Soetoro/Obama a despot?
Alan Keyes thinks so, saying Barry Soetoro aka Barack Obama has something to hide after his lawyers threatened to sue an organization after blocking its efforts to obtain his records from Occidental College to determine his constitutional eligibility to be president. Is this the kind of transparency we can come to expect from his regime? "The denial of justice is thus a despotic act that violates the basis not only of just government, but of civil society itself," Keyes wrote. Obama voluntarily placed himself in the position of being asked to provide his information, he said. "Given the Constitutional requirement, the only fact citizens need to justify their suit is the fact that Obama ran for president. He asked to be chosen, and therefore must answer the eligibility question." Mr. Soetoro/Obama, WHY won't you put all this to rest by proving you meet the consitutional standards? Is it because you are confident that the people who voted you in office will continue to go along with your ruse? Is it because you can't prove it and you in fact have usurped the presidency? I have to furnish a birth certicate for my kids to play little league ball but you're off the hook in doing the same for the top office in America despite your oath to uphold the Constitution? What a guy! 4 comments from 3 users

Snopes doesn't even come close to doing the issue justice. Plus Obama has not been found eligible in these court cases. The claimants were simply denied a hearing based on standing, which makes one question in just what situation could a person have standing? I think they're just weaseling their way out of a potentially explosive situation. The matter will not be resolved until Soetoro/Obama finally turns over the long-form birth certificate that he is keeping under lock and Keyes. Keyes, not Keys. Keep the correct spelling in mind as you can bet that name will pop up regularly in your radar and he gets the last laugh. posted by

Keyes has no standing. Because there is no basis for the claims in his petition. That's all.
Obama can not hand over the original birth certificate. He has no access to the original. Go to the hall of records and see if they will give you an original of your certificate. They will not. They will give you a certified copy. For about 15 bucks. But no one can get the original. Period.
Do you honestly think that Obama should be forced to run down to the hall of records and get a certified copy for every kook that rants about? Give me a break. The govenor and Health dept officials have all stated that the original is in the hands of the State of Hawaii. That's the best you can get. if that doesn't please you. Just ad this to the other list of mysticism that plaques you. You know. Like We never landed on the moon.
Obama was born to an American citizen in a state of Hawaii. None of the other tripe concerning 14 years, Marriage, etc matter.
Snopes got it right.
