Stuffed Animals for Local Fire & Police Departments
Did you know that police and fire personnel give children in tragic situtations stuffed animals to help comfort them?
The provisional class of the Junior League of Bakersfield (JLB) is accepting donations of new teddy bears and other small stuffed animals to donate to the local fire and police departments to help them in their efforts. Police and fire personnel will distribute these donations to children in need of comfort during times of tragedy and distress. If you would like to contribute, please bring your stuffed animals or donations to the JLB building located at 1928 19th Street. Office hours are Monday-Thursday 9 am - 2 pm. My son had to take an ambulance ride when he was 2 years old and he received a stuffed bear. It helped him IMMENSELY! We'll be making a donation very soon here and I encourage the rest of you to do the same :)
