I wrote a story this week about how enforcement of Kern County's new restaurant grading ordinance has been going.
It will show up in Sunday's paper. But what I'm curious about now is what people think when they see the restaurant grades on the window of their favorite dining-out destination. Would seeing a "B" make you turn around and seek another place to eat? How about a "C"? Kern County Environmental Health officials say any restaurant that is open in Kern County is safe to eat at. But inspectors have found some unsightly examples of restaurant grossness — from severe cockroach infestations to overflowing grease-traps that caked a parking lot in scum-clogged water. What would it take for your favorite eatery to lose your trust? |
