I need your help in planting an underground post-Bakersfield-Sound garden

Gather your hoes, your shovels, your work gloves, your garden hats, and all of your garden tools.  Most of all, gather your seeds, tomorrow, at Bakersfield Sound Underground,

http://www.bakersfieldsound...

I'm going to help you plant a post-Bakersfield-Sound-garden.  These are the seeds I will be using:

mentoring seeds

collaboration seeds

seeds of support

seeds of appreciation for the past

seeds of experimentation

bridge-building seeds

If you have any other seeds that you believe would grow well in our garden, bring those with you as well.  This is the song I wrote to get you in the mood for planting:

I'm Growing a Garden of Sound

Dr BLT

words and music by Dr BLT copyright 2008

I'm growing a garden

a garden of sound

I'm growing a garden

and its underground

I'm planting each seed

from the old trees of yore

I'm hoping the clouds

will produce a down pour

I'm planting the seeds

then I'll dance a rain dance

I'll be hoping and praying

for only a chance

to grow a great garden

of peace and of love

a wondrous sound garden

with warm sun from above

I'll toil with my very own

blood, sweat and tears

and welcome yours too

as we turn back the years

and borrow the best

from the cats from the past

create brand new plants

fusing new styles meant last

I'm growing a garden

but, Lord, will it grow

I'll chop down the weeds

with my sharp garden hoe

and make sure each plant

gets some shade and some sun

the harvest will show

if my work has been down

I'm growing a garden

so come watch it grow

the nutrients made from a

musical show

the gardeners are musical

folks with green thumbs

they're workin' so hard

in the Bakersfield sun

"Traded everything for love."  Now that's what I call passion!
