exchange for a little cash.”
Forget Orwell’s 1984, this purebred tyranny is about as sophisticated as the wacky dictatorship portrayed in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1987 movie The Running Man, where citizens are reminded by huge TV screens placed on street corners that they can “earn a double bonus for reporting on a family member!”
Bright House Networks has 2.4 million customers and covers “several large cities including Tampa Bay and Orlando, Florida; Bakersfield, California; Indianapolis, Indiana; Detroit, Michigan; and Birmingham, Alabama; along with several other smaller regions in Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.”
Perhaps that 2.4 million figure will begin to dwindle once customers find out that the cable guy is eyeing them up for suspicious activity.
What constitutes suspicious activity isn’t listed, but if it’s in line with law enforcement and Homeland Security guidelines – watch out.
As we have previously documented, people displaying suspicious behavior as defined by law enforcement authorities in documents such as the MAIC report, along with Homeland Security lexicon files, include Ron Paul supporters, libertarians, people who display bumper stickers, people who own gold, or even people who fly a U.S. flag.
Homeland Security even equates people who express disagreement with the government with domestic extremists and terrorists. So if the cable guy sees an Alex Jones DVD in your TV cabinet, will that mandate a call to the cops?
There seems little need for President Obama to even create his promised “domestic security force,” and such a move would merely represent a centralization of what is already underway, since a plethora od programs that train Americans to report on each other are already firmly in place across the country.

Texas Congressman Ron Paul yesterday slammed Ben Bernanke, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, directly blaming the Fed for creating the financial crisis and systematically compounding the problems with its ongoing policies.
Paul’s opening statement to Bernanke at the House Financial Services Committee hearing contained a fierce flurry of facts, figures and statements that hit the Fed head with a ferocity of boxing champion’s knock out blow.
The Congressman did not mince his words, opening with the following immutable statement:
“The Federal Reserve in collaboration with the giant banks has created the greatest financial crisis the world has ever seen.”
Paul then delivered a two and a half minute barrage of truth, succinctly encapsulating the Fed’s complicity in the financial collapse of America.
“The foolish notion that unlimited amounts of money and credit created out of thin air can provide sustainable economic growth has delivered this crisis to us.” The Congressman blasted.
“Instead of economic growth and stable prices, (The Fed) has given us a system of government and finance that now threatens the world financial and political institutions.”
“Pursuing the same policy of excessive spending, debt expansion and monetary inflation can only compound the problems that prevent the required corrections.” Paul continued
“Doubling the money supply didn’t work, quadrupling it won’t work either.” he said bluntly, glaring at Bernanke and shaking his head.
The Congressman implored that the only way out of a debt crisis is to pay off or liquidate the debt, “we are doing neither” he concluded.
“Buying up the bad debt of privileged institutions and dumping worthless assets on the American people is morally wrong and economically futile.” Paul counseled.
During his five minute questioning window, Paul challenged Bernanke on quotes attributed to him that suggested The Fed chairman had said that HR1207, Ron Paul’s bill to audit the Federal Reserve, would interfere with the Fed’s interest rates decisions.
The Congressman maintained it would do nothing of the sort, while Bernanke attempted to suggest that giving the Government Accountability Office the power of audit over the Fed would inhibit and restrict the Fed’s ability to make decisions on monetary policy by politicizing it.
Paul fired back stating that it is preposterous to suggest that the Fed isn’t already overtly politicized:
“Just the fact that they can issue a lot of loans and special privileges to banks and corporations, that’s political. This idea that it would be political because we know what happened afterwards just doesn’t seem to add up.” Paul beseeched.
Paul then challenged Bernanke on the definition of inflation after he implied that buying debt and printing more money was not inflationary.
After Congressman Paul’s time was up, Rep Bill Posey (Florida) continued the line of questioning on inflation stating “purely printing new money doesn’t cause inflation, that’s really news to me!”
Posey also questioned Bernanke on the effort to audit the Fed, stating that in his opinion an after the fact audit in no way interferes with the everyday decision making of the Fed.
“I just don’t see why there shouldn’t be one hundred percent crystal clear transparency of every single function of the Fed after the fact.” Posey implored.
“Because we have to be extraordinarily careful that the markets and the public don’t think that Congress is trying to influence monetary policy decisions.” Bernanke responded.
Yes, God forbid that elected officials should have any say in how the country is financially run. God forbid that Congress should be allowed to enforce any kind of accountability upon a privately owned bank that has seized control of the US monetary system and driven the world toward the brink of ruin! And God forbid that the US taxpayer should know anything about the decisions made on it’s behalf by a private corporate entity.
Near the end of the video here shot by WeAreChange activists, the great-grandson of John D. Rockefeller can only offer a telling smile when asked about the eugenics history of his family. “Go find somebody else to talk to,” snaps the West Virginia senator when politely asked to elaborate.
As briefly documented in the short video, the Rockefeller family essentially created the modern eugenics movement from scratch. As John B. Sharpless of the University of Wisconsin documented in 1993 after examining the files of the Rockefeller Foundation, the records of the Population Council, and the personal papers of John D. Rockefeller III, Rockefeller spawned foundations are responsible for a “nearly unanimous change in attitudes and ideas about population that occurred during the 1960s.” In addition to the Rockefeller Foundation and the Population Council, other foundations active in eugenics include the Ford Foundation, the Milbank Memorial Fund, the Carnegie Corporation, and the Conservation Foundation.
The Carnegie Institution established a laboratory complex at Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island in 1904 that stockpiled millions of index cards on ordinary Americans, as researchers carefully plotted the removal of families, bloodlines and whole peoples. “From Cold Spring Harbor, eugenics advocates agitated in the legislatures of America, as well as the nation’s social service agencies and associations,” Edwin Black wrote for the San Francisco Chronicle in 2003.
In the United States, key eugenic organizations funded by the Rockefeller, Harriman and Carnegie families included the American Eugenics Society, and its sister organization, the American Society of Human Genetics established in 1947, the above mentioned Cold Springs Harbor Experimental Station for the Study of Evolution, the Eugenic Record Office, and the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research.
It should be noted that J.D. Rockefeller and Averell Harriman were business partners of Prescott Bush in Brown Brothers Harriman. In addition to funding and promoting eugenics, they supported and funded the Nazi rise to power.
Jay Rockefeller’s family is responsible for the racist eugenics policies that led to the mass extermination of millions.
The Rockefellers funded the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Germany, ultimately responsible for Hitler’s mass extermination policy. In addition to supporting Alexis Carrel, who advocated the use of poison gas to get rid of useless eaters, the Rockefellers funded the program that Josef Mengele worked in before he went to Auschwitz where he became medical commandant and experimented on concentration camp inmates. These gruesome medical experiments included needles used to change eye color, work on infections and blood transfusions, the removal of limbs without anesthetics, sex changes, sterilization, and other unspeakable crimes. Countless people were murdered and their organs, eyeballs, heads, and limbs sent to the Rockefeller group at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute.
The Rockefellers’ chief executive for the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute was the fascist Swiss psychiatrist Ernst Rudin. Rudin and his staff, as part of the Task Force of Heredity Experts chaired by SS chief Heinrich Himmler, crafted Germany’s sterilization law. Dr. Alexis Carrel of the Rockefeller Institute and a Nobel Prize winner publically applauded Hitler for advocating the mass murder of mental patients and prisoners.
Rockefeller and his bankster cronies were up to their eyes in eugenics and mass extermination. “Under the Nazis, the German chemical company I.G. Farben and Rockefeller’s Standard Oil of New Jersey were effectively a single firm, merged in hundreds of cartel arrangements. I.G. Farben was led, up until 1937, by the Warburg family, Rockefeller’s partner in banking and in the design of Nazi German eugenics,” writes Anton Chaitkin. Standard-Germany president Emil Helfferich testified after the war that Standard Oil funds helped pay for SS guards at Auschwitz, the notorious mass extermination and slave labor camp.
After the war, the Rockefeller eugenics movement experienced a facelift to distance itself from the discredited Nazis. In the 1950s, the Rockefellers reorganized the U.S. eugenics movement and added population-control and abortion groups. The Eugenics Society changed its name to the Society for the Study of Social Biology — a mere two months after Roe was handed down. “The name was changed because it became evident that changes of a eugenic nature would be made for reasons other than eugenics, and that tying a eugenic label on them would more often hinder than help their adoption. Birth control and abortion are turning out to be great eugenic advances of our time. If they had been advanced for eugenic reasons it would have retarded or stopped their acceptance,” commented Frederick Osborn, who oversaw the workings of the organization at the time.
As documented by Rebecca Messall and others, Roe v. Wade “relies directly and indirectly on the work of members of the British and American eugenic societies and of eugenics-related groups and initiatives.” Abortion has nothing to do with “choice” or empowering women — it is about controlling the masses and culling the herd.
In his excellent study of the Rockefellers, Gary Allen explains that the “Rockefeller game plan is to use population, energy, food, and financial controls as a method of people control which will lead, steadily and deliberately, into the Great Merger,” a one-world government and global fascism. “Understand that … enforced infertility is not planned for India or Senegal, but for the United States, where zero population growth is already a fact.
But we are being led to believe that unless we give Big Brother total power over people’s rights to have children, we will all be ankle deep in human beings within a decade. Such august organizations as the National Academy of Sciences are helping to hawk this Rockefeller line… Curbing population growth is just part of the Rockefeller war on the American family. Abortion is another.
Jay Rockefeller may deny knowledge of his family’s intimate connections to eugenics and abortion — and direct involvement in Hitler’s genocidal rampage across Europe — but the record is out there for all to see. It is easily researched on the internet.
And maybe that is why Jay Rockefeller mused during a Senate committee hearing a few months ago that we’d all be better off if the internet never existed. Minus the internet and search engines, it will be far easier to lead the masses to near extinction if they go ignorantly blissful like lambs to the slaughter with little more resistance than a bleat.
Drastically slashing world population and reducing the remainder into obedient slaves is the final act of the global elite. Jay Rockefeller knows it and that’s what his knowing smile was all about.
The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) has issued a statement publicly questioning the necessity and safety of administering experimental H1N1 swine flu vaccines to children in schools. NVIC called on the Obama Administration and state Governors to provide evidence to parents that there are vaccine safety screening, recording, monitoring, reporting and vaccine injury compensation mechanisms in place. On April 26, a national public health emergency was declared by officials in the U.S. Departments of Health and Homeland Security. We were told it was necessary to declare a national emergency because people were getting sick from a new swine flu virus that began in Mexico and might cause a deadly influenza pandemic. So far, the vast majority of people who get sick with swine flu have symptoms that are no worse than the regular flu and recover completely.
The declaration of a national public health emergency last spring set a chain of events in motion: some schools were closed, some people were quarantined and drug companies were given billons of tax dollars to create experimental swine flu vaccines. These new vaccines are being fast tracked by the FDA. We are being told they will only be tested for a few weeks on a few hundred children and adults before being given to children in schools in October.
Under federal legislation passed by Congress since 2001, an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) allows drug companies, health officials and anyone who gives experimental vaccines to Americans during a declared public health emergency, to be protected from liability if people get hurt……….to read more go to NVIC.

Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke was confronted yesterday by Congressman Alan Grayson about which foreign banks were the recipients of Federal Reserve credit swaps, but he was unable to provide an answer as to where over half a trillion dollars had gone.
