Academic signing days?
I'll be going to North High's academic signing day Monday. These things have apparently been around for a few years but I have heard that it's becoming more of a national trend to celebrate academic all-stars heading to university similar to athletic signing days. I applaud North High for what they are doing. It is a model for every other high school in the country. After all, they are students first, then athletes. posted by

Three athletes and Honor Roll Students (GPA's 3.7 and above)at Stockdale High Signed yesterday all for D1 schools: Emily Irvin- Swimming for Boise State Curtis Huge- Football (Kicking/Punting) for Southeast Missouri State David Mitchell-Track for California State University Bakersfield Stockdale leads the district in the most D1 athletes to sign this year......7 of them It would be nice to see the Californian list all of the D1 athletes this year. posted by
