The Pick-up Artist!
There is this new show, of course a reality show, called The Pick-up Artist on VH1 at 9:00 pm on Monday nights that I just get a kick out of. There is this guy named "Mystery", who is a former nerd himself, (not too fond of that name) that is a true master at picking up women. He has two sidekicks, also formerly not having any game, that are just as good and they go around the country teaching how to be a master pickup artist to men.

The show takes 8 men including one man, who is the 45 year old virgin and a bunch of other younger guys, who also are either virgins or have never had a girlfriend and more, having them compete for the title "Master Pick-up Artist". The winner will get $50,000 and tour with Mystery and his wingmen around the country teaching people the art of picking up women.

Believe it or not, when Mystery and his wingmen get started, the women go crazy and I can't say that these guys are models or anything. It is crazy to see them in action.

If you haven't seen it, check it out. If you have, what do you think? Are you a "Master Pick-up Artist" or do you need some help?

Ah, but what kind of "women" are they picking up? Honestly, with as much as women complain about how guys who they meet in a bar treat them, they're asking for it. It is like trying to pick up a guy in an anger management meeting (oh, I'm sure he'll act differently for me), you have to realize that the quality of fish reflects the quality of their environment. You don't drop your hook into a septic tank and expect to pull out a trout. And you certainly shouldn't expect to eat whatever you do pull out of there......

Do they show you what happens when the guys get them home? I doubt it. Because it wouldn't be pretty. You can be Smoove B in a dance club, but yelling meaningless platitudes in a girl's ear on a crowded dancefloor doesn't equate into being able to "seal the deal" when you get home.

Besides, picking up women in a club isn't exactly a good thing. Those women will bring nothing but disaster and misery to those poor, unprepared guys.

Oh, and STDs.

I actually did think about the fact that they were teaching these guys how to pick up women in a bar and they will not be prepared for what comes next like you said. So, closing the deal may be a problem!

Sounds a bit like "Beauty and the Geek", therefore, I'll check it out.

I'll check this out.  It's probably the same basic techniques as car salesmen etc.  It might be fun to watch an episode and dissect exactly what these guys are doing.