Asked which European financial institutions received the money, which was handed out by The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), a component of the Federal Reserve System, Bernanke responded, “I don’t know.”
“Half a trillion dollars and you don’t know who got the money?” asked Grayson.
As we have previously reported, the destination of trillions in bailout funds remains hidden after the Fed refused to disclose where it had gone despite a lawsuit filed by Bloomberg.
Bernanke said the Fed had a “long standing legal authority” to hand money to foreign banks under section 14 of the Federal Reserve Act, a claim contradicted by Bernanke’s own report, as Grayson soon highlighted.
Grayson said that he had investigated one of the arrangements, a $9 billion dollar package to New Zealand, which works out at $3000 dollars for every citizen of New Zealand.
“Seriously, wouldn’t it have been better to extend that kind of credit to Americans rather than New Zealanders,” said Grayson.
The Congressman then implied that handing money to foreign institutions was unconstitutional, reading from Article I, “No money shall be drawn from the treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law.”
“Do you think it’s in the spirit of the Constitution for a group like the FOMC to hand out a half a trillion dollars to foreigners without any action by this Congress?” asked Grayson, to which Bernanke responded that Congress had approved it with the Federal Reserve act of 1913. Grayson responded that in 1913, the entire GDP of the U.S. was well under half a trillion dollars.
“Is it safe to say that nobody in 1913 contemplated that a small little group of people would decide to hand out half a trillion dollars to foreigners?,” asked Grayson, to which Bernanke again claimed that the authority had been used numerous times before.
Grayson debunked this claim by pointing to Bernanke’s own report, which stated that the entire amount had been handed out starting from the last quarter of 2007, and the amount given out before that to foreign banks was zero.
The Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee met July 15th to hear testimony regarding the Real ID Act 2005 and the newly introduced Providing for Additional Security in States' Identification ("PASS") Act. Senator Lieberman is the Chairman of the committee. As you will see, the "fix" was in.
For two weeks the Stop Real ID Coalition, of which I, Mark Lerner, am the co-founder, had lobbied to provide testimony to the committee. Thousands of our supporters called the committee on our behalf.
The answer we received from the committee staffers was there was going to be two witnesses that were already scheduled to testify before the committee that were opposed to the PASS Act, thus my testimony was not needed.
This is where the "problem" started. I had already spoken with one of the two people that were supposedly going to oppose the PASS Act. He told me his organization was supporting the PASS Act. The second person was a former DHS senior person who had previously stated he preferred Real ID but would accept the PASS Act. He did believe the PASS Act did need some strengthening to work.
My own area of knowledge is in the areas of biometrics and global information sharing. I have testified on the state level many times. I must have been considered credible because legislation opposing Real ID resulted.
Knowing that I was not being allowed to testify, I decided to attend the hearing. Committee staffers had notified me that I would be allowed to submit written testimony. I declined because the "fix" was in. Few people ever read written testimony.
Long story short-The hearing proceeded and not one person provided opposing testimony to the PASS Act. Not only was I lied to but so were the thousands of citizens who called. The hearing was a "staged" event.
One would have to believe there were provisions of the Real ID Act that were not just needed but could not be achieved at the state level by state lawmakers before supporting Real ID or the PASS Act. The National Governors Association worked with Senator Akaka (the author of the PASS Act), the National Conference of State Legislators, and DHS to come up with the compromise legislation, the PASS Act.
The NGA and the NCSL sold out states’ rights and the rights of citizens for money. No surprise.
Our organization is opposed to the use of biometrics and RFID with state driver’s licenses. International standards under Real ID apply to the license itself and the digital facial image. American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) standards for driver’s licenses were adopted as part of Real ID. On AAMVA’s website they proclaim they are an international organization that serves law enforcement and motor vehicle administrators. The International Civil Aviation Organization, an agency of the U.N., adopted standard was applied to the digital facial image/photograph for state driver’s licenses during the rulemaking process for the Real ID Act.
By using international standards there would be global interoperability/information sharing. The photo was mandated to be facial recognition compatible. Real ID/PASS Act=Being enrolled into a single global biometric identification system that links our body to our ability to buy and sell.
After the hearing I asked people to call the committee staffers and Senator Lieberman’s office and again asked if I could testify in person before the legislation came up for a vote in committee in about two weeks. Once again committee staffers lied. They told callers two people had testified against the PASS Act and went further by saying I did not know what I was talking about. The actual testimony is provided on the committee’s web-site.
We are going to focus our efforts on the House Homeland Security Committee when the legislation goes to the House of Representatives.
I have met with the ACLU about the Real ID Act. That meeting with the support of Republican state lawmakers resulted in the ACLJ opposing Real ID. The provisions of the PASS Act would not allow the ACLJ to support the PASS Act. I spoke with the ACLU and they were already opposing the PASS Act as they did the Real ID Act. EPIC and others are also opposing the PASS Act as they did the Real ID Act. A top epidemiologist has slammed the “dangerous fearmongering” behind the swine flu scare and dismissed it as nothing more than the product of an industry licking its lips at the prospect of a profitable pandemic.
In an interview with German news outlet Spiegel Online, epidemiologist Tom Jefferson chastised doomsday predictions about pandemics that seem to arrive almost every year now.
“One of the extraordinary features of this influenza — and the whole influenza saga — is that there are some people who make predictions year after year, and they get worse and worse. None of them so far have come about, and these people are still there making these predictions. For example, what happened with the bird flu, which was supposed to kill us all? Nothing. But that doesn’t stop these people from always making their predictions. Sometimes you get the feeling that there is a whole industry almost waiting for a pandemic to occur,” said Jefferson.
Jefferson states that pharmaceutical companies have built a machine around the impending pandemic and are already cashing in.
“And there’s a lot of money involved, and influence, and careers, and entire institutions! And all it took was one of these influenza viruses to mutate to start the machine grinding,” he adds.
Indeed, government proclamations about the inevitability of swine flu returning as a more potent threat this fall have helped fuel massive profits for pharmaceutical companies who are “reaping billions of dollars in extra revenue amid global concern about the spread of swine flu,” according to a Financial Times report.
“Analysts expect to see a boost in sales from GlaxoSmithKline, Roche and Sanofi-Aventis when the companies report first-half earnings lifted by government contracts for flu vaccines and antiviral medicines,” states the article.
Jefferson points out that the swine flu could have gone largely unnoticed had it not been so strongly branded by the “machine” that profits from hyping it into something that we should all be afraid of.
“Don’t you think there’s something noteworthy about the fact that the WHO has changed its definition of pandemic?” asks Jefferson. “The old definition was a new virus, which went around quickly, for which you didn’t have immunity, and which created a high morbidity and mortality rate. Now the last two have been dropped, and that’s how swine flu has been categorized as a pandemic.”
Jefferson highlights the fact that there are hundreds of viruses circulating, some of which are potentially deadly, that produce the same symptoms as influenza, such as rhinoviruses and RSV, which the public knows virtually nothing about because they haven’t had the same “machine” behind them as swine flu.
Why haven’t such viruses received anything like the attention given to swine flu? “It’s easy: They can’t make money with it,” says Jefferson. “With rhinoviruses, RSV and the majority of the other viruses, it’s hard to make a lot of money or a career out of it. Against influenza, though, there are vaccines, and there are drugs you can sell. And that’s where the big money from the pharmaceuticals industry is. It makes sure that research on influenza is published in the good journals. And that’s why you have more attention being paid there, and the entire research field becomes interesting for ambitious scientists.”
Jefferson also discussed why seasonal influenza vaccines were all but useless, because flu viruses mutate while the very vaccine to combat them is still in production, making the shot mostly ineffectual when actually administered, not to mention potential side-effects.
“The importance of influenza is completely overestimated. It has to do with research funds, power, influence and scientific reputations,” said Jefferson, adding that drugs like Tamiflu have also been linked with “psychotic reactions similar to those found in schizophrenics.”
In the former Soviet Union, psikhushkas — mental hospitals — were used by the state as prisons in order to isolate political prisoners, discredit their ideas, and break them physically and mentally. The Soviet state began using mental hospitals to punish dissidents in 1939 under Stalin. The Psychiatric Prison Hospital in the city of Kazan was transferred to NKVD (the secret police organization for the People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs) control and in 1969 Yuri Andropov, the head of KGB, submitted to the Central Committee of Communist Party of the Soviet Union a plan for creating a network of psikhushkas.
According to official Soviet psychiatry and the Moscow Serbsky Institute at the time, “ideas about a struggle for truth and justice are formed by personalities with a paranoid structure.” Treatment for this special political schizophrenia included various forms of restraint, electric shocks, electromagnetic torture, radiation torture, lumbar punctures, various drugs — such as narcotics, tranquilizers, and insulin — and beatings. Anne Applebaum, author of Gulag: A History, indicates that at least 365 sane people were treated for “politically defined madness,” although she surmises there were many more.
It now appears “politically defined madness” has arrived in the West. The Associated Press reports today that a Berlin court has ordered psychiatric care for a man who staged a protest before Obama’s speech in Berlin during his presidential campaign. A German man drove through barricades around Berlin’s Victory Column the day before Obama was to speak in July 2008 and poured red paint from his car. The court says the man was protesting “injustice and poverty in the world” and is not guilty of any offenses for the reason of mental illness. In a ruling, the Court determined the man suffers from manic depression and was remanded to a psychiatric institute.
No word on the form of treatment the man will receive for his “manic depression” in response to “injustice and poverty in the world.”
The government wants to shake us down for our visits to the lavatory
The vampiric and gluttonous feeding frenzy currently being enjoyed by the federal government under the pretext of climate change is set to be expanded with a range of new taxes on products disposed of via waste water, including cosmetics, toothpaste and toilet paper.
The “Water Protection and Reinvestment Act,” H.R.3202, introduced last week by Representative Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore), will be “financed broadly by small fees on such things as bottled beverages, products disposed of in wastewater, corporate profits, and the pharmaceutical industry,” according to Blumenauer’s fact sheet.
Though the taxes are “designed to be collected at the manufacturer level,” only the most naive would doubt that multinational corporations would just pass the cost on to the consumer in the form of higher prices, as is routine.
Items disposed of in wastewater, such as toothpaste, cosmetics, toilet paper and cooking oil will be subject to a 3% excise tax, while water beverages will be hit with a 4% tax, “because these products wind up in the water stream and require clean up by sewage treatment plants,” according to the bill.
The legislation also cites “climate change mitigation” as a justification for imposing the taxes. The Feds’ new feeding frenzy will rake in around $10 billion dollars a year.
The bill even defines “toilet tissue” in section 4172. “The rulemaking to define what rises to the level of a bottom-wipe is in the name of a good cause: to tax the stuff,” writes Chris Horner. “The current band of feds don’t think you’ve paid enough tax — this has been established ad nauseam — and now want a dedicated revenue, er, stream, to pay to replace corroded pipes and overburdened sewer systems nationwide.”
The necessity of cleaning up a water supply poisoned with the toxic soup of human disposals seems like a reasonable proposal, especially in light of evidence that antiandrogens in our rivers and lakes are contributing to global sperm reduction and essentially chemically sterilizing men, and yet when the filters are ready to be installed at water treatment facilities that would remove this junk, the government steps in and blocks them under the justification that they contribute to CO2 emissions.
