We export good jobs to China and India.  Their economies accelerate and develop as a result, sending their demand for energy soaring.

We ship out our jobs, and get an energy crisis in return.  The law of unintended consequences strikes again.

It`s business, can`t blame them , they have to profit, it`s called business.....USA is not good business....

I'll guess gas and oil prices drop way down before the election?  There's the usual Summer/Winter blend issues, but I think a big part of the price increase is that the oil companies see this summer as the last hurrah.

DrChainsaw, what makes you think these consequences were unexpected?  Aside from the Bush Administration motto, "Nobody Could Have Foreseen (fill in the blank.)"

Random I told you a couple a months ago     Gas will hit $ 5.00    I also said GOOD

With the housing down    Food prices up    Gas $ 5.00   We are getting rid of Illegals     Their going home

Next the tree huggers and Liberals       Then we can start drilling and saving our money here and not sending it over sea's

Once the Union's realize they can't make $ 40.00 a hour  the GM and Ford's might stop sending their work out of the country.

So, once slavery is re-established in this country everything will be peachy.

.

The Bush Administration has been restructuring the country into two sections:  people with millions of dollars, and people who will have no say in what the people with millions of dollars instruct them to do.

.

GM & Ford could have been up to their ears in new-car orders if they'd knocked off the twelve-mile-per-gallon models and concentrated on fuel efficiency.

No Random the Union's are killing them self's  and you know it

No, Ron, they're all that stand between the Shrubbery and the American worker, these days.

.

Detroit *BADLY* miscalculated in their auto designs, and they are paying the price for it.  The unions had no role whatsoever in choosing what kind of cars to build.

How can a company Ford/Gm    compete     when they have to add $ 4000.00 to a car because of the Unions

Auto Designs?     Ford and Gm have the best looking cars and trucks       & nbsp;  I would never but a Jap car or foreign

I'll pay $ 10.00 a gallon too    just to see you cry UNCLE and let us start drilling

Ron, if gas goes to $20 a gallon I'll still say no to ANWAR drilling.

.

That extra $4000 is because the US has an insane health-care system.
