I Love Sam Cooke
Would spell check have made a difference for these political protest signs? I love the title of this clip: Teabaggers Untie.

Hahaha! Awesome video. But remember--these people aren't representative of the majority of Americans who are upset. This video only proves what John Stuart Mill said: "Not all conservatives are stupid, but all stupid people are conservatives." posted by

Again, back to the Mill quote. The stupid people on the Howard Stern show agreed with *CONSERVATIVE* positions, not liberal postions. posted by

I'm not saying they made it up. What I'm saying is that the interviewer asks them if they support Obama's position on issue X, and they say yes. But issue X is a conservative position, not a liberal one. Is it possible that these people were voting for Obama simply because of who he is or what he looks like? Certainly. And it's just as likely that people did *NOT* vote for Obama because of who he is or what he looks like. posted by

adampayne, I'm really quite surprised to see you post something like this. At least your "Time-Out Toddlers" had a semblance of focus and purpose. Personally, I think this is just another obnoxious pail of bait that we see so often here on these blogs, the kind that motivates others to slop their own bait in the trough. I'll admit that I have posted some really obnoxious blogs, but it's always in reaction to the ridiculous hyperbole of the liberals. Some readers get the irony, some readers think I'm being serious; whatever, I don't care. I think that video is really quite insensitive, considering the number of people I know with dyslexia and the frustration that accompanies that disorder. A friend of mine, a 30ish businessman, struggles every day to cope. He struggled through six years of college to finally get his BA in History, and everyday life for him is a constant practice of "filling in the blanks." Some of the signs appeared to be intentionally misspelled for the sake of irony. But I guess you don't think that conservatives can be that smart where word-play is concerned. And finally, most of those people are likely products of the public school system. Enough said. posted by

Sorry, vanityfair, you do not appreciate the humor. I guess when the pratfall is on the right shoe rather than the left shoe you are unable to chuckle.

What's funny about people who can't spell? That's downright mean-spirited, and you see fit to mock them. I notice that you didn't respond to my comment other than to criticize and judge me. You're right, adam, I don't appreciate the humor, and people like you are the problem. Where's YOUR compassion and understanding? posted by

You gotta be careful about laughing at the misspellings of others. It could come back and make you look like a moran.

Some of those morans are incompetnt. Kudos to the gay guys who had the stones and creativity to make a mockery of the fundamentalist Christians' sign about homosexuality. posted by

vanityfair, nowhere in my response did I judge you. I simply stated from your comments that you did not appreciate the humor of the post. There was nothing else in your post to comment on. If you want to view these people in the clip as victims with some type of learning disability that is up to you. In my opinion, when people parade their ignorance for all the world to see do not be surprised or become outraged when others point out the obvious flaws in their simple designs. posted by

dj, Mill's comment ended with "all the stupid people I have known are Conservative" . Doesn't seem fair to insult all stupid people by assuming they are conservatives. Actually, I have a lot of respect for true conservatives (Buckley, Goldwater, etc.). These Rush-loving, Beck-quoting crazies are haters, not conservatives.