The fact that the global warming feeding frenzy has now reached a level of insanity to the point where the federal government is essentially preparing to tax us to defecate and urinate shows how far down the line we really are. What’s next? A tax on breathing? After all, we humans exhale that evil life-giving poisonous gas carbon dioxide. The New York Times actually introduced the idea of the government imposing a tax on breathing in a March 2007 editorial.
As we are lectured about the necessity of why we must have every aspect of our lives regulated and taxed in order to save the earth, we learn that the government’s last efforts to do so, during the ozone layer scare of the 80’s and 90’s, actually harmed the environment.
The Washington Post reported on Monday that hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), introduced in the 90’s to replace ozone-depleting gases in deodorants, fridges and air conditioners, actually “act like “super” greenhouse gases, with a heat-trapping power that can be 4,470 times that of carbon dioxide.” So while the government was brow-beating us about the evils of emitting CO2 because it apparently caused global warming, they were actually mandating that we use a gas which contributed to global warming to an substantially greater degree.
The "New Economy" was based on services. Its artificial life was fed by the Federal Reserve’s artificially low interest rates, which produced a real estate bubble, and by "free market" financial deregulation, which unleashed financial gangsters to new heights of debt leverage and fraudulent financial products.
The real economy was traded away for a make-believe economy. When the make-believe economy collapsed, Americans’ wealth in their real estate, pensions, and savings collapsed dramatically while their jobs disappeared.
The debt economy caused Americans to leverage their assets. They refinanced their homes and spent the equity. They maxed out numerous credit cards. They worked as many jobs as they could find. Debt expansion and multiple family incomes kept the economy going.
And now suddenly Americans can’t borrow in order to spend. They are over their heads in debt. Jobs are disappearing. America’s consumer economy, approximately 70% of GDP, is dead. Those Americans who still have jobs are saving against the prospect of job loss. Millions are homeless. Some have moved in with family and friends; others are living in tent cities.
Meanwhile the US government’s budget deficit has jumped from $455 billion in 2008 to $2,000 billion this year, with another $2,000 billion on the books for 2010. And President Obama has intensified America’s expensive war of aggression in Afghanistan and initiated a new war in Pakistan.
There is no way for these deficits to be financed except by printing money or by further collapse in stock markets that would drive people out of equity into bonds.
The US government’s budget is 50% in the red. That means half of every dollar the federal government spends must be borrowed or printed. Because of the worldwide debacle caused by Wall Street’s financial gangsterism, the world needs its own money and hasn’t $2 trillion annually to lend to Washington.
As dollars are printed, the growing supply adds to the pressure on the dollar’s role as reserve currency. Already America’s largest creditor, China, is admonishing Washington to protect China’s investment in US debt and lobbying for a new reserve currency to replace the dollar before it collapses. According to various reports, China is spending down its holdings of US dollars by acquiring gold and stocks of raw materials and energy.
The price of one ounce gold coins is $1,000 despite efforts of the US government to hold down the gold price. How high will this price jump when the rest of the world decides that the bankruptcy of "the world’s only superpower" is at hand?
And what will happen to America’s ability to import not only oil, but also the manufactured goods on which it is import-dependent?
When the over-supplied US dollar loses the reserve currency role, the US will no longer be able to pay for its massive imports of real goods and services with pieces of paper. Overnight, shortages will appear and Americans will be poorer.
Nothing in Presidents Bush and Obama’s economic policy addresses the real issues.
Instead, Goldman Sachs was bailed out, more than once. As Eliot Spitzer said, the banks made a "bloody fortune" with US aid.
It was not the millions of now homeless homeowners who were bailed out. It was not the scant remains of American manufacturing—General Motors and Chrysler—that were bailed out. It was the Wall Street Banks.
According to Bloomberg.com, Goldman Sachs’ current record earnings from their free or low cost capital supplied by broke American taxpayers has led the firm to decide to boost compensation and benefits by 33 percent. On an annual basis, this comes to compensation of $773,000 per employee.
This should tell even the most dimwitted patriot who "their" government represents.
The worst of the economic crisis has not yet hit. I don’t mean the rest of the real estate crisis that is waiting in the wings. Home prices will fall further when the foreclosed properties currently held off the market are dumped. Store and office closings are adversely impacting the ability of owners of shopping malls and office buildings to make their mortgage payments. Commercial real estate loans were also securitized and turned into derivatives.
The real crisis awaits us. It is the crisis of high unemployment, of stagnant and declining real wages confronted with rising prices from the printing of money to pay the government’s bills and from the dollar’s loss of exchange value. Suddenly, Wal-Mart prices will look like Nieman Marcus prices.
Retirees dependent on state pension systems, which cannot print money, might not be paid, or might be paid with IOUs. They will not even have depreciating money with which to try to pay their bills. Desperate tax authorities will squeeze the remaining life out of the middle class.
Nothing in Obama’s economic policy is directed at saving the US dollar as reserve currency or the livelihoods of the American people. Obama’s policy, like Bush’s before him, is keyed to the enrichment of Goldman Sachs and the armament industries.

[Rolling Stone, July 13, 2009] Look at the Goldman Sachs representatives in the Clinton, Bush and Obama administrations. This bankster firm controls the economic policy of the United States.
Little wonder that Goldman Sachs has record earnings while the rest of us grow poorer by the day.
Israel has made great public disclosure of its warships passing through the Suez Canal on their way to Iran.
When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Japan did not spend years preparing her public case and demonstrating her deployment of forces for the attack. Japan did not make a world issue out of her view that the US was denying Japan her role in the Pacific by hindering Japan’s access to raw materials and energy.
Similarly, when Hitler attacked Russia, he did not preface his invasion with endless threats and a public case that blamed the war on England.
These events happened before the PSYOPS era. Today, America and Israel’s wars of aggression are preceded by years of propaganda and international meetings, so that by the time the attack comes it is an expected event, not a monstrous surprise attack with its connotation of naked aggression.
The US, which has been threatening Iran with attack for years, has passed the job to Israel. During the third week of July, the American vice president and secretary of state gave Israel the go-ahead. Israel has made great public disclosure of its warships passing through the Suez Canal on their way to Iran. “Muslim” Egypt is complicit, offering no objection to Israel’s naval forces on their way to a war crime under the Nuremberg standard that the US imposed on the world.
By the time the attack occurs, it will be old hat, an expected event, and, moreover, an event justified by years of propaganda asserting Iran’s perfidy.
Israel intends to dominate the Middle East. Israel’s goal is to incorporate all of Palestine and southern Lebanon into “Greater Israel.” The US intends to dominate the entire world, deciding who rules which countries and controlling resource flows.
The US and Israel are likely to succeed, because they have effective PSYOPS. For the most part, the world media follows the US media, which follows the US and Israeli governments’ lines. Indeed, the American media is part of the PSYOPS of both countries.
According to Thierry Meyssan in the Swiss newspaper Zeit-Fragen, the CIA used SMS or text messaging and Twitter to spread disinformation about the Iranian election, including the false report that the Guardian Council had informed Mousavi that he had won the election. When the real results were announced, Ahmadinejad’s reelection appeared to be fraudulent.
Iran’s fate awaits it. A reasonable hypothesis to be entertained and examined is whether Iran’s Rafsanjani and Mousavi are in league with Washington to gain power in Iran. Both have lost out in the competition for government power in Iran. Yet, both are egotistical and ambitious. The Iranian Revolution of 1979 probably means nothing to them except an opportunity for personal power. The way the West has always controlled the Middle East is by purchasing the politicians who are out of power and backing them in overthrowing the independent government. We see this today in Sudan as well.
In the case of Iran, there is an additional factor that might align Rafsanjani with Washington. President Ahmadinejad attacked former President Rafsanjani, one of Iran’s most wealthy persons, as corrupt. If Rafsanjani feels threatened by this attack, he has little choice but to try to overthrow the existing government. This makes him the perfect person for Washington.
Perhaps there is a better explanation why Rafsanjani and Mousavi, two highly placed members of the Iranian elite, chose to persist in allegations of election fraud that have played into Washington’s hands by calling into question the legitimacy of the Iranian government. It cannot be that the office of president is worth such costs as the Iranian presidency is not endowed with decisive powers.
Without Rafsanjani and Mousavi, the US media could not have orchestrated the Iranian elections as “stolen,” an orchestration that the US government used to further isolate and discredit the Iranian government, making it easier for Iran to be attacked. Normally, well placed members of an elite do not help foreign enemies set their country up for attack.
An Israeli attack on Iran is likely to produce retaliation, which Washington will use to enter the conflict. Have the personal ambitions of Rafsanjani and Mousavi, and the naive youthful upper class Iranian protesters, set Iran up for destruction?
Consult a map and you will see that Iran is surrounded by a dozen countries that host US military bases. Why does anyone in Iran doubt that Iran is on her way to becoming another Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, in the end to be ruled by oil companies and an American puppet?
The Russians and Chinese are off balance because of successful American interventions in their spheres of influence, uncertain of the threat and the response. Russia could have prevented the coming attack on Iran, but, pressured by Washington, Russia has not delivered the missile systems that Iran purchased. China suffers from her own hubris as a rising economic power, and is about to lose her energy investments in Iran to US/Israeli aggression. China is funding America’s wars of aggression with loans, and Russia is even helping the US to set up a puppet state in Afghanistan, thus opening up former Soviet central Asia to US hegemony.
The world is so impotent that even the bankrupt US can launch a new war of aggression and have it accepted as a glorious act of liberation in behalf of women’s rights, peace, and democracy.
Fallout From Nuclear Attack on Natanz and Isfahan. With scale showing levels of radiation exposure. Over a few days, exposure at greater than 10 rems per hour will cause death, and at 1 rem per hour exposures lead to radiation sickness.
In a hare-brained nightmare scenario dreamed up by the Center for Strategic and International Studies — home-base for neocon crackpots such as Michael Ledeen and war criminals of Madeleine Albright’s caliber — Iran manages to produce a nuclear weapon and drops it on Israel, ultimately killing 800,000 people. “Retaliatory Israeli nuclear strikes, with higher-yield bombs and accurate rocket delivery systems, would be far more destructive,” writes Peter Goodspeed for the National Post. “A full-fledged Israeli nuclear response, using some, but not all, of its 200 nuclear weapons, would target most major Iranian cities and major military bases. It would kill 16 million to 28 million people within three weeks.”
It is estimated Israel has around 400 nuclear weapons. As Israeli arms technician Mordecai Vanunu revealed in 1986, the Israelis have produced 100 to 200 advanced fission bombs and have mastered a thermonuclear design. In 1986, it appeared to have a number of thermonuclear bombs ready for use. According to the Institute for Defense Analyses, Israel’s facilities at Soreq and Dimona have the same mission as the Los Alamos, Lawrence Livermore and Oak Ridge National Laboratories in the United States. More than twenty years ago, Israel was developing the computer “codes which will enable them to make hydrogen bombs.”
Meanwhile, Iran is not up to speed, never mind the scary science fiction story weaved by the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Iran did manage to enrich a small amount of uranium using a cascade of 164 centrifuges that spin uranium hexafluoride gas at supersonic speed. The enriched uranium that Iran produced cannot be used in a nuclear weapon because it contains just 3.5% U-235, whereas a nuclear weapon typically requires highly-enriched uranium that contains more than 90% U-235.
