Where did you get your wedding dress? Target!?!
I just saw this story about Target selling wedding dresses and how it has started an uproar on fashion blogs about whether there are any boundaries when it comes to saving money.
I personally do not see a problem with buying from Target if they are just as beautiful as the $800 wedding dresses and are of good quality. Some people don't have a ton of money to get married either and can't afford to spend $800 on a dress they are going to wear once. People don't make a big deal out of David's Bridal and I see commercials for $99 dresses. What do you think? Does it matter? Would you be embarrassed to say you bought your dress at Target? Check it out for yourself here: www.target.com/gp/browse.html 5 comments from 5 users

Oh for heavens sake! This has to be the ultimate in snobbery. Who cares how well made a wedding dress is when it's going to be worn once for just a few hours? My new granddaughter did use Daves but the one she found that looked the most beautiful on her was on sale for about $300. That's still a lot but not as much as the ones her friends kept bringing to her that were 1200 or so and didn't look nearly as gorgeous on her. The didn't have her size so they found one in PA and had it shipped here. A friend used to have a bridal shop in the southwest and their dresses were about a third what you pay at Daves. Lord only knows what you'd pay through a designer shop. As for handing it down, most young women want to pick out their own style..not to mention the size may be too far off to alter. For a real deal..try Ebay. I think Target is a great idea. Takes the snootery out of the business. posted by
