Pittsburgh Steelers Fans?
I have been looking online for any indication of a Steelers fan group here in Bakersfield. Not having much luck ... guess they aren't that popular? (hehe ... I'm not much of a sports fan ... can you tell?) But seriously, my boyfriend is from Philly and doesn't know many people here in town ... he loves the Steelers and I would like to find somewhere that maybe he could hook up with a few fellow fans? Does anyone know a bar or restaruant that might be popular for someone cheering on black and gold? There is a game Monday I am told ... but anytime we go out, he is the only Steelers fan ... anyone able to help me? 5 comments from 5 users

Be careful going out to the local hotspots and letting people know you are a Steelers fan. A majority of the "fans" in this town are Raiders fans. And almost 99% of them are on parole or probation. And after drinking a Bud Light, they will stab you! posted by

Sorry but as far as i know here in Bakersfield, its Raiders, Cowboys, and some 49ERS fans, but you could get lucky and find some steeler fans out there some where. If i were to guess it would be about 50% Raider fans, 25% Cowboy fans, 15% 49ers fans, and 10% other here in town. posted by

This is not helpful! LoL ... (Great description of Raiders fans btw ... but I already work with kids who have gang influences in their lives so I am at least familiar with the Raiders and 49ers and their "fans.") ... Sooooo ... okay... so there is a game Monday >> Steelers vs. Bronco's << if we go out to watch the game ... who are most the other people going to be cheering for? Are Steelers actually disliked in Bakersfield ... or just neutral with no one really caring about them? ...... I will try MySpace and Facebook ... but I am still open to any suggestions! :-) posted by

Try B-RYDER'S on White Ln and Lilly you will find a Pittsburgh crowd there..