Never mind highly-enriched uranium – Iran has problems with low-enriched uranium. Earlier this year, the International Atomic Energy Agency reported that Iran had badly underestimated previous assessments of how much low-enriched material it had produced. The IAEA stressed that technical constraints and equipment inefficiencies would prevent Iran from further refining the low-enriched uranium into an adequate supply of weapon-grade material.
However, this has not stopped Israel and the neocons from hysterically claiming Iran has “enough enriched uranium fissionable material to manufacture at least one or two atom bombs of the Hiroshima type,” as Uri Dan wrote for the Jerusalem Post in early 2006. If it didn’t have the nuclear material for a couple crude bombs, “Iranian President Ahmadinejad would not have dared come out with his declaration that Israel should be wiped off the map,” claims Rafi Eitan, key architect of Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Mossad (the operative motto for Mossad is: “By way of deception, thou shalt do war,” according to Victor Ostrovsky, a former Mossad agent).
As it turns out, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad did not call for Israel to be “wiped off the map,” as Eitan, the neocons, and most of the corporate media (most notably the New York Times) repeatedly and dishonestly claim. Ahmadinejad’s speech was deliberately mistranslated by MEMRI, the Middle East Media Research Institute, a Mossad front masquerading as a news service. “Starting with Juan Cole, and going via the New York Times’ experts through MEMRI to the BBC’s monitors, the consensus is that Ahmadinejad did not talk about any maps,” Jonathan Steele wrote for the Guardian in June, 2006. Ahmadinejad did not talk attacking Israel. He made a vague wish for the end of political Zionism — which is, of course, for some the same as attacking Israel with a nuclear bomb.
The ludicrous Center for Strategic and International Studies report — coauthored by the former director of intelligence assessment in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Anthony Cordesman — has appeared in the wake of the dismal failure by Israeli and U.S. intelligence to sabotage the Iranian elections and foment a “color revolution.” It is also designed to coincide with Israel’s provocative Red Sea military exercises that are a rehearsal for an attack on Iran. “Defense experts in Israel said … that the naval activity had been publicized with the intent of sending a message to Iran,” the Telegraph reported last week.
In the real world, the only nuclear threat in the Middle East is the one posed by Israel. If Israel follows through on its threat — increasingly likely with the passing of each week — to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, the result will be catastrophic. In the aftermath of an attack, “huge amounts of radioactive material will be lofted into the air to contaminate the people of Iran and surrounding countries,” explains Dr. Helen Caldicott, who consulted with an eminent international authority on nuclear weapons. “This fallout will induce cancers, leukemia, and genetic disease in these populations for years to come, both a medical catastrophe and a war crime of immense proportions,” she writes in her book, “Nuclear Power Is Not The Answer,” published in 2007. She cites the example of Chernobyl.
Finally, as analysts note, conventional weapons will not be effective against Iran’s underground nuclear materials storage site and uranium conversion plant at Isfahan and the underground uranium enrichment plant at Natanz. “Iranian officials have acknowledged the Isfahan facility is specifically designed to be impervious to conventional attack, making it a prime nuclear target. The Natanz plant is buried between 18 and 23 meters below the surface, making it a difficult target for conventional attack. For this scenario, we modeled attacks, each with three B61-11 earth-penetrating nuclear weapons set to explode with a yield of 340kt. Meteorological models in the HPAC were used to determine the distribution pattern of fallout,” write Physicians for Social Responsibility.
“From our map [above] we can see that within 48 hours, fallout would cover much of Iran, most of Afghanistan and spread on into Pakistan and India. Fallout from the use of a burrowing weapon such as the B61-11 would be worse than from a surface or airburst weapon, due to the extra radioactive dust and debris ejected from the blast site. In the immediate area of the two attacks, our calculations show that within 48 hours, an estimated 2.6 million people would die.” In the wider area, over 10.5 million people would be exposed to significant radiation from fallout. “In the immense fallout zone, very few people would have access to adequate medical care, increasing the potential number of casualties of an attack. From studies conducted after the use of nuclear weapons against Japan we know that there would also be a severe psychological trauma for the affected population, which would further exacerbate negative health outcomes for attack victims.”
The Saudis are taking the threat seriously. In 2008, the Saudi Shura Council — comprised of an elite group making decisions for the autocratic inner circle — prepared “national plans to deal with any sudden nuclear and radioactive hazards that may affect the kingdom following experts’ warnings of possible attacks on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear reactors,” according to the kingdom’s leading newspaper, Okaz. In September of 2008, Israel also began preparing civilians for the inevitability of radiation exposure.
Israel and the United States are ready to accept this massive death toll and radioactive contamination in order to “send a message” to Iran. In addition to millions of initial deaths, an Israeli attack – naturally conducted with U.S. participation — would deal a death blow to the global economy and kick off a third world war (the neocons like to call this the “fourth world war,” the third being the so-called Cold War).
“It is impossible to imagine CBS News, journalism or indeed America without Walter Cronkite,” said Sean McManus, president of CBS News, on the passing on Walter Cronkite. “More than just the best and most trusted anchor in history, he guided America through our crises, tragedies and also our victories and greatest moments.”
I wonder if Mr. McManus knew the real Cronkite — Cronkite the a former intelligence officer who was lured away from his UPI Moscow desk by Operation Mockingbird’s Phil Graham.
Of course he did. Because the corporate media, at least at the level Walter Cronkite occupied, is rife with spooks, government agents, and disinfo operatives. The CIA has “important assets” inside every major news publication in the country, a fact established by numerous FOIA documents. A rare glimpse was also provided by Frank Church’s committee in the mid-70s.
Some of the journalists working the CIA’s side of the street “were Pulitzer Prize winners, distinguished reporters who considered themselves ambassadors-without-portfolio for their country,” Carl Bernstein wrote in an article published in Rolling Stone in October, 1977. “Most were less exalted: foreign correspondents who found that their association with the Agency helped their work; stringers and freelancers who were as interested it the derring-do of the spy business as in filing articles, and, the smallest category, full-time CIA employees masquerading as journalists abroad.”
“It was not until 1982 that the Agency openly admitted that reporters on the CIA payroll have acted as case officers to agents in the field,” writes Alex Constantine in The Depraved Spies and Moguls of the CIA’s Operation MOCKINGBIRD. “Most consumers of the corporate media were — and are — unaware of the effect that the salting of public opinion has on their own beliefs.”
“In the 1950s, outlays for global propaganda climbed to a full third of the CIA’s covert operations budget. Some 3, 000 salaried and contract CIA employees were eventually engaged in propaganda efforts. The cost of disinforming the world cost American taxpayers an estimated $265 million a year by 1978, a budget larger than the combined expenditures of Reuters, UPI and the AP news syndicates.”
Cronkite was a trusted and valued part of that huge mass propaganda effort.
It seems to many of us that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace. To do that, of course, we Americans will have to yield up some of our sovereignty. That would be a bitter pill. It would take a lot of courage, a lot of faith in the new order. But the American colonies did it once and brought forth one of the most nearly perfect unions the world has ever seen.
It is said Cronkite “somehow spoke for the nation he spoke to,” according to the Los Angeles Times, when in fact — like all corporate media figures — Cronkite was reading from a script provided by the CIA at the behest of the ruling elite.
The San Francisco-based Bohemian Club, perhaps the most exclusive men’s club in the world, holds its “Summer Encampment” at the Bohemian Grove on the Russian River in mid-July each year. Don’t ponder what’s to come. For God’s sake, don’t even think about it!
You’ve hired lobbyists and contributed, as they advised you, to Democrat politicians, and spoke nary a word against “Card-check” or “The Fairness doctrine,” much less the phony trillion dollar “Stimulus Package.” They told you it wasn’t smart to raise your head above the bunker. Many of you even contributed to the Obama campaign, ignoring his stated promise to “redistribute the wealth of America.”
So, enjoy the Lakeside Talks; the enchanting walks up Edwards Road to the Club House; nodding with studied nonchalance to your fellow Bohemians with familiar names and faces, often second and third generation Club members; and enjoy the wonderful food and beverages at your camp. What fun! You’ve earned it, haven’t you?
Some of you have garnered lucrative government contracts and grants all year. Often, you paid dearly for them. That was just “part of the game,” you knew. Aren’t you proud of your accomplishments?
When you arrive this year, you will notice that there is no gauntlet to run at Bohemian Road. Is it because they now consider you irrelevant, or is it that they know they have won.
You have always prided yourselves on being members of an exclusive club that has upheld the genteel values of America’s well-bred elite for over a hundred years. Your world has been as secure as your place in it. You have enjoyed the company of presidents and future presidents at The Grove, as well as your fellow leaders of American industry, media, and academe.
This summer, will you contemplate the recent Pravda article that said, “American decent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed”? Will you take note that the Justice Department has dropped the charges against the jackbooted Black Panther thugs, wielding weapons, who blocked polling places and intimidated voters in the last election?
Will you ask yourselves whether you and your fellow Bohemians, with all the power and authority that you possess, bear any responsibility for the current events? Will you ask if your world---Liberty and Capitalism---was so fragile that it could be taken away so easily?
It is breath-taking: Your government now owes a record $63.8 Trillion! And the president promised his supporters just three weeks ago in Los Angeles, “You haven’t seen anything yet.” As you watch, your government is stealing the fruits of the next two, or three, generation’s labor. Will your posterity curse you, Bohemians?
At the Grove this summer, will you ask yourselves what you will---must ?---do to reverse America’s “decent into Marxism”?
Or will you pursue your usual course of “non-involvement,” at least personally, because “politics is such a dirty business,” certainly beneath your station?
Will you ask yourselves if there will even be a Bohemian Club for your sons and grandsons to join? General Motors, Lehman Brothers, Circuit City, Countrywide, Bear Stearns, and numerous major banks are no more. Why should the Bohemian Club remain?
Is this “a time for choosing”, as your fellow Bohemian, Ronald Reagan, once said? He, the man who ended forty-four years of cold war, with his grit, patriotism, and determination.

In Kurt Vonnegut’s short story entitled: Harrison Bergeron – on which a 1972 screenplay, “Between Time & Timbuktu” was based – we are introduced to a world where human creativity and true equality are squashed in the name of fairness… “THE YEAR WAS 2081, and everybody was finally equal. They weren’t only equal before God and the law. They were equal every which way. Nobody was smarter than anybody else. Nobody was better looking than anybody else. Nobody was stronger or quicker than anybody else. All this equality was due to the 211th, 212th, and 213th Amendments to the Constitution, and to the unceasing vigilance of agents of the United States Handicapper General.”
Like many other Patriots, I have found myself to be a lone ranger in the Info-War from time to time. After all, we are not always joined together – marching, waving signs or distributing materials with our fellow lovers of liberty. We are often left to defend liberty alone – on random message boards, or at work, or in the homes of our friends and families. In these moments where I have been forced to stand alone against one, two, sometimes ten [pathetically unknowing] fans of Big Government – more times than not, after presenting the visions and values of true economic freedom and true individual liberty – I am made out to be an enemy of the “little man.”
Vonnegut’s “Handicapper General” is a most appropriate image to consider when we look at the spineless scum we’ve relied on to defend our beloved Constitutional Republic. When our elected officials spend more time trying to create an illusion of fairness with back-assward legislation – from Hate Crime Laws, Cyber-Bullying and Fairness Doctrines to No Child Left Behind and runaway entitlements – they are throwing shackles around the ankles and necks of American ingenuity.
