I'm an atheist when it comes to sports, too...

Homer: "I'm not a bad guy," he tells God, "I work hard and I love my kids. So why should I spend half my Sunday hearing about how I'm going to hell?"

God: "Hmm, you've got a point there. You know, sometimes even I'd rather be watching football."

We can thank the Christians that the "sport" of throwing those who would not bow to the Roman "gods" to the lions is no longer practiced. And also for coming to Latin America to break the spell of Satan over the natives who participated in the bloody spectacles that we witnessed in "Apocalypto."

I bet even the meek Christians could beat the 49er's this year.

Oh yeah, we just can't thank the conquistadors enough, sweethearts that they were. And in comparison to the inquisitors, they were sort of amateurish. No finesse at all...

I bet even the meek Christians could beat the 49er's this year.

Which is meeker: the 49er's offensive line or defensive line? One thing's for sure: the 49er's receivers don't have anywhere near lion-chasing-me speed. I'm not sure where to apply the crucifiction of the top dog yet: the head coach or the QB? Whichever one shows the least improvement ought to get nailed-up.
