Tridge - > Politics Rant -> Thanks Again Conservatives
Thanks Again Conservatives

I was just reading up on a local bust in the LA national forest where they found over 20 armed illegal immigrants and tons of marijuana. And then I watched the drug czar talk about how dangerous they were and how these weren't cheech and chong plants and whatnot. So I just wanted to thank all the conservatives out there who have put the people in power who are keeping this black market alive. You would think that by now we would have figured out that marijuana should be legal and regulated, but no...  its much better to have it being sold by gangs to children with no tax. Great job conservatives!!

And you gotta be drunk to think that marijuana is worse for society than alcohol.

20 armed illegals....imagine that. George's open border policy couldn't have anything to do with that, could it?

And you gotta be drunk to think that marijuana is better for society than alcohol.

Really, catpaw?  How many people die every year from using marijuana?  Hint:  Less than one.

With a $20 bill you can buy a lethal dose of alcohol.

Legalize cannabis and those "20 armed illegals" you're so scared of will be cutting lawns somewhere.

After our next election it will get much worse. Both will grant amnesty to the 20+ million of illegals here, and allow them to bring in their families. We don't have enough lawn mowing jobs RF. The Government will want to keep cannabis illegal as that is how IMO they get their under the table fun money. By the way, Senior Clinton didn't do anything about this problem either.

Nah they lose a fortune enforcing marijuana laws. And Catpaw...  sorry but if you think marijuana is even a fraction as harmful to the body or to society as alcohol you know nothing about it whatsoever.

If they really wanted to make money they could regulate it. Marijuana is the #1 cash crop in the United States. It is easier to grow than tobacco and it sells for an average of $300 an ounce. If money is what they want, they are REALLY doing this all wrong.

How about this for compromise.

Legalize MJ, but then require anyone that wants government aid to submit to random drug testing for MJ and other drugs.  Fail the drug test, no government aid.

How About we enforce our immigration laws? Why don't we defend our border like we do the borders of other nations? I say no amnesty, no rights, no illegals! You can thank the democrats and bleeding heart liberals for wanting to reward those 20 million criminals with citizenship.

NO RonM -- lets do this. Make Marihoochie legal.

To qualify, you have to show proof of a real job. Gainfully employed for over 6 months - W-2 job or notorized letter from employer with valid EIN

Poof! There goes the market!

Like a Spooky in 30 degree bank on a village of grass hooches, every fifth round a tracer

Poof!

I can go for that.  It pisses me off that I have to pass a drug test (no problem for me) in order to keep my job and pay taxes, yet people with no jobs and that want free government assistance don't have to do likewise.

They don't even have  to be citizens, they just need to pop a kid out here.

posted by Tridge on Sep 7, 2008 at 05:38 PM

ron I can get behind that, even though I think that marijuana alone shouldnt hurt anyones ability to have a future. right now they deny financial aid to students who are caught with so little as a joint, and I have a hard time seeing how preventing them from getting an education helps anyone. as for the illegals... blame the people who hire them. If you have a mexican gardener and complain about illegals in the country you need a reality check. Guess what.. there is absolutely NO way you could keep me out of this country if I wanted in. you could have barbed wire, dogs and infrared every quarter mile and I would just use a boat. I would laugh at your attempts. now, if they didnt have a paycheck when they got here, then they might not stay. if it is that important to you, buy goods that werent farmed with mexican labor from independant farmers. my guess is that soon as people actually have to make a sacrafice to keep the "illegals" out their tune will change. It is easy to hate something that doesnt affect you at all.

lol chico... do you recommend the same thing for alcohol?

posted by proam on Sep 7, 2008 at 05:53 PM

Tridge, Yea, It did affect me, In numerous ways when they all went stomping down my street in the hundreds, demanding their rights, while flying their Mexican flags. They are all so damned proud & attached to Mexico, yet don't lift a finger or make demands in their own country.  I'm not even going to go any further with this as it makes my blood boil. We have not stepped foot in the Mexican eatery that we use to frequent since, as we went there to eat, and they to were out rallying. If I had my say people in prison, and on welfare would be picking our food.

Honestly Proam I dont see how them marching outside influenced anything other than your mobility one afternoon lol. I agree that we need to stop the flood of immigrants from being so strong, but personally I think most people's problems with immigration truly comes down to "i just dont like to look at em".

posted by proam on Sep 7, 2008 at 06:11 PM

It doesn't have a dang thing to do with not wanting to look at them, unless your talking about the 6 children, Mom, Dad, and God knows who all blocking an isle at the grocery store, target, where ever, speaking Spanish, ignoring me when I say excuse me, can I get by Please. I have Hispanic friends that I care for and respect. Don't insult me!

Proam i wasnt referring specifically to you. I am sure you know quite a few people that fit the description I was giving. Hell my father is one of em, as embarassing as that is.

It seems to run hand in hand with the mentality that we are becoming overpopulated, which wrong or right is a serious argument.

We are becoming over populated, look at our hospitals, schools, and roads.I'm sure you've seen this before but if not you might want to check this out...http://www.youtube.com/watc... .