Vonnegut describes his title character, Harrison Bergeron, as such:
“He is a genius and an athlete, is under–handicapped, and should be regarded as extremely dangerous.”
“Nobody had ever worn heavier handicaps. He had outgrown hindrances faster than the H–G men could think them up. Instead of a little ear radio for a mental handicap, he wore a tremendous pair of earphones, and spectacles with thick wavy lenses. The spectacles were intended to make him not only half blind, but to give him whanging headaches besides.”
“Scrap metal was hung all over him. Ordinarily, there was a certain symmetry, a military neatness to the handicaps issued to strong people, but Harrison looked like a walking junkyard. In the race of life, Harrison carried three hundred pounds. And to offset his good looks, the H–G men required that he wear at all times a red rubber ball for a nose, keep his eyebrows shaved off, and cover his even white teeth with black caps at snaggle–tooth random.”
Ironically, we defend liberty as our peers support Big Government handicapping, and somehow we are accused of stepping on the little man. “Libertarians believe you should let big business do whatever the hell they want – everyone else be damned” I often hear… and this same premise can be applied to a myriad of other sutations in which so many believe they are creating more opportunity where in fact they are limiting it. Yet these types of arguments clearly marginalize the little man rather than defend him.
Big-Gov proponents assume that free individuals can not be trusted to make decisions for themselves – that they can not be trusted to defend themselves – that they are not capable of experiencing the ups and downs, the gains and losses without nanny-state oversight and regulation safety nets to break their fall if things should not turn out the way they expected. But this is not preschool… this is life… this is AMERICAN LIFE.
It’s tough sometimes… you bet your ass it is. But when a free man or woman is left to explore their creativity and their passion for life without the overabundant interference of Handicapper Generals – even with some stumbles and falls along the way – the reward is so valuable and so fulfilling that all of the blood, sweat and tears are worth it. We should all be so lucky to enjoy that raw sense of self-respect after a job well done… when we set our minds to something and plow through the obstacles – no matter how big or how small – and we achieve.
There is something special inside all of us. We must identify it… we must harness it… and we must capitalize on it. But most importantly, this pseudo-intellectual opinion that everyone must be made “equal” must be abandoned. Lovers of liberty far and wide will agree that all People, no matter the color of their skin or the number of zeros on their paycheck, should be treated fairly under the law. All People should enjoy the same opportunity to pursue happiness. But those who have set out and achieved their goals – those who have natural talents and natural gifts that lead them to success – should not be penalized or held back by a bunch of Handicapper Generals in Washington, DC. Competition is a natural driving force of success and no other place but the United States has proven that so explicitly. So let’s be fair. Break the shackles and chains of Big Government – let creativity and ingenuity flourish again – set the human spirit free again.
In the absence of my being there in New York City to stand with the 9/11 families, first responders and survivors, I offer the following statement in support of your goal of a new investigation into the attacks of September 11th and the NYC CAN campaign to place it on the ballot for November.
At the time of 9-11, I had been an FBI agent for over 20 years. My main responsibilities by then were teaching criminal procedure to FBI agents and other law enforcement officers, mostly about 4th Amendment search and seizure, 5th and 6th Amendment law of interrogation, right to attorney and constitutional protection of rights to “free speech”, due process, habeas corpus, and against cruel and unusual punishment. A week before 9-11, I and the rest of the FBI’s ethics instructors were mandated (as a result of an earlier public FBI scandal) to give a one hour PowerPoint presentation, a form of remedial training on “law enforcement ethics” which I accomplished in a fairly perfunctory way, just reading the slides.
After 9-11, with the knowledge I had of the bitter internal dispute inside the FBI that was being hushed up but had kept some of our better agents from possibly uncovering more of the 9-11 plot before it happened, I couldn’t forget two of the slides in that Law Enforcement ethics curriculum: “DO NOT: Puff, Shade, Tailor, Firm up, Stretch, Massage, or Tidy up statements of fact.” And “Misplaced Loyalties: As employees of the FBI, we must be aware that our highest loyalty is to the United States Constitution. We should never sacrifice the truth in order to obtain a desired result (e.g. conviction of a defendant) or to avoid personal or institutional embarrassment.”
The official dissembling and excuse-making about the true causes and prior mistakes that gave rise to and allowed the terrorist attacks to happen, almost immediately ushered in the Bush-Cheney Administration’s egregious and lawless, post 9-11 “war on terror” agenda which bore no connection to the original causes and no connection to the goal of reducing terrorism and making the world safer. When I got a chance, about 8 ½ months after 9-11 to tell what I knew, I did so and my disclosures led to further investigation by the Department of Justice Inspector General and figured in the 9-11 Commission Report.
But it was way too late for this emerging bit of truth that has continued to leak out in dribs and drabs to have any impact. The laws themselves, especially the criminal procedure ones rooted in the Constitution that I had spent my career teaching to law enforcement, have largely gone up in smoke. Having seen the cost of remaining silent, I publicly warned, a few months after my first memo, against launching the pre-emptive invasion of Iraq. But false agendas had already filled the vacuum created by lack of truth. And we are still dealing with the disastrous consequences of these unjustified, pre-emptive wars.
Let me therefore simply repeat the request I made to the Senate Judiciary Committee in June 2002: “Foremost, we owe it to the public, especially the victims of terrorism, to be completely honest. I can only imagine what these crime and terrorism victims continue to go through. They deserve nothing but the complete, unfettered truth.”
Therefore, I fully support the 9/11 families, first responders, survivors and over 60,000 other New Yorkers who have endorsed a new 9/11 investigation in New York City as advanced by ballot referendum this coming November election.

Billo says “No” to Cap and Trade (and rightfully so), but ordains the reasoning behind it
On last night’s The O’ Reilly Factor, disinformation slugs O’ Reilly and Glenn Beck were discussing the Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (Cap and Trade). Brace yourself. This may be the first and last time you may ever see these two right about the same issue ever again.
Billo correctly called it a ‘con’ while Glenn Beck correctly stated that no matter what you believed about global warming, the Cap and Trade legislation will not do anything to solve the problem. A part of me just knew that one of these two goons couldn’t make it to the end of the segment without saying something idiotic or false. My intuition is still batting 1.000.
As Billo was telling Beck that he believed in global warming and acknowledging that Beck did not, Billo said, “I am gonna give you a thermometer for Christmas”. Beck correctly responded by telling Billo, “Temperature peaked 11 years ago. I was with you on global warming. I’ve said this over and over again…you have to be a dummy if you don’t look at the thermometer. The thermometer was showing that it was going up, k? Peaked 11 years ago”, to which O’ Reilly replied:
“Yeah, but the last, in the last 8 years, have been 7 of the warmest years on record”. Beck replies, “Don’t believe that’s true”, to which O’ Reilly says, “Yeah, it is, check it out, check it out, we did.”
Only O’ Reilly can make Glenn Beck look like an educated researcher. Of course, as is the case 99% of the time, O’ Reilly is incorrect. Since global temperatures reached its peak in 1998, temperatures dropped significantly in 1999 and 2000 and have risen some since, but leveled off steadily between 2003-2007 but dropped significantly again in 2008.

The chart below, which shows global temperatures since 1893, shows clearly that from right around 1910 until 1960 were our “warmest years on record”. Global temperatures rose again in the early 1970’s as well. Where were the global warming alarmists between 1910 and 1960, and again in the early 70’s? Nowhere. Why? Because temperatures fluctuate, that’s why. In fact, the temperatures have been taking a rapid decline recently.
Last year it was reported that North America had received it’s highest snowfall in over 50 years. Wisconsin was hit by it’s highest snowfall in recorded history. Other states like Florida, Minnesota and Texas also recorded sub-freezing temperatures. It was so bad in Texas early last year that the Dept. of State and Health Services had to issue this warning.
The irony of O’ Reilly making the claim that “7 of the last 8 years” were “the warmest on record” and his anger over the Obama administration agenda to launch the biggest tax hike in the history of the United States is staggering. O’ Reilly is basically saying that he is angry that these criminals in Washington who want to do this to the American people, but he agrees as to their reasoning behind it!
Obama Supreme Court pick Sonia Sotomayor believes that suspects captured on the battlefield must receive all rights afforded to American citizens under the Constitution. That’s the good news. Now here’s the bad. She thinks American citizens don’t have the right to own firearms.
As a graduate student at Princeton University, Sotomayor wrote a thesis entitled “Deadly Obsession: American Gun Culture.” In the text, Sotomayor makes the argument that the Second Amendment does not actually afford individual citizens the right to bear arms. She believes only the military has this right. According to Sotomayor, it has been illegal for individuals to own firearms since the passing of the Bill of Rights.
In 2004, in U.S. v. Sanchez-Villar, a three-judge panel that included Sotomayor wrote that “the right to possess a gun is clearly not a fundamental right.” In another case, Sotomayor ruled that it is illegal for citizens to keep nunchakus in their homes.
Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, said on Wednesday that “Judge Sotomayor’s position on the Second Amendment is a clear signal that Mr. Obama’s claim that he supports gun rights is nothing but lip service,” reports CBS News.
“Judge Sotomayor’s record suggests hostility, rather than empathy, for the tens of millions of Americans who exercise their right to keep and bear arms,” said Dave Kopel of the Independence Institute.
Ken Blackwell of the Family Research Council believes her nomination amounts to “a declaration of war against America’s gun owners.”
Earlier this year, Sotomayor ruled that states do not have to obey the Second Amendment’s commandment that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, according to CNSNews. In Maloney v. Cuomo, Sotomayor signed an opinion of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit that said the Second Amendment does not protect individuals from having their right to keep and bear arms restricted by state governments.
Sonia Sotomayor would be a perfect Supreme Court justice for the Obama administration. Obama the supposed constitutional scholar is a notorious gun-grabber, although the corporate media refuses to underscore this fact. He endorsed the unconstitutional Illinois gun ban. In classic doublethink fashion, he has declared support for the Second Amendment in principle but backed local gun bans. Obama wants to ban “all forms” of semi-autos. But it is not simply semi-automatics — he would even ban most common rimfire target pistols, including those used in Olympic competition. Many Americans understand Obama wants to outlaw guns and in response they are purchasing guns and ammo in record numbers. “Gun sales are on the rise across the U.S. and many dealers are having trouble keeping guns and ammunition in stock. Sales of guns moved sharply upward last November, the same month voters chose a new president,” reports VOA News.
A growing number of states understand the federal government is gearing up to not only outlaw firearms and trash the Second Amendment, but possibly confiscate them as well.
For instance, Tennessee governor Phil Bredesen has promised to sign a bill today making it legal to possess a firearm during martial law. “Sponsors say martial rule is the same as martial law at the federal level. They say the law is necessary after law enforcement in New Orleans went door to door seizing weapons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina,” reports the Associated Press.

President Obama has picked an anti-gun radical to replace Justice David Souter on the Supreme Court.
Obama's pick is Judge Sonia Sotomayor, who is currently on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second District. There she has racked up an anti-Second Amendment record and has displayed contempt for the rule of law under the Constitution.
The Heller decision put the Supreme Court in support of the Constitutional protection of the individual right to keep and bear arms. Sotomayor, a politically correct lover of centralized government power (as long as she is part of the power elite), immediately went into counter-attack mode against the Heller decision.
