I was gathering my purse & what-nots while in my car.  I heard something like someone slightly hitting my car.  As I got out, a woman walked by and said she thought she heard him hit my car.  So I started inspecting it to see if there was any damage.  The crotchety man got out of his car, carrying a briefcase (perhaps an attorney since it was in front of The Superior Court), told me if I didn't like it, to write his license plate down and walked away.  No apologies.  He didn't even bother to look to see if he had caused any damage.  Thank goodness, there was no damage.  But the fact remains, he was rude.  I don't like rude people.

So, for all to see, I did write his license plate down, his type of vehicle...for all to be made aware.

4 door, Grand Marquis LS Mercury, in a slight greenish tint (or something along those lines), he has an American Flag Decal in his rear window on the left side.  License plate # 5PSF046.

Although I could see no damage, I still thought this so called man should be brought to the publics attention for his careless and thoughtless behavior.

And men joke about how women can't drive, let alone parallel park...I did just fine fitting in between 2 cars, the car behind me left and this is when this so called man pulled in.

I was brought up that even if while opening your car door, you hit the car next to you, to leave your name & number on their windshield.  Obviously, this same courtesy does not apply any longer.  And this man is as old as the people who taught me this.

I hope you get paid back 10-fold and are treated like crap-o-la by everyone you come across.

Sorry, I just had to vent!  And to get a little justice of my own thrown into the mix.

Jamie Foxx may call himself a comedian, actor, radio personality, & held the awards ceremony  for the BET awards,  but he has done his share in disgusting me.  First he says hurtful & hateful things about a teen (Miley Cyrus), and now he says bigoted, ignorant, and racist comments when it comes to Michael Jackson..."Michael Jackson belongs to us, we SHARED him with everyone else".   What the hay?!!!!

It's insulting enough that their is an exclusive award show for African-Americans only, but then to make such a comment only shows his lack of respect for Michael Jackson who entertained all of us, and all of us (all colors & all over the world) bought tickets to his concerts.

This man has to be stopped.  He is a racist.  He doesn't deserve the money or the glory he gets from dividing any of us.

I'm interested in how our African American bloggers feel about this comment from Jamie Foxx,  as well as any other "colored' blogger.

only one wish....what would you wish for?

My wish would be for everyone to remain positive during these hard times....

Or would it be that I could just wash this gray right out of my hair.....

Or maybe even to have my years turned back so I could do what I didn't know then.....

Our wishes or dreams are never to late, so to all of you that want to make a wish, put it down on here and make those wishes come true.

Since I was in photo mode, I decided to drop by the Park at Riverwalk and snap some youngsters out swimming in the pond.  Obviously people ignore the signs by entering at their own risk and even taking their children with them.

I am not against people having a good time and as I have mentioned previously, we have a huge ocean where thousands of people swim at their own risk.  What I'm tired of are the lawsuits here in Kern County that follow the drownings.

I'm not writing this or posting the picture to get any hate comments.  I just thought even after today, they are still out fighting for their rights and in the most jovial way.  I hollered out to them while waiting for my light to turn  green and they all turned with huge smiles on their faces...what a great photo op.  BTW, on the other side of the street things were calm with the anti-gay rights people....  I wish I had had time to get their picture as well.  I thought about turning around but decided against it since traffic was horrible.

In all fairness to both sides, everyone was behaving.  What more could you ask for?!!!

I witness this all of the time and it drives me bonkers.  I always thought when you are out with your kids, whether they are babies, toddlers, or just little youngsters, this is a time to spend with them.  I'm talking about people that take their children along for walks with them.  I can't even count the times that I've seen a mom pushing a child in the stroller or walking with them around a neighborhood....that's a great thing....except mom is always on her cell phone completely oblivious to their child(ren) because their yakking away on their phones talking about the most mundane things....what are you doing? Oh nothing, just walking with the kids.  So what are you going to do today?  Oh nothing much.  What about you?  Hey, did you hear about so & so, can you believe she wore that to the party?  What ever happened to the parent pointing out the nature that surrounds them, the tweeting of a bird, the gathering of sticks so they can build a nest, pointing out flowers, or stopping to chat with a neighbor?  I hear complaints all of the time how we don't know each other in our own little neighborhoods....but who's to blame?  Wake up parents and start exposing your children to the positive things in life....cell phones are not a necessity. Calls can always be returned but you cannot ever turn the clock back on those precious moments with your children.

If you have lost your sweet little dachshund...he is with me.  I found him east of Gosford on Kroll.  If you know of someone that has lost their dog, please refer them to this site.  Either way, get in touch with me so this little guy can go home to his family.

The Jr. High (Middle School now days) that I attended did not have a graduation for finishing 9th grade (at that time).  In stead we had a picnic, signed each others yearbooks & just had fun.

I never knew they had 8th grade graduations until my daughter graduated.  It was a small affair.  Outdoors on the lawn in front of the school (best place since there were shade trees).  The Parents Club donated money for treats & sodas, parents took pictures & that was that.

Today I read that the owner of Red Lion Inn is offering the district his facilities.  Nice enough man to do so.  What I didn't like about his comment was that it's criminal to not have a graduation for these kids.  What is so criminal about cutting back on expenses and applying them in areas that the money would be put to better use.

Do people not realize that we are in a recession?  Do people realize that our state is in a world of hurt?

Everyone, everywhere, people are having to cut back on their expenses.

Everyday is not a bowl of cherries and it's high time that kids learn that they don't always get what they want.  Life is not always going to be fair.  Time to learn that lesson too.

As far as the parents, IMO, they are acting like spoiled little kids.  It's high time they grow up & show their children how to handle misfortunes with grace.  If I had an 8th grader graduating, I would not support "we'll show them, we are asking all parents to keep their children out of school for a day."  You are teaching your children bad habits on how to get your way, which I hope it backfires.  Be warned parents, that it will show up later when your kids hit their agonizing teenage years.  They have learned from you by the way you are handling this situation.