Sotomayor was part of a three-judge panel earlier this year which ruled in Maloney v. Cuomo that the Second Amendment does not apply to the states. As she and her cohorts claimed, the Supreme Court has not yet incorporated the states under the Second Amendment. Until then, she believes, the Second only applies to the District of Columbia. Sotomayor worries gun rights groups NRA undecided on nominee
Gun rights groups said attempts by Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor to defuse a showdown on Second Amendment rights have done little to assuage their concerns.

A Maryland company under contract to the Pentagon is working on a steam-powered robot that would fuel itself by gobbling up whatever organic material it can find — grass, wood, old furniture, even dead bodies.
Robotic Technology Inc.'s Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot — that's right, "EATR" — "can find, ingest, and extract energy from biomass in the environment (and other organically-based energy sources), as well as use conventional and alternative fuels (such as gasoline, heavy fuel, kerosene, diesel, propane, coal, cooking oil, and solar) when suitable," reads the company's Web site.
That "biomass" and "other organically-based energy sources" wouldn't necessarily be limited to plant material — animal and human corpses contain plenty of energy, and they'd be plentiful in a war zone.
EATR will be powered by the Waste Heat Engine developed by Cyclone Power Technology of Pompano Beach, Fla., which uses an "external combustion chamber" burning up fuel to heat up water in a closed loop, generating electricity.
The advantages to the military are that the robot would be extremely flexible in fuel sources and could roam on its own for months, even years, without having to be refueled or serviced.
Upon the EATR platform, the Pentagon could build all sorts of things — a transport, an ambulance, a communications center, even a mobile gunship.
In press materials, Robotic Technology presents EATR as an essentially benign artificial creature that fills its belly through "foraging," despite the obvious military purpose.
Robotic Technologies Inc. has contracted with Cyclone Power
Technologies Inc. to develop a biomass engine system to power the
company’s Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot—a vehicle which will
be capable of self-obtaining and ingesting biomass to produce energy to
power itself.
The project is funded by Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, (DARPA) a U.S. Department of Defense research organization.
RTI President Robert Finkelstein describes the patent-pending
system as a biologically-inspired, organism-like robotic vehicle which
finds and processes biomass in a manner similar to eating. Therefore,
it will not need conventional refueling, but is capable of running on
convention fuels when needed.
The contract with Cyclone will consist of two phases. In the first
phase, within six months Cyclone will build and deliver an engine
containing a biomass combustion chamber for demonstration purposes. In
phase two, the company will build and deliver the biomass trimmer,
gatherer and feeder system to work with its engine power source.
Through the duration of the project, the EATR will be tested to
demonstrate its ability to identify suitable biomass sources of
energy—such as wood, grass or paper—and distinguish them from
unsuitable materials such as rocks, metal or glass. Its ability to
spatially locate and manipulate sources of energy—cutting, shredding to
size, grasping, lifting and ingesting—will also be tested, as well as
its ability to convert the biomass to sufficient electrical energy.
The EATR will contain an autonomous intelligent control system with
sensors allowing the vehicle to find and recognize energy sources,
manipulate the material with robotic arms which contain and gripper and
a shredder, and divert the biomass into the combustion chamber. The
robot may generate 1 kilowatt hour of electricity for every three to 12
pounds of dry vegetation, which translates to two to eight miles of
driving or more than 80 hours of standby. According to Finkelstein, 150
pounds of vegetation could provide sufficient energy for 100 miles of
driving.
The electricity produced will provide an electric current to a
battery pack, which will power the sensors, processors and controls, as
well as the robotic arm.
“Our contract with DARPA requires an initial demonstration by April
2010,” Finkelstein said. “We expect to have a prototype autonomous
intelligent EATR vehicle by April 2011. An operational system could be
available by 2012-2013.”
Finkelstein said that in addition to military missions, the EATR
may be applicable to civil applications, such as agricultural vehicles
(robotic or manned) that could use the biomass waste gleaned from the
fields as a source of energy, as well as forestry and homeland security
applications.
The purpose of the Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot (EATR) ™ project is to develop and demonstrate an autonomous robotic platform able to perform long-range, long-endurance missions without the need for manual or conventional re-fueling, which would otherwise preclude the ability of the robot to perform such missions.
The system obtains its energy by foraging – engaging in biologically-inspired, organism-like, energy-harvesting behavior which is the equivalent of eating. It can find, ingest, and extract energy from biomass in the environment (and other organically-based energy sources), as well as use conventional and alternative fuels (such as gasoline, heavy fuel, kerosene, diesel, propane, coal, cooking oil, and solar) when suitable. For example, about 150 lbs of vegetation could provide sufficient energy for 100 miles of driving, depending on circumstances.
The EATR ™ system consists of four main subsystems:
(1) an autonomous intelligent control system and sensors;
(2) a manipulator system consisting of a robotic arm and end effectors;
(3) a hybrid engine system consisting of a biomass combustion chamber, a Stirling (i.e., external combustion) engine, and a multi-cell rechargeable battery; and
(4) a platform system consisting of a robotically-modified High Mobility Multi-Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). The initial proof-of-concept demonstration, a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) project sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), will focus on the ability of the EATR to recognize biomass sources of energy from non-energy materials, properly manipulate and ingest the biomass materials into the engine system, and generate electrical power to operate the various subsystems.
This demonstration project can lead to three potential Phase III commercialization projects:
(1) the development of prototype and operational EATR™ systems for military and civil applications;
(2) new civil and military applications for the 4D/RCS autonomous intelligent control system for robotic vehicles and ubiquitous intelligence; and
(3) development of the Stirling engine system for civil and military automotive applications, whether for manned or unmanned vehicles. BACKGROUND
Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs) are being developed to perform long-range, long-endurance missions (such as DARPA’s Vulture Program to develop a UAV capable of remaining on-station uninterrupted for over five years to perform intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and communication missions over an area of interest). Likewise, there is a need for Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) to perform long-range, long-endurance missions without manual or conventional refueling (however, unlike for UAVs, solar energy alone is insufficient for most UGV energy requirements). A robotic vehicle’s inherent advantage is its ability to engage in long-endurance, tedious, and hazardous tasks, such as Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition (RSTA) under difficult conditions, without fatigue or stress.
This advantage can be severely reduced by the need for the robotic platform to replenish its fuel supply. Example long-range, long-endurance missions for robotic ground vehicles include: RSTA missions in the mountains and caves of Afghanistan and Pakistan; search missions for nuclear facilities and underground bunkers in rogue nations; special operations and counter-insurgency; patrolling remote borders; homeland security; serving as nodes in distributed and remote command, control, communications, and intelligence (C3I) networks; and serving as remote, mobile sensor and target tracking platforms in ballistic missile defense systems. Either strategically or tactically, long-range, long-endurance UGVs can work cooperatively with – and complement – long-range, long-endurance UAVs, such as the DARPA Vulture project to develop a heavier-than-air craft that can keep a 1,000-pound payload aloft for five years.
TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES
The initial objective is to develop and demonstrate a proof-of-concept system. Demonstration of a full operational prototype is the objective for a Phase III commercialization project. The project will demonstrate the ability of the EATR™ to:
(1) identify suitable biomass sources of energy and distinguish those sources from unsuitable materials (e.g., wood, grass, or paper from rocks, metal, or glass);
(2) spatially locate and manipulate the sources of energy (e.g., cut or shred to size, grasp, lift, and ingest); and
(3) convert the biomass to sufficient electrical energy to power the EATR™ subsystems. The EATR™ system has four major subsystems: a robotic mobility platform subsystem; an autonomous, intelligent control and sensor subsystem; a robotic arm and end effectors subsystem; and a hybrid external combustion (Stirling-cycle) engine subsystem. Robotic Mobility Platform The autonomous robotic mobility platform may consist of any suitable automotive vehicle, such as a robotically-modified High Mobility Multi-Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), or a purely robotic vehicle. The platform provides mobility for the mission and mission payload, and, for our proof-of-concept purposes, accommodation for the EATR™ subsystems.
The robotic mobility platform is not the focus of this project, nor is it essential for the EATR™ proof-of-concept demonstration. However, it will be included to provide a more realistic system context than a laboratory “breadboard” type demonstration of the EATR™ subsystems. The vehicle may, in fact, be either an autonomous or telerobotic HMMWV, although its movement (including cross-country path planning and obstacle avoidance) will be an optional part of the proof-of-concept demonstration.
The subsystems, for example, might be mounted on a trailer attached to the vehicle. Autonomous Intelligent Control The autonomous intelligent control subsystem will consist of the 4D/RCS (three dimensions of space, one dimension of time, Real-time Control System) architecture, with new software modules which we will create for the EATR™. The 4D/RCS has been under development by the Intelligent Systems Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce, for more than three decades with an investment exceeding $125 million. The NIST 4D/RCS has been demonstrated successfully in various autonomous intelligent vehicles, and a variation of the 4D/RCS serves as the Autonomous Navigation System (ANS) mandated for all robotic vehicles in the Army’s Future Combat System (an additional investment of $250 million). NIST is providing assistance in transferring the 4D/RCS technology for the EATR™.
The control subsystem will also include the sensors needed for the demonstration (e.g., optical, ladar, infrared, and acoustic). While the NIST 4D/RCS architecture is capable of autonomous vehicle mobility, it will be used in this project to: control the movement and operation of the sensors, process sensor data to provide situational awareness such that the EATR™ is able to identify and locate suitable biomass for energy production; control the movement and operation of the robotic arm and end effector to manipulate the biomass and ingest it into the combustion chamber; and control the operation of the hybrid Stirling engine to provide suitable power for the required functions. The 4D/RCS is a framework in which sensors, sensor processing, databases, computer models, and machine controls may be linked and operated such that the system behaves as if it were intelligent.
It can provide a system with several types of intelligence (where intelligence is the ability to make an appropriate choice or decision):
(1) Reactive intelligence based on an autonomic sense-act modality which is the ability of the system to make an appropriate choice in response to an immediate environmental stimulus (i.e., a threat or opportunity). Example: the vehicle moves toward a vegetation sensed by optical image processing.
(2) Deliberative intelligence, which includes prediction and learning, which is based on world models, memory, planning, and task decomposition, and includes the ability to make appropriate choices for events that have not yet occurred but which are based on prior events. Example: the vehicle moves downhill in a dry area to search for wetter terrain which would increase the probability of finding biomass for energy. (3) Creative intelligence, which is based on learning and the ability to cognitively model and simulate and it is the ability to make appropriate choices about events which have not yet been experienced. Example: from a chance encounter with a dumpster, the vehicle learns that such entities are repositories of paper, cardboard, and other combustible materials, and develops tactics to exploit them as energy-rich sources of fuel. Robotic Arm and End Effector The robotic arm and end effector will be attached to the robotic mobility platform, either directly or affixed to a platform towed behind the HMMWV. It will have sufficient degrees-of-freedom, extend sufficiently from the platform, and have a sufficient payload to reach and lift appropriate materials in its vicinity. The end effector will consist of a multi-fingered (e.g., three-fingered or two-thumb, one-finger) hand with sufficient degrees-of-freedom to grasp and operate a cutting tool (e.g., a circular saw) to demonstrate an ability to prepare biomass for ingestion, and to grasp and manipulate biomass for ingestion. Hybrid External Combustion Engine The source of power for EATR™: new hybrid external combustion engine system from Cyclone Power Technology Inc. It is integrated with a biomass combustion chamber to provide heat energy for the engine (EATR can also carry supplemental fuel, such as propane). The engine will provide electric current for a rechargeable battery pack, which will power the sensors, processors and controls, and the robotic arm/end effector (a rechargeable battery pack ensures continuous energy output despite intermittent biomass energy intake). The hybrid external combustion engine is very quiet, reliable, efficient, and fuel-flexible compared with the internal combustion engine. The engine will not provide mobility power for vehicle for the proof-of-concept, but it will for the EATR prototype COMMERCIALIZATION Our vision is that this demonstration project will lead to three potential Phase III commercialization projects:
(1) the development of prototype and operational EATR™ systems for military and civil applications;
(2) new civil and military applications for the autonomous intelligent control system; and
(3) development of the Stirling engine system for civil and military automotive applications, whether for manned or unmanned vehicles.

EATR™ In Phase III, EATR™ will be commercialized for long-range, long-endurance military missions, but it also has civil applications as well – wherever vehicles must function in wilderness areas for extended periods of time, such as for forestry, exploration, natural resource monitoring, fire protection, and border patrol. Agriculture, for example, is a particularly promising application, where energy-intensive vehicles such as tractors and harvesters could glean their energy directly from waste biomass in the field. AUTONOMOUS INTELLIGENT CONTROL: 4D/RCS The Phase III commercialization of the 4D/RCS autonomous intelligent control system promises to be the most significant opportunity.
In addition to its potential for achieving a high level of performance – and ultimately cognition – in various kinds of robots, it will serve as the basis for ubiquitous intelligence: the ability to insert intelligence into entities and facilities of all kinds. With sensors and voice interaction, we will be able to converse with our walls without having lost our sanity. The 4D/RCS can serve as the basis as a decision tool for managing complex systems of systems, whether for the military (as for the Future Combat System (FCS) where it could provide an overarching decision framework for ground and air robotic and manned platforms, or civil applications such as for traffic control or management of large organizations. In a corporation, for example, historical and real-time data can flow into the system concerning sales, competition, investors, geopolitics, environmental conditions, etc. (instead of data from sensors for robotic control) and the processed data can flow through the world model and task decomposition modules to provide suggested courses of action to decision makers (or be allowed to act autonomously for some decisions).
Large interactive displays can show the system’s real-time interaction embodying the corporation’s classic SWOT analysis: Strengths, Opportunities, Weaknesses, and Threats. HYBRID STERLING ENGINE Unlike internal combustion engines, the Cyclone engine, which is a type of Rankine cycle steam engine, uses an external combustion chamber to heat a separate working fluid (de-ionized water) which expands to create mechanical energy by moving pistons or a turbine. Combustion is external so the engine is extremely fuel-flexible and can run on any fuel (solid, liquid, or gaseous), including: biomass, agricultural waste, coal, municipal trash, kerosene, ethanol, diesel, gasoline, heavy fuel, chicken fat, palm oil, cottonseed oil, algae oil, hydrogen, propane, etc. – individually or in combination. A 100 Hp prototype engine for vehicles has been developed.
The Cyclone engine is environmentally friendly because combustion is continuous and more easily regulated for temperature, oxidizers, and fuel amount. Lower combustion temperatures and pressures create less toxic and exotic exhaust gases. A uniquely configured combustion chamber creates a rotating flow that facilitates complete air and fuel mixing, and complete combustion, so there are virtually no emissions. Less waste heat is released (hundreds of degrees lower than internal combustion exhaust). The engine does not need: a catalytic converter, radiator, transmission, oil pump or lubricating oil (because it is water lubricated). The decreased engine size and weight provides increased efficiency and reliability.
National Public Radio notes that Professor John Oxford at St. Bart's and the Royal London Hospital says that the 1957 H1N1 pandemic probably started when it escaped from a lab:
"We reckon now, in retrospect, it was probably released accidentally from a laboratory, probably in northern China or just across the border in Russia, because everyone was experimenting with those viruses at the time in the lab." It was nothing malicious, Oxford believes, just some flu vaccine research that broke out of containment.
Some scientists have speculated that the 1977 Russian flu, the most recent global outbreak, began when a virus escaped from a laboratory.
In 2005, scientists thawed out samples of the 1918 flu and tested it.A new study says that the current swine flu is very similar to the 1918 flu, and that people who lived through the 1918 epidemic have immunity to the current flu.
Leading flu expert Adrian Gibbs believes the current swine flu may have escaped from a lab.
It is also interesting that 2 of the 3 flu pandemics of the last century - the 1918 Spanish Flu and the 1976 swine flu scare - both started at military bases. Specifically, the 1918 flu started at Fort Riley, Kansas. The 1976 swine flu started - and never spread beyond - Fort Dix, New Jersey. It is unclear whether or not those bases conducted defensive biowarfare research.

Antiandrogens discovered in lakes and rivers are feminizing men as global sperm counts plummet
Shocking proposals to mass sterilize the population by artificially medicating municipal water supplies, which were outlined by President Obama’s top science czar in his 1977 book Ecoscience, are already in effect as global sperm counts drop and gender-bending chemicals pollute our rivers and lakes.
As we highlighted on Saturday, alongside John P. Holdren’s advocacy for a global planetary regime to enforce forced abortion, government `seizure of children born out of wedlock, and mandatory bodily implants designed to prevent pregnancy, Obama’s top advisor also called for,”Adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods.”
Holdren added that the sterilant must meet stiff requirements in that it must only affect humans and not livestock.
“It must be uniformly effective, despite widely varying doses received by individuals, and despite varying degrees of fertility and sensitivity among individuals; it must be free of dangerous or unpleasant side effects; and it must have no effect on members of the opposite sex, children, old people, pets, or livestock,” wrote Holdren with co-authors Paul Ehrlich and Anne Ehrlich.
Holdren notes that the proposal to forcibly mass sterilize the public against their will “seems to horrify people” and yet it doesn’t seem to bother him too much, amidst the myriad of other totalitarian Dr. Strangelove style ideas that are put forward in the book as a way to carry out an aggressive agenda of population reduction.
Global sperm counts have dropped by a third since 1989 and by half in the past 50 years. The rate of decline is only accelerating as more and more couples find it harder to have children. In studies of white European men, the rate of decline is as much as 50 per cent in the last 30 years. In Italy, this equates to a native population reduction of 22 per cent by 2050. Population reduction is already occurring amongst native residents in many areas of Europe and America.
Everything from cellphone signals, to eating soy products, to female hormones entering the water supply from HRT products has been blamed. There’s no doubt that environmental pollution from industry and pharmaceutical products has contributed, but new research has uncovered that additional chemicals known as Antiandrogens are now finding their way into the water supply.
“The University of Exeter is now working with chemists at the University of Sussex to establish exactly what the chemicals in question are, and hence to understand how they are being released into waste water,” states the study.
Antiandrogens are capable of preventing or inhibiting the biologic effects of androgens, male sex hormones, on normally responsive tissues in the body. Antiandrogens are given to transsexual men who want to become women and they are also given to sex offenders released from prison to reduce their sexual libido. These substances have the effect of counteracting masculinisation and effectively diminishing normal male biological characteristics associated with the release of testosterone.
Antiandrogens used in pesticides sprayed on our food have also been identified as “endocrine disruptors” that have been “demonstrated to induce demasculinization in rats.”
These newly discovered poisons, combined with contraceptive pills and HRT have literally had the effect of gender-bending no less than a third of male fish in all British rivers, which causes them to produce eggs and make them infertile. Dozens of species besides fish, such as polar bears, bald eagles, otters and whales have also been affected and the problem is global.
In waterways that are located close to sewage treatment facilities, a staggering 80 per cent of male fish were found to have female characteristics as a result of such chemicals.
It is also feared that bird populations could be devastated in the long run from chemicals being passed from infected fish when birds eat the fish. Veteran fishermen are already noticing a severe decline in fish populations across the country.
This is what comes out of our taps, not to even mention the scores of other dangerous compounds and chemicals that are in our water supply, we are drinking a poison that makes animals and fish infertile. Human sperm counts are also dropping on a consistent basis and the connection is clear – chemicals that make us infertile are already in the water supply, just as Holdren and other top eugenicists called for more than 30 years ago.
“There is certainly the potential for it to have an effect in humans – and possibly a marked effect,” said Professor Charles Tyler of Exeter University, one of the country’s leading authorities on the effects of oestrogen.
It is therefore tragically ironic that the filters needed to combat this very real and very dangerous threat to our environment and to both animals and humans are being prevented from being installed at sewage treatment facilities because of the “carbon footprint” they would create and fears that they would add to global warming (which is coincidentally the latest veil behind which Holdren camouflages his totalitarian eugenicist agenda). This is another example of how the manufactured farce that is man-made climate change is actually harming the environment by blocking real environmental solutions.
Since industrial-sized filters are needed at the source to remove these poisons, it is certainly not safe to assume that standard water filters would be able to remove them at home.
The population of the world is under sustained biological assault and the vast majority of people have no idea that it is happening. This goes above and beyond any debate about whether there are too many people on the planet. This shatters any acceptable notion of human rights as outlined in the Nuremberg code, which clearly states that, “The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential,” in any form of human experimentation, and yet the population is being mass medicated and mass sterilized not only against its will but completely in the dark.
We are being biologically attacked by hardcore totalitarian eugenicists hell-bent on forcibly reducing the global population who have publicly announced their plans for an 80 per cent plus population reduction program. The legacy of these megalomaniacs is born out of class racism, fascist thinking and a bloodlust to dominate and enslave the planet – they couldn’t give a snap! about the environment, this is all about eliminating the “useless eaters,” as they see us.

CNN implies that using the Internet generates miniscule CO2 emissions and that businesses will need to buy “renewable energy certificates” to compensate for it. More suckling at the trough of the global warming scam by the con artists waiting to fleece you of whatever money you have left.

Greening the Internet: How much CO2 does this article produce?
(CNN) -- Twenty milligrams; that's the average amount of carbon emissions generated from the time it took you to read the first two words of this article.
How green is your website? Calculating all the factors involved in a website can be tricky.
Now, depending on how quickly you read, around 80, perhaps even 100 milligrams of C02 have been released. And in the several minutes it will take you to get to the end of this story, the number of milligrams of greenhouse gas emitted could be several thousand, if not more.
This may not seem like a lot: "But in aggregate, if you consider all the people visiting a web site and then all the seconds that each of them spends on it, it turns out to be a large number," says Dr. Alexander Wissner-Gross, an Environmental Fellow at Harvard University who studies the environmental impact of computing.
Wissner-Gross estimates every second someone spends browsing a simple web site generates roughly 20 milligrams of C02. Whether downloading a song, sending an email or streaming a video, almost every single activity that takes place in the virtual environment has an impact on the real one.
As millions more go online each year some researchers say the need to create a green Internet ecosystem is not only imperative but also urgent.
"It is part of the whole sustainability picture," Chris Large, head of research and development at UK-based Climate Action Group, told CNN.
"Scientists are saying to us that we have 10 years to take some serious action to avoid the most catastrophic effects of climate change so taking some sort of initiative is absolutely vital."
A number of studies have highlighted the growing energy demands of computers. A 2007 report from research firm Gartner, for example, estimates the manufacturing, use and disposal of information and communications technology generates about two percent of the world's greenhouse gases -- similar to the level produced by the entire aviation industry. Anti-virus software firm McAfee reports that the electricity needed just to transmit the trillions of spam emails sent annually equals the amount required to power over two million homes in the United States while producing the same level of greenhouse gas emissions as more than three million cars.
"Most people don't appreciate that the computer on your desk is contributing to global warming and that if its electricity comes from a coal power plant it produces as much C02 as a sports utility vehicle," said Bill St. Arnaud of Canarie, a Canada-based internet development organization.
"Some studies estimate the internet will be producing 20 percent of the world's greenhouse gases in a decade. That is clearly the wrong direction. That is clearly unsustainable," added St. Arnaud.
What do you include when working out IT's carbon footprint?
Calculating the carbon footprint of the entire web however is not as easy as measuring the greenhouse gas emissions of a car.
Data centers -- massive buildings housing hundreds, if not thousands, of power hungry servers storing everything from Facebook photos and YouTube videos to company web sites and personal emails -- are often labeled as the worst offenders when it comes to harming the environment.
In 2002, global data center emissions amounted to 76 million tons of carbon dioxide -- a figure that is likely to more than triple over the next decade, according to a 2008 study by the Climate Group and Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI).
The footprint of network infrastructure, which is responsible for transporting information from data centers to personal computers, mobile phones and other devices, is harder to pinpoint.
However the same study estimates fixed broadband accounts for around four million tons of carbon emissions and could account for nearly 50 million tons of emissions by 2020.
The manufacturing, transport and use of personal computers and laptops also has what some say is the most significant impact, producing roughly 200 million tons of emissions in 2002.
As millions of people buy new laptops and computers every year, this figure could triple by the end of the next decade, according to the Climate Group report. And it is also true that, like driving a car compared to taking public transportation, some online activities produce more greenhouse gases than others.
More electricity is needed to store, transmit and download a video compared to a simple email, for example. A single search using Google releases 0.2 grams of C02 into the atmosphere, according to Google.
"And what that includes is the energy that we at Google use to be able to receive your search, process it and then send it back to you," Erik Teetzel, one of Google's "green" engineers, told CNN.
"If people are counting things outside the activity that we do, then we don't have control over that so we don't factor that into the equation," said Teetzel.
"We can measure exactly the number of queries that we service and come up with a very accurate estimate and answer from measured results of our actual emissions or energy use per query that we serve."
The drive for energy efficiency
Citing competitive reasons, Teetzel declined to divulge Google's annual power bill, yet he said the internet company has been taking steps to make its main six, five megawatt server farms green as well as the other, smaller data centers it has around the world. It is doing this by using more renewable energy, recycled water and efficient software that requires less electricity to run.
"From a business perspective, it makes sense to get the most what you want to call useful work done using the least amount of resources," said Teetzel.
"Our energy efficiency efforts really did stem from us making our business more competitive."
A number of other companies are also working to take the various pieces that comprise the infrastructure of the internet in a more sustainable direction. Wissner-Gross of Harvard has a company called C02Stats that enables businesses to monitor and manage the environmental impact of their web sites and then purchase renewable energy certificates based on their sites' monthly carbon footprint.
Netherlands-based Cleanbits lobbies web sites to go green by either by purchasing carbon offsets or switching to green hosting providers, like AISO.net, a solar-powered data center based in California. And, like Google, Yahoo also incorporates renewable power and other efficiency measures in its data centers.
However as more of the world joins an age characterized by global flows of information and communication, some say the role the internet plays in making the lives of millions not only more efficient but also environmentally friendly should not be discounted.
"I don't think we've done a good deal with articulating the fact that IT is inherently an efficiency tool," said Teetzel. "That is why you and I use the internet now to find out a lot of information that would have previously been found by us getting in a car and driving somewhere."
"It is a little bit unfair to say that you have this huge carbon cost of the IT industry without articulating the fact that in many, many cases it offsets what I would call heavier, more carbon intense activities that we do in our daily lives," he added.
"Moving electrons is far more efficient than moving atoms. It is actually a paradigm change."
In 1977 book, John Holdren advocated forced abortions, mass sterilization through food and water supply and mandatory bodily implants to prevent pregnancies
President Obama’s top science and technology advisor John P. Holdren co-authored a 1977 book in which he advocated the formation of a “planetary regime” that would use a “global police force” to enforce totalitarian measures of population control, including forced abortions, mass sterilization programs conducted via the food and water supply, as well as mandatory bodily implants that would prevent couples from having children.
The concepts outlined in Holdren’s 1977 book Ecoscience, which he co-authored with close colleagues Paul Ehrlich and Anne Ehrlich, were so shocking that a February 2009 Front Page Magazine story on the subject was largely dismissed as being outlandish because people couldn’t bring themselves to believe that it could be true.
It was only when another Internet blog obtained the book and posted screenshots that the awful truth about what Holdren had actually committed to paper actually began to sink in.
This issue is more prescient than ever because Holdren and his colleagues are now at the forefront of efforts to combat “climate change” through similarly insane programs focused around geoengineering the planet. As we reported in April, Holdren recently advocated “Large-scale geoengineering projects designed to cool the Earth,” such as “shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun’s rays,” which many have pointed out is already occurring via chemtrails.
Ecoscience discusses a number of ways in which the global population could be reduced to combat what the authors see as mankind’s greatest threat – overpopulation. In each case, the proposals are couched in sober academic rhetoric, but the horrifying foundation of what Holdren and his co-authors are advocating is clear. These proposals include;
- Forcibly and unknowingly sterilizing the entire population by adding infertility drugs to the nation’s water and food supply.
- Legalizing “compulsory abortions,” ie forced abortions carried out against the will of the pregnant women, as is common place in Communist China where women who have already had one child and refuse to abort the second are kidnapped off the street by the authorities before a procedure is carried out to forcibly abort the baby.
- Babies who are born out of wedlock or to teenage mothers to be forcibly taken away from their mother by the government and put up for adoption. Another proposed measure would force single mothers to demonstrate to the government that they can care for the child, effectively introducing licensing to have children.
- Implementing a system of “involuntary birth control,” where both men and women would be mandated to have an infertility device implanted into their body at puberty and only have it removed temporarily if they received permission from the government to have a baby.
- Permanently sterilizing people who the authorities deem have already had too many children or who have contributed to “general social deterioration”.
- Formally passing a law that criminalizes having more than two children, similar to the one child policy in Communist China.
- This would all be overseen by a transnational and centralized “planetary regime” that would utilize a “global police force” to enforce the measures outlined above. The “planetary regime” would also have the power to determine population levels for every country in the world.

Page 837: Compulsory abortions would be legal
“Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.”
As noted in the FrontPage article cited above, Holdren “hides behind the passive voice” in this passage, by saying “it has been concluded.” Really? By whom? By the authors of the book, that’s whom. What Holdren’s really saying here is, “I have determined that there’s nothing unconstitutional about laws which would force women to abort their babies.” And as we will see later, although Holdren bemoans the fact that most people think there’s no need for such laws, he and his co-authors believe that the population crisis is so severe that the time has indeed come for “compulsory population-control laws.” In fact, they spend the entire book arguing that “the population crisis” has already become “sufficiently severe to endanger the society.”
Page 786: Single mothers should have their babies taken away by the government; or they could be forced to have abortions
“One way to carry out this disapproval might be to insist that all illegitimate babies be put up for adoption—especially those born to minors, who generally are not capable of caring properly for a child alone. If a single mother really wished to keep her baby, she might be obliged to go through adoption proceedings and demonstrate her ability to support and care for it. Adoption proceedings probably should remain more difficult for single people than for married couples, in recognition of the relative difficulty of raising children alone. It would even be possible to require pregnant single women to marry or have abortions, perhaps as an alternative to placement for adoption, depending on the society.”
Holdren and his co-authors once again speculate about unbelievably draconian solutions to what they feel is an overpopulation crisis. But what’s especially disturbing is not that Holdren has merely made these proposals — wrenching babies from their mothers’ arms and giving them away; compelling single mothers to prove in court that they would be good parents; and forcing women to have abortions, whether they wanted to or not — but that he does so in such a dispassionate, bureaucratic way. Don’t be fooled by the innocuous and “level-headed” tone he takes: the proposals are nightmarish, however euphemistically they are expressed.
Holdren seems to have no grasp of the emotional bond between mother and child, and the soul-crushing trauma many women have felt throughout history when their babies were taken away from them involuntarily.
This kind of clinical, almost robotic discussion of laws that would affect millions of people at the most personal possible level is deeply unsettling, and the kind of attitude that gives scientists a bad name. I’m reminded of the phrase “banality of evil.”
Not that it matters, but I myself am “pro-choice” — i.e. I think that abortion should not be illegal. But that doesn’t mean I’m pro-abortion — I don’t particularly like abortions, but I do believe women should be allowed the choice to have them. But John Holdren here proposes to take away that choice — to force women to have abortions. One doesn’t need to be a “pro-life” activist to see the horror of this proposal — people on all sides of the political spectrum should be outraged. My objection to forced abortion is not so much to protect the embryo, but rather to protect the mother from undergoing a medical procedure against her will. And not just any medical procedure, but one which she herself (regardless of my views) may find particularly immoral or traumatic.
There’s a bumper sticker that’s popular in liberal areas which says: “Against abortion? Then don’t have one.” Well, John Holdren wants to MAKE you have one, whether you’re against it or not.
Page 787-8: Mass sterilization of humans though drugs in the water supply is OK as long as it doesn’t harm livestock
“Adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods is a suggestion that seems to horrify people more than most proposals for involuntary fertility control. Indeed, this would pose some very difficult political, legal, and social questions, to say nothing of the technical problems. No such sterilant exists today, nor does one appear to be under development. To be acceptable, such a substance would have to meet some rather stiff requirements: it must be uniformly effective, despite widely varying doses received by individuals, and despite varying degrees of fertility and sensitivity among individuals; it must be free of dangerous or unpleasant side effects; and it must have no effect on members of the opposite sex, children, old people, pets, or livestock.”
OK, John, now you’re really starting to scare me. Putting sterilants in the water supply? While you correctly surmise that this suggestion “seems to horrify people more than most proposals,” you apparently are not among those people it horrifies. Because in your extensive list of problems with this possible scheme, there is no mention whatsoever of any ethical concerns or moral issues. In your view, the only impediment to involuntary mass sterilization of the population is that it ought to affect everyone equally and not have any unintended side effects or hurt animals. But hey, if we could sterilize all the humans safely without hurting the livestock, that’d be peachy! The fact that Holdren has no moral qualms about such a deeply invasive and unethical scheme (aside from the fact that it would be difficult to implement) is extremely unsettling and in a sane world all by itself would disqualify him from holding a position of power in the government.

“A program of sterilizing women after their second or third child, despite the relatively greater difficulty of the operation than vasectomy, might be easier to implement than trying to sterilize men.
The development of a long-term sterilizing capsule that could be implanted under the skin and removed when pregnancy is desired opens additional possibilities for coercive fertility control. The capsule could be implanted at puberty and might be removable, with official permission, for a limited number of births.”
Note well the phrase “with official permission” in the above quote. John Holdren envisions a society in which the government implants a long-term sterilization capsule in all girls as soon as they reach puberty, who then must apply for official permission to temporarily remove the capsule and be allowed to get pregnant at some later date. Alternately, he wants a society that sterilizes all women once they have two children. Do you want to live in such a society? Because I sure as hell don’t.
